I bought a left handed Faith Blue Moon Venus from Richards last month. The instrument is amazing and it was made even moreso by the care and attention it received from Richard and the team in ordering and preparing the instrument for me. I received a number of updates, allowing me to interact regarding any special requirements I may have had regarding set up. Then to have Richard himself play test each guitar and personally pack each one that is sent out. It's amazing care to detail that many other retailers have long forgotten.

I thoroughly recommend Richard’s Guitars and I couldn’t be any happier with my Telecaster Elite. I purchased it used and when Richard described it as being better than new, he certainly was speaking the truth. It truly is stunning. The level of detail that has gone into the preparation and setup is outstanding. Thank you so much!

I received my Faith Blue Moon Venus a couple of days. I had it delivered to my Mum's, so I didn't get to open it until today. It took 10 days from ordering to delivery and you kept me updated all along the way regarding the preparation of the instrument for shipping to me. I found it both amusing and reassuring when I received an email saying 'it is waiting for Richard to play test it' as it's a lefty and I imagined Richard with a long line of guitars to test personally. All I can say in conclusion is that the care and attention that everybody at your company gives is excellent and I received more than a top quality product, I received a product that excels thanks to the love and care of the specialists I ordered it from.

I'm pasting this review from my review I left on the product page for the Eastman 122-1ce because I think it is a good enough description of my experience.
I was originally looking for a Faith guitar because I thought they looked really nice but I called up the shop to ask about the stock. I told the guys at the shop about my playing preference and they recommended this to me instead. I was a bit skeptical because it was over £100 cheaper but I'm so glad I went with this.

First off, the service is amazing, they communicate with you every step of the way and never take more than a day to answer any questions on Facebook Messenger. They took into account the fact that I'm a beginner (only been playing for 2 months) and so they lowered the action for me. The delivery took 11 days which isn't as fast as other places but then again, what other places do you know that give you a free setup? None. The setup was done really well and it's saved me getting it set up at a local guitar shop so I'm more than happy to wait a bit longer when I get a guitar that's set up so well. Thats, why I went with Richard. 11 days really, isn't that long anyway...

The thing I love about this shop and Richard is the passion. It is clear that Richard loves what he does. It really does feel like the guitars and customers come first and the money comes second. I love that. It beats buying from any mainstream guitar shop any day.

As for the guitar, woah. It sounds exactly how I hoped it would. Really nice projection and it is just as bright as I like it. Leagues above my Fender FA125 that I was learning on. The guitar feels really nicely made and the wood is clearly of good quality. It also holds its tune really well, which I was slightly concerned about.

If you need to buy an acoustic guitar, then this is the place to go to. I ordered an Eastman E1D and an online purchase felt more like good old-school in-store customer service. Guitar arrived beautifully set up to my specs after calling me to discuss options. On a budget guitar!!!!!! wow! Ordering another guitar in a few months. Thank you to Richard and his team!

I bought a Lakewood M-31 custom (CP, cedar top, rosewood back and sides, 45 mm nut, D-shape neck) at the end of November 2020 from Richard(s Guitars) via his web shop. The M-31 CP model is not produced with a cedar top within the standard range of Lakewood but can be ordered via the custom shop, which Richard had done. I am very, very happy with the instrument. It arrived very well set up and has exactly the warm cedar/rosewood tone I was looking for rather than the brighter sounding spruce top version. Communication with Richards team was great. The guitar took a bit longer to arrive (about 3 weeks) but it was very well worth waiting for and it arrived before Christmas, which was what I had hoped for.

I purchased an Auden Neo Colton. My phone calls and Web interaction with the Store were pleasant and the advice given was excellent and gratefully received.
The Auden is remarkable. I'm extremely happy with it.

You don’t find many retailers like this.
Really do do what they promise and with a passion. Received my Faith Nomad guitar against the odds at this time of year. Really well packaged. Set up perfectly. worth every penny.
Look forward to future purchases.

I purchased a used product online, so missed out on what I imagine is what they do best - i.e. provide F2F service & advice
The Good:
The guitar is great, as described, and REALLY well set up. In the long term that will be what counts
The people I spoke to were really friendly, helpful & courteous. The phone line was always staffed. The messaging didn't seem to be being answered, but I always got help by phone

The Not So Good
It took c 3 weeks to receive a product that was in stock. I'm fine with the rationale (busy workshop after Black Friday etc) but still seems like quite a wait
The delivery process was not good. The shop is about 30 mins from me, but although I offered to pick up, this was not possible. Instead the guitar was sent via UPS. I know its a busy time of year, but this was not great. They took 4 days to deliver (after a lot of chasing) claimed to have attempted to deliver when they hadn't, and lost it for a while too so I couldn't even collect it. It arrived in the back of an unmarked van in a pile of boxes that were all over the place. The depot had already explained that they were using untrained temps to get the parcels out. Fortunately the hard case had protected the guitar, but the outer packaging was pretty battered. So this was a bit stressful - but ended OK. From a quick scan of recent reviews, might be worth reviewing logistics.

Know there's more detail in the second category, but I'm still intending this to be constructive & positive overall, hence 4 stars. Thanks

I've just received a Godin XTSA from Richard's Guitars and am very happy with the service received.

Richard talks about supply issues with Godin in one of his videos and my order was no exception. With a global pandemic raging and the first guitar disappearing while in the hands of UPS on its way to me, it took a little while for the order to arrive, but communication throughout was friendly and positive. I finally received the guitar last week and am very impressed. I would not normally recommend buying a guitar without holding it in your hands and playing it a while, but with Richard you know that it will be thoroughly checked and carefully set up. Nothing less than perfect will be sent out.

Have had a week now to assess my recent purchase, and I am delighted with the guitar. An "elite" quality telecaster at half the cost. Expertly set up by Chris and ably assisted by Jon on sales. I would highly recommend FGN over other name brands.

Watching Richard’s YouTube videos with him passionately talking about & demonstrating how great Dowina guitars are is what convinced me to buy one of these beautiful guitars. It has an exquisite sound that is taken to a different dimension when plugged into an amp. A big “Thank you” to Richard & the rest of the team. If I buy another guitar, it will definitely be from you. The only confusion I had with ordering was that my order updates on the site said that it was in stock, when the guitar wasn’t. I’m guessing that this is probably because other items in the order where in stock. Anyway, that’s a minor detail.

Recently purchased Eastman SB55/v-sb in Richard Guitars. There was a shortage in stock, but thanks to good communication with shop team managed to get a guitar fairly quickly, even prior to originally estimated date.
Guitar came well-packed and set-up very well.
Consultations and advice about guitar specs prior to the purchase were also very helpful.
Would definitely recommend this company - very professional attitude on all levels.

Having had many 'Strat' type guitars over the years and never really bonded with them, even a Fender Custom Shop one, I was still looking for 'the ideal' one. Budget became an issue, less than 1k, wanted HSS as well. After many hours mulling over online reviews and You-tube videos, and not having the energy to trail around guitar shops, I decided on the FGN Odyssey Standard. A quick chat online with Jon found they had a Charcoal Grey one in the shop, my second choice colour but went for it. Asked for it to be set up with 9's with 'a nice easy low action, was told no problem and no extra charge for the strings'. I was in no hurry for the guitar and sure enough it was worth the wait. The guitar arrived the day after notified of dispatch, well packed in a large box, in its gig-bag. Perfectly presented with no finger-marks, or marks of any sort, it was indeed set up with with 9's, Daddario's, not my usual make but fine with me for initial 'running in'. The guitar was well set-up, apparently not in-house due to Covid related reasons and selling lots of guitars! The action wasn't quite set to my idea of a low action, but this is all very subjective. The neck needed a little adjustment a day later but easily done, being used to messing around with guitars not an issue for me. See a separate review for this great guitar elsewhere but I'll mention the lack of Allen wrenches for lowering the bridge posts and the string saddles. I had them anyway collected over the years but this is disappointing FGN? There was one for the Truss rod which a lot of people won't touch but that was it, most guitars of this price would include the saddle and post keys as well. Anyway, this is my first purchase from Richards. Would I buy another? The price of this was certainly the cheapest I found even with the extra postage cost and you get his reputation behind the purchase. I've read the FGN's come from the factory superbly set up anyway so maybe there wasn't much to do to this one, but I can see myself buying another from him in the future, especially if it's a budget type guitar, or an Eastman, Gordon Smith or such like. 5 stars from me first time round.

Had been yearning for a faith blood moon guitar for quite some time, but having to virtually live in work I have little time to discuss at length on the phone my requirements. This is left up to my wife, and the only one she will deal with is Richard.
He always has the time to listen to her and will bend over backwards for a customer and help and advise in any way he can.
Received my guitar today, perfectly set up and safely packed. Beautiful to look at and even better to play, and a strap to match.
This is my third guitar I’ve had off Richard and it won’t be my last.

I have watched many video reviews of various acoustic guitars but narrowed it down to Seagull s6 but after watching Richard compare the two I was amazed at the difference. The Eastman sounded so much better that I ordered one straight away. Updates on the progress of my order and when it would be shipped were very good.
The guitar came setup lovely and is so easy to play as the action is perfect. This is a welcome extra to have that all important setup on a new guitar thrown in for free. A solid wood build with an ebony fretboard at this price is ridiculous. Many thanks to Richard and the team - one very happy customer 👍
