Disgusting Richmond Skinless cardboard

These skinless pork sausages have now become absolutely disgusting - 42 percent pork and something that tastes like what goes into our cardboard collection that the council takes away every two weeks.
They are certainly less than the one star given.
They have become very chewy and that extra tasteless flavour is working fine.
Avoid

What has gone wrong with Richmond ?

I used to buy these regularly about 10 years ago, I bought a packet last week and they tasted of absolutely nothing ! A really unpleasant texture and absolutely no seasoning I could detect, what has happened to these sausages ? Have the salt police struck again ? I cannot believe how bad these are, I certainly won't be buying them again ! It used to say "Irish recipe" on the packs, I see that is now gone, could that be the reason ?

What’s happened to the real Richmond…

What’s happened to the real Richmond sausages!
The ones I’ve purchased on/ off in last year or 2 absolutely terrible.
They don’t cook right anymore, frying, they turn tough on the outside, with not much inside either, and un edible.
Size has halved, what’s going on?
I won’t be buying ever again, awful!
I would appreciate a response also please!

Clearer distinction between flavours of the Veggie sausage.

Like - Richmond Vegetarian (frozen) sausage. I prefer them to the fresh version.
Dislike - split bags at back seam. I see it quite often but Richmond say there is not a problem with that??
Dislike - lack of CLEAR distinction on the packet between the original veggie version, the caramelised onion ones and the sweetcorn, carrot and broccoli version. The latter is new to me and contains veg that I love, but I thought I had purchased the original, plain ones.

Processed rubbish.

The company will not improve. They have no interest in doing so whilst people (mysteriously) keep buying their products. They do not charge a ‘premium’ price - they are dirt cheap which probably explains it. Waitrose banned them years ago due to quality and ethical concerns.

MINIMUM 42% PORK REQUIRED TO CALL IT A SAUSAGE

The UK law for calling a product a Pork Sausage is a minimum 42% pork content. Richmonds have the very minimum of 42% pork in Yet charge a premium price, most supermarket own have way more than this for cheaper price, even some of the budget ones. They also are very mushy when cooked and taste of very little, which is the fillers used and have an artificial brown texture on the casing when cooked, yet they claim they are the nations favourite!. Either the nation has not tried another sausage or someone is telling Porkies.

Where's the meat (42%)

Got these as a substitute for 88% meat Cumberland sausages in a recent home delivery. My cats food has more than 42% meat. I wouldn't feed them to the cat and I def won't be eating them.
I believe 42% is the absolute minimum requirement to call something a Sausage.
I have another word for it, but I can't post it here.
Congratulations on meeting the bare minimum where even cat food is preferable to your product.

Absolutely horrible and not fit for sale/consumption!.

Made this purchase based upon the brand. And I would advise the company to remove this product from the market. When cooked the sausages look raw and take on a dehydrated cardboard texture.

I have seen other reviews here where dog owners dogs, have spat them out and refuse to eat them. This product is a 'fail' for the brand and they need to be removed from the market and public consumption!.

(The '1 star' given was just to gain access to leave a review - 'Trustpilot should give a '0' option).

When cooking you are struck with the overwhelming stench of poverty. when air fried they have a worring grey tinge to them. taste wise I imagine this is what shame would taste like if shame had a taste overall a low point in my life.

After reading the reviews I thought I…

After reading the reviews I thought I would buy them for the dog, as we certainly wouldn't eat sausages with 42% meat. Cut up the first one and put on top of his dried food. When he finished eating, the dried food was gone and the sausages remained. I tried to coax him into eating them but he wouldn't. He's not a fussy eater which leads me to believe these things should be banned for all consumption.

New Recipe ruined everything

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Richmond bring back the old recipe for your thin skinless sausages, after being the only sausages I have ever been able to eat I am now left with nothing.
I can't eat the new recipe, the texture is awful, if feels raw in the middle no matter what method I try, I even cut them in half but its like the filling just won't firm up, it's too mushy and the new texture makes me hurl.
I miss a toasted sausage sandwich but I can't try others because of gristle, Richmond didn't have any of that either. Please go back to the last recipe, I miss our 16 pack!
