  1. Financial Consultant

Written by the company

Retireo is a self-directed retirement planning platform built for people who want clarity, not a sales pitch. Rather than handing over your finances to an advisor, Retireo gives you the tools to model your own retirement decisions and see the tradeoffs before you commit. The platform brings together the planners retirees actually need in one subscription: a retirement budgeting tool to keep day-to-day spending and long-term goals in sync, a Social Security claiming age calculator to compare timing scenarios, an income and drawdown modeler to see how long savings may last under different choices, a required minimum distribution (RMD) timeline tracker so tax-year deadlines don't sneak up on you, and an estate document checklist to keep your paperwork organized in one place. Members use Retireo to replace scattered spreadsheets and guesswork with a single, organized view of their plan, then make decisions with their own family or advisor. Retireo provides software tools and educational information only. It does not offer individualized financial, tax, or legal advice, and encourages members to consult a licensed professional before acting on any results. Retireo is a product of Retireo Retirement Technologies Inc., based in Portland, Maine.

Finally stopped guessing about Social Security

I'm 63 and have been going back and forth on whether to claim now or wait until 67. My spreadsheet was a mess and every article online contradicted the last one. Retireo let me put in my own numbers and see the claiming age comparison side by side, which is all I actually wanted. Nobody trying to sell me an annuity, no advisor calling me. Just the math laid out. The budgeting planner was a bonus, I found about $400 a month I'd been ignoring. Worth the subscription.
