Said but my cards don't work and by a miracle suddenly works.Since heard later and looked at other reviews this is normal procedure for these scammed.i have received a refund from my credit card company.

With no alternative and children with me I had to proceed. 6 weeks later I have still not got my deposit of €1000 returned and I have not had any response from any emails I send. Avoid Right Cars Dalaman – Scam Alert
Booked a car in advance through Economy Bookings, paid upfront incl. full insurance. On arrival we were told we had to leave a €900 card deposit. Our card works globally, but the terminal “failed” several times. Our bank confirmed no payment attempts were made. We even tested the card at a nearby shop – it worked! The agent refused to give us the car unless we paid for extra insurance in cash (£220!). At 6am, exhausted, we had no choice.
They even have a policy of giving you the car with an empty fuel tank, and you’re expected to return it empty as well – absolutely ridiculous!
Reading reviews later, we discovered others had the exact same experience – clearly a systematic scam to force unnecessary payments. This is unacceptable. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be extorted on arrival.
Appalling in every way; do not touch them!
Appalling; no one from right cars met my family of two young sons and wife on our arrival at Dalaman airport, and no answer to my numerous phone calls. My young family were traumatised by the experience. I had to get a taxi to my hotel. No answer to my numerous phone calls to right cars the next day. Eventually the Turkish hotel owner got through and the (quite hard to believe) excuse that" they had an accident on in the way to the airport was the reason and that "they now had no car to rent to us". I am still bewildered as to why they did. It answer my 20+ phone calls to see where they were.
A shambles from start to finish! So let down by them. Stay WELL clear.

I beleive that it is a scam company.
1st, it was supposed to be meet and greet, but no body was on the airport to meet and greet us.
After 20 miute of waiting and after calling them they came to pick us up.
They pretended that they wanted to charge the card to cover the excess, they told me that the card company didn't authorise the payment, which was a lie, I contacted the Barclayscard, they informed by them that the atttempt of charging the card never happened.
Basically they wanted me to pay € 300 for the 5 days to have a full protection, which is 10 times more than the online charge.
Eventually they cancelled my booking and I had to look for a transportation from the airport to the hotel, which was a very stressful last minute arrangement.
I gave them one star, because there is no zero score, for me I would put minus 10 stars.
Avoid them or you will regret.

They are scammers; they take a deposit higher than the one agreed upon at the time of the reservation, and although I gave the car back in perfect condition, the only reason I saw my money back was that HSBC reversed the payment. Avoid them at all costs; they are criminals!

From the outset the reception tried to bully us into buying their insurance, their approach was intimidating and after half an hour had my wife in tears. We were subjected to a theatrical examination of their car, in the dark, noting almost non existent defects against the threat of paying for all of any repairs. (The car was later returned by us in perfect condition) We paid a £440 deposit for the vehicle and are still waiting for it to be returned four months later. We have had to lodge a dispute with HSBC who are now handling this.
Highwaymen. DON’T use them.

Usual story though a hollow victory.
Usual story, credit card was charged for the insurance rather than a hold placed & no intention of refunding it.
It all started when we arrived at midnight to collect the car from a dimly lit section of the car park.
We met with Mehmet, who I believe to be a manager of sort. He explained that it's a 900 euro deposit if we don't take their insurance, only he debits the card and not just place a hold.
I was immediately suspicious, but thought my wife thought I was being a knob and so reluctantly agreed to it against my better judgement. Mehmet was quite rude and abrupt, another red flag.
We walked around the dark grey car, with Mehmet pointing out the damage and my wife filming. He gave us a damage cost sheet, €300 a scratch, the costs were insane.
We set off to the hotel, 2hrs, when we got there I researched the company and found this thread, so I instantly knew I'd fked up.
I called the WhatsApp number at 2am, but the woman would only talk to me in Turkish. She said she'd message me but didn't.
Couldn't settle, so the next day we agreed to return the car, the less time we have it, the less likelihood of damage being able to be attributed to us, we agreed with Mehmet to bring it back and we did.
His colleague met us, inspected the car and found a pretty deep scratch on the rear right corner, it wasn't on our video, we aren't sure how, panic set in.
I managed to find the scratch looking at the video frame by frame, only at a particular angle, once we managed to prove it, they offered us a refund of our €900 if we took it the €160 extra insurance, minimising the loss.
The colleague couldn't process the refund, and blamed it on no money being in the account, and promised us they'd process it the next day (Monday)
I told them that I'm not paying €160 extra without the refund and Mehmet turned up.
He tried to process the refund and then blamed it on it being Sunday and over €1000 (which it wasn't, and I kindly pointed this out, that they're talking wet)
Mehmet, for some reason, agreed to give me it in writing, that they'd process they refund on the Monday and then take payment for the additional insurance, and if not, they relinquish all rights to the cash.
They did not refund the money & so I lodged it with my card provider.
We continued the holiday, with the expectation that we'd have to battle it out with mastercard.
On the Friday, out of the blue, we received a WhatsApp from Mehmet with a copy of the refund receipt. We were skeptical.
On the Sunday, we returned the car, and met with Mehmet who wanted to take the additional insurance payment.
I declined, pointing out that he not met the terms of our deal, the holiday/agreement was now over and that the refund hadn't cleared, due to his delays and so I can't be sure I have the money.
He threatened me with the police to which I invited him to call them, he didn't.
Couldn't really be arsed arguing with the muppet any further, so we took our bags and left.
Realised we had no proof of the condition of the car, we waited a few minutes, returned back and filmed it.
Not really sure how we got away with it without losing a penny, but it ruining
the holiday, so it's a hollow victory.

Right Cars Dalaman Scam do not refund Deposit
Terrible experience from point of arrival. Wrong information given - expecting to be met upon arrival as per instructions no one there. Took over 1 hour to get hold of someone from the company then expected to wait in heat for a further hour until someone came to deal with us. By now over 2 hours waiting. Then was asked to pay a large deposit 900 euros even though I had already paid for insurance. Felt like I was being held to ransom. I complained to HolidayCars immediatedly providing all paperwork via whom I had booked they have not responded despite multiple emails. Right Cars went on to ask for more money when I asked if I could drop the car off 2 hours earlier. As per many people's experience I am still waiting for my refund of 900 euros. Have rang Right Cars and messaged multiple times no response. No answer from HolidayCars either who continue to use this company despite so many people's terrible experiences. Have now had to go via the bank to raise a credit card dispute.

Very disappointing experience and lack of customer service:
We returned a rental car without any damage to Dalaman Airport on July 30, 2023. To our surprise, we have still not received the deposit back. They are barely reachable by phone, and emails are completely ignored.
After many attempts, we finally got someone on the phone who told us that we had to wait 45 days for the refund. This period has long passed. Additionally, the employee was extremely rude and disrespectful to us as customers. When we expressed our frustration, we were simply told to take the matter to court if we were unhappy.
This is absolutely no way to treat customers. We are very disappointed and strongly advise others not to do business with this company. We hope that this complaint is taken seriously and that action is taken promptly to return our deposit.

APPALLINGLY BAD Company. In my opinion, Right Cars Dalaman are COWBOYS AND COMPLETE SCAMMERS and should be AVOIDED at all costs. Once they take your money you are on your own.
We booked through Stress free car hire. The instructions on the booking information were that someone would meet us outside on arrival and take us to their office. NO ONE. After nearly one hour of walking around in the heat and asking people we finally found them at a desk in the car park in the dark! They were rude and dismissive. I then had to endure a hard sell on their insurance, despite buying full insurance from Stress Car Hire online. Apparently, according to Right Cars, the insurance that was sold to us wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Basically, if we didn't agree to pay an additional 200 euros to Right Cars then they would cause us problems when it came to returning our deposit. It's my opinion that RIGHT CARS DALAMAN are SCAMMERS. They also took an additional £215 deposit in local currency above the 650 euros we had agreed to. We contacted STRESS Rentals the next day when it became apparent from the receipt that we had been overcharged. We supplied them with copies of the agreement, receipts etc. Apart from copy and paste responses saying that they are looking into this they have not responded. We returned the car three weeks ago, and as threatened, they have kept the full deposit amount. We are now over £760 out of pocket. We informed STRESSED OUT car hire, but they won't respond. My advice is - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID both STRESSED OUT and RIGHT CARS Dalaman. COMPLETE SHARKS!!!
This is fraud agency
This is fraud agency, do not book ever! They are the same as Right Cars. I rented a convertible Renault Megane CC directly from the web site. They said it was mistake , they never had this car, and gave me Pegeout SUV instead. In 2 days, they asked to change this car and brought be old fiat , broken and scratched from all sides!!
Avoid the Dalaman office at all costs
I echo lots of the other reviews on here. We rented a car from Rights Cars at Dalaman Airport on 24th May and are still waiting for our deposit back. The UK office sometimes responds but always says they can't get hold of the local office. They are very high pressure when you get there, and the area where you pick up the car is very dark so be careful to check for scratches. The car we rented had scratches all over it, which were marked on the checkout report, but they still claimed we had made one when we handed it back. They also claimed that standard practice is for them not to return deposits until 21 days after the car hire return - despite this not being on the T&C, and we are long past this now also. Please avoid and don't book with them in Turkey, as the local office are scammers! I have resorted to starting a credit card complaint about them now, plus complaining to Easyjet as they are who suggested them in the first place when we booked our flights.

Rental voucher stated deposit £557, to be returned by 21 work days, Fuel full to full.
I was rudely pressured by Mehmet to purchase extra insurance. Charged 900 euros for deposit and fuel tank was empty. All this has taken place in car park at night, under a street lamp on a rickety table.
I VIDEO RECORDED THE CAR ON COLLECTION. You must do this to fight your case later.
On Return to Dalaman Airport, they checked the car over, all good, no scratch or damage. But they found a scratch on wing mirror casing that they hadn’t marked for it already being there on collection. they couldn’t prove it was not scratched either, before giving it to me (said their video didn’t show this part) Just because they didn’t mark it in the form, it must not have been there on collection, this was their excuse. Told me I was to lose my deposit! Luckily the video I recorded on collection showed the exact scratch already being present on the wing mirror, they reluctantly marked my list as all clear.
Then,they still wouldn’t return my deposit of 900 euros. No answer to my calls, messages, e mails.
I was in touch with Trip.com, filled in a bank form opposing to this transaction. Contacted Right Cars’ international head quarters. After 38 working days my deposit was returned, in Turkish liras.
I like to thank Monika, Hannah and Alex in Trip.com for helping me get my deposit back and keeping me informed at all stages. Thank you guys.
I hope trip.com are no longer using these scammers of rating 4/10. with hundreds of complaints and many deposits not being returned according to comments.

Very bad service!!! Stay away from this company! We have rented from Right Cars at the end of May!!! First of all nobody met as at the airport, even though it’s meet and greet!!so we walked with my kids and luggage to their office !!! Secondly I am still awaiting for my deposit which has been taken from my credit car on the day of rental, ignoring my messages and emails. So I has to complain to my bank for a refund. VERY BAD!!! Stay away!!!

The guy was rude and helpful picked car up in unlit spot at airport many dents scratches, we knew something was not quite right but had already prepaid!
Returned car guy went straight underneath and said there was a scratch which we had definitely hadn’t done, they have used this before to not refund deposit.
I have worked in travel industry 35years and hired cars all over the world 100% scammers.
Now having to go through credit card company to get deposit back. Booking agent and right cars don’t want to know and allowing this to happen.

Do not use Right Cars
I rented a car from Right Cars through a company in the US called Enjoy Travel. Enjoy Travel told me that I would need to make a deposit with a credit card upon picking up the car. I made the deposit on April 19, 2024. It was $1,341.47. I returned the car on May 2, 2024. I was told that my deposit would be returned within 3 weeks. Even though I have been messaging both Enjoy Travel and Right Cars I have not yet received my deposit. It has been seven weeks.
