The best plugin for retouch, and very supportive team

Apparently hidden off in their policies page - which I only discovered today myself after spending two days going back and forth with these guys - is a warning that's like basically be sure you really want this, because even if it doesn't work you're up the river.

The dodge and burn plugin is entirely useless to me. I spent about an hour in chat with them the evening I purchased it trying to figure out why the results it was giving me were nonexistent, especially compared to the way the same photo was cooked beyond recognition by the dodge and burn cloud version. First they insisted that I was using it wrong. Then the difference was because personal computers just couldn't handle the kind of processing that the cloud based versions did. Then they wanted me to create and run actions that would have the plugin run multiple times and duplicate the results repeatedly. In the end, it would have taken significantly more time to do all the nonsense workarounds they kept throwing at me than it ever took me to do the kind of retouching this was supposed to help with in the first place.

I submitted a ticket later evening about the issue, saying this was useless and a waste of over $100. It would be different if this was some cheap $10 action you found online - but this is far more expensive and an obscene waste of money. First they asked a second time (we did this in chat the night before) to send photos showing that it didn't do anything. Then I got another response telling me I need to change the color space I use because the plugin doesn't work unless you're in adobe RGB or sRGB.

None of this nonsense is made clear before you throw your money at them. So just be aware that you need to be really sure that you're prepared to try and make this nonsense work before giving them any money. I uninstalled the whole thing yesterday because I was just fed up with the nonsense. I'm not about to go through downloading and setting it up again just to keep troubleshooting it.

To be clear, the actions provided by their representative were not even close - much less similar - to the actions provided by their rep. Those actions just involved running the plugin repeatedly and duplicating layers, making the process remarkably time-consuming and either still giving almost no results - or comically disastrous ones when used on photos from a different session.

Also, I'm not sure why manual skin selection or manual retouching is painted as such an inferior option when the alternative is something that did literally nothing unless you ran it several times on the same photo for equally unusable results. I've actually settled on using another AI program - which does still require internet connectivity but somehow manages to accomplish transferring the data it needs significantly faster - and lets you tweak the changes prior to exporting them so you know what will and won't work before using up one of the paid credits. Just another thing to keep in mind, as the cloud-based editing here doesn't give you that option. Which feels like an... interesting choice.

And just to be clear - my only actual concern here is the fact that several points raised after the fact, including requirements about which color space you must allegedly use - and the fact that these products are nonrefundable - are not made reasonably clear prior to purchase. Which feels... not entirely unintentional.

I purchased 3D LUT Creator in 2020 (now retouch4me). During this time, I changed my PC, upgraded to new Windows and purchased additional LUTs from the site. Everytime when I encountered any problems, I was given assistance via their online Chat. Today, Vladis and Anastacia have helped me out via online Chat. They are really kind individuals. Lovely.

The plugins are awesome. The customer service I had with an agent named Vladis however, is another story. While trying to solve a rendering speed issue with their dodge & burn plugin, he came to conclusion that the reason why they were slow is because I was using pirated version of their products. I couldn't believe that a company on which I had just spent hundreds of dollars on, with proof of purchased was literally calling me a thief. On the other end, Anastacia has been amazing so far!

The problem is still unsolved however, I'm hoping to solve it with another one of their agent soon!

Edit: I can’t believe they still accusing me in their response. Out of this world lol

My hard drive was corrupted, so I had to re-install a lot of my plugins. To get a new activation key, I was going to email support, but an agent was able to assist me right there and then. Consequently, there was no delay in workflow. Much appreciated.

Don't buy it. It's useless. The cooperation and support tragic!

I have been a plugin user for a long time. always responsive support. If necessary, reinstall the program on a new PC, they organized the missing activation keys for me! Thanks to Maria 🌹

Anastasia helped me solve my issue quickly. I lost use of the Retouch4me plugins and panel. I knew I had to logout and re-login but couldn't remember how to do it. She answered very quickly with the correct answer (Press the number 0 and click you email in the plugin). Thank you, Anastasia.
