Complaint resolved

I have just discovered a direct debit notification from Reward Angels for my 97 year old mother, taking £199.99 annually. No doubt she was "sold" this over the phone. It also looks like it can only be used digitally with a smartphone or computer. The website gives no detail as to what these rewards are, so I'm sure this is a fraud and scam. She has bo idea what it is and there is no other paperwork about this in her possession. I'm furious!

UPDATE 5/6/23

Thanks to Hanifa at Reward Angels for investigating, and issuing a full refund to my mother. Much appreciated.

STEER CLEAR

This company have taken out £200 from a relative with dementia who would not be able to give his consent or understand how to give his bank card details without LOTS of help. Shame on you for exploiting vulnerable people.

This company have taken a direct debit…

This company have taken a direct debit payment of £249.99 from my 87 Yr old Sister's account. She has dementia and there us no way she would have willingly set this up.
I will be asking her bank's fraud department to look into this immediately!

Scammers preying on the elderly

Rewardangels set up a DD and took money from my 90 year old relatives bank account - she has no idea who they are and did not set up the payment. Absolute scammers preying on the elderly. She is worried sick. Where are they getting these bank details from and how are the banks allowing the payments?

They set up a direct debit for £249.99…

They set up a direct debit for £249.99 from my mothers bank account having no authorisation to do so, I don't know where they got my mothers bank account details or who set up the direct debit. My mother is 93 years of age and is blind and deaf.
She received a letter from the above company telling her that they were going to do this transaction by the 28th of February 2023. I contacted them to cancel this payment, and to remove her details from their records, they replied with an apology and stated that this would be done immediately. Unfortunately, they took the money from my mothers account regardless. I contacted them again, and they were going to look into it through their accounts department.
I have yet to hear from them.
Luckily, this information was transmitted to her bank by myself, and she was reimbursed.
Unfortunately I had to give a 1 star recommendation just so a review could be made.

Fraudulent company

My 93 year old mother, who is deaf, housebound and registered blind, has had a letter stating that you are taking £249.99 from her bank account by direct debit. She has never heard of you and obviously knows nothing about this. I have no idea how you have got her bank details, because she doesn’t even know them herself. She couldn’t read your letter because she can’t see!
I’ve just arrived for a visit and she asked me to read the letter to her. I have cancelled the direct debit and I can’t believe that such a disreputable company has so far been allowed to stay in business, because judging by other reviews, preying on very elderly vulnerable people is the way you conduct yourselves. I believe that you are another manifestation of the supercard company who previously had my mother’s bank details when they took money from her bank account. I would like a detailed explanation of how you can explain my mother’s agreement to this.
I have spoken to Reward Angels on the phone on Monday and given all the details and asked for an explanation. There was no explanation given. I was told that someone would phone me back, but they didn’t. They actually mentioned Supercard when answering my call, which confirms what I suspected.

Reward angels have fraudulently tried…

Reward angels have fraudulently tried to take £249.99 from my elderly neighbours bank account. She has never heard of Reward Angels.. how did they even get her bank details! Luckily I stopped it in time and reported them to the bank. Absolutely disgraceful especially as she is finding it hard to even heat her house at the moment!

If i could leave zero stars i would.

If i could leave zero stars i would.
Money taken fraudulently from my account without mastercard authorisation (every transaction usually requires this).
Nothing has been authorised from this account.
Presuming this company is connected to the equally dodgy Supercard as i called about that but was returned a call from these guys instead.
Issue now taken up by fraud department with my bank.
Avoid this company!

Unauthorised payment by Reward Angels

My 93 year old father had just received hi bank statement and noticed an unauthorised payment of £249.99 with the reference of IB RE Reward Angels first payment.
My dad is, as I said 93 years old, predominantly deaf and struggles with communication due to his age.
He said he didn’t authorise the payment and can’t understand what it’s for. I have emailed Reward Angels explaining this and asked them for a full refund. It is disgraceful the way this company appear to to be targeting the elderly as other review indicate.
