Great products, Great delivery

Love the location of this fish and chip bar, Fistral Newquay , BUT I will never spend my hard earned cash here again!! My food should have cost £28 but I was charged over £32, when i questioned this I was told it was probably a service charge ?? Never saw that mentioned! Ok that aside the food was the worst fish n chips I have ever had, the chops both portions were as if they had been reheated but gone cold again, total Rip off! Premium price for inedible product! Rick you should hang your head in shame and let Gordon Ramsey from Hells Kitchen come and sort it out for you

Purchased olives from the deli and they were delicious. But later came back for the fish and chips restaurant and I can say only mediocre. Given the reputation, I really should have given it 1 star. Ordered the forgotten fish and it came with 2 fillets not more than 75g total. The hostess had the chef cook one more fillet which compensated. Only positive thing was I didn’t feel we paid an exorbitant price for poor quality meal. Did t come with any sides, odd given this was supposed to be “the” Cornish experience. Think Rick has taken his eye off the quality as the empire grows.

Rick stein fishmongers padstow is the pits.
Hardly any fish and what there waa is farmed so i was told.
Purchase crab meat and had to throw it away same day as off! Prawns were awful!
Absolutley disgusting! You should be ashamed! Total rip off!

Well packaged, maybe too much packaging. The hake wonderful, the monkfish surprisingly thin small slithers

Prompt and no fuss ordering and delivery.

We went to Rick Steins Sandbanks restaurant for lunch today. Wow what a fantastic experience it was too. Right from the greeting at the front door to the moment we left, the front of house staff were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
We started with the sour dough and smoked anchovies - wow wee both were out of this world.
The we then had a double election of all four choices of oysters - they were just amazing BUT I do expect when eating oysters (because I also do then myself) that the oysters should be shucked properly by slicing the oyster (adductor muscle) off the shell so that the customer does not have to do this, but unfortunately NONE of these were done which meant a lot of the liquor was lost in the process.
Starter were Fish Soup - OMG best I've ever had in my whole life, and for my Wife the Raw Salmon - which she absolutely loved. We then both had the lobster Thermidor which was truly delicious and very decadent and rich - amazing. Both had the thin cut fries which again were perfect BUT HEY COME ON…. Chefs Larder (Bookers) cafe tomato ketchup???? Really???? I expected Heinz at a minimum or Stokes even but cheap cafe ketchup??? Your restaurant is so much better than this.
We had lovely drinks including Prosecco and Chablis to accompany the fantastic food.
Would I go again? Yes absolutely but I’ll be smuggling in a bottle of Stokes in the inside pocket of my jacket and will have a word with the Chef to ask if he needs a lesson in oyster shucking before I order.
The view out the window over the bay was to die for.
Can only give a 9/10 sorry, but could so easily have been a 10 if only the 2 slight issues above were addressed.
At these prices I do expect the best. Very nearly was.

Wow, what an experience. Karen was amazing who served us the nicest food ever which Adam and his team cooked. The Lobster Thermidor was lush! The bread with mussels was even better, we even got a loaf to take home. The ambiance and view over the water was stunning. Overall, a fantastic evening. If I could eat more I would still be there. Thanks guys for your hospitality. Ian & Lina x

We have had lobsters from you before ,and although they are expensive , they are probably good value for money since they can always be relied upon to be of first quality . This was for a birthday celebration ( I was 89! )and it brought a smile to both our faces and reinforced our trust in the quality of your food ( and you gave us free postage ) Thank you .

Beautiful fish, well packed and arrived well chilled.

Parcel arrived on time, well packaged, great wine and delicious selection of fish.

I only ordered my items on the Sunday so didn't expect them to come in time for my daughter in laws birthday but it arrived on the Wed the day before her birthday it was well packed to protect it and oh my!! She was so made up with it I bought a fish platter and a bowl absolutely stunning so happy with the quick delivery and ease of ordering thankyou for making her day special

All good with the exception of the crab shell that had broken.
The rest of the service etc was excellent.
