Painless claims

Painless claims. I was rear ended at a stop light trashing my brand new bike. A couple days later, my father died. Rider without knowing, made my life so much easier. All I had to do was inform them of the accident and they took care of everything else. They sent someone to pick up the bike and few weeks later I got another call that it was ready to be picked up. Thank you for making one of the worse times in my life so much less stress than it could have been.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the delay in responding to it. It does not typically take that long to get your documents. Your renewal will include your insurance card, so this should not be an issue going forward either. Please let us know if you have any further issues.

I've been in two (2) accidents

I've been in two (2) accidents. On the first I was rear ended and Rider worked with the other drivers insurance to ensure my bike was returned to it's original condition. Second, a dog ran into my front wheel and while I was laid up in the hospital and at home they handled everything including a solid settlement that covered all my accessories.

Thought it was a less expensive option

Thought it was a less expensive option. Turns out it's only by a few bucks. The system for payments is outdated and they don't send out reminders or bills for that matter to tell you a payment is due. When you get a cancelation notice is when your reminder is given. When you renew your policy it wilmstate that you got 150+ in discounts but when you see your deceleration page it's no where to be found so it's safe to say your not getting any discounts. Not sure why I renewed with them but I will be shopping around "again". Oh and the outdated means you either call in during business hours or break out a computer to pay your bill. Not your smart device "a computer".

We appreciate you sharing your feedback. We are in the process of updating our customer portal which will be much more user friendly and responsive to mobile devices. In regards to payment reminders, your invoice is usually received a week to 10 days before the payment is due. We give you a grace period of 10 days before your policy goes into cancellation status for non-payment. Then you have 21 days to make the payment before the policy is cancelled. The cancellation notice reminds you the payment is late and then we call and /or email you if your cancellation date is approaching and we still haven't received payment. We do have an option to set up recurring automatic payments and you will never have to worry about missing another payment. We reviewed your policy and you are receiving our preferred operator discount. We list the total savings under the discount section, but it is already reflected in the amounts shown on your declaration page coverages. We apologize if that was not clear. Thank you for choosing Rider and we hope you decide to stay with us.

Trust built on experience

I ride a Can Am Spyder RT Limited, have had no accidents or claims filed, but feel confident that I would receive excellent service. My opinion and trust in Rider Insurance Co. is based on very fine treatment many years ago when my 2-wheel touring bike slipped on gravel in a very twisty curve on a rural country road and went off the mountainside. Fortunately I bailed at the top and was not injured, but bike was totaled and fully covered and replaced by Rider Insurance with no increase in annual premiums!

Insurance OK logo motorcycle not OK

I like rider insurance because it's inexpensive but don't know what would happen if I really got into an accident and needed total support haven't needed it yet thank God, but one of the things I think need to be changed for sure is the motorcycle in their logo it's a horrible bike you should put a real bike an American bike for an American insurance company first of all, that's a little wimpy motorcycle definitely get that bike off of there
