I enjoyed my white water rafting trip. I appreciated the company trying to make the trip happen. I was quite surprised that there were some powerfully rapids on an otherwise calm river, which made the trip more exciting. I also loved the meal Virginia prepared for us! Had I known, I’d have tried to stay there overnight.

I did communicate to the company that a few things could be improved. There was an issue with the duration of the drive there, which was twice the time cited. More importantly, more needs to be done to prepare participants for rafting in terms of instructions and safety measures. I am glad that the company is open to making these changes.

The team at Rio adventures was excellent to work with! They were so helpful and accommodating. They really went out of their way to ensure our group had the best time!

With my family (6 people) we did different tours with Rio Adventures (Petropolis, Buzios, Rio Day Tour and Helicopter Ride). Everything was great. All our guides spoke Spanish and were very knowledgeable and accommodating. We learned a lot about the places we visited and had a great time. Brasil is highly organized around protecting tour companies and usually in attractions, tours go via different routes that are often shorter and faster. I highly recommend going on tours when in the city and using Rio Adventures. They picked us up at the hotel (Located in Barra) on time for every tour and made sure the vehicles we used where safe and up to standard. They were also very responsive and respectful when organizing everything on WA and allowed us to pay the reservation via PayPal and the rest, in person, using Reales. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire this tour company again when I am back in Rio.

I would offer Rioadventures 4.5 stars. The overall experience was very good. Initially, when we were planning the day, we started with one activity and then added another one and then a third one. Each of these discussions was handled professionally by Rick as we went through the timing, space, and what would happen there. There was very direct and open dialogue and clearly Rick was very well informed on the attractions and also had the ability to quote changes quickly and the pros and cons of doing stuff. He asked relevant questions to avoid misunderstandings. All done through WhatsApp. Gui, the guide, and the driver were great and flexible to change if needed and it was. The trail in Tijuca forest was blocked by a recent landslide and we had to reroute and the Paragliding was very dependent on wind conditions so fixed timing was not applicable. We think we got very good value with the whole private, personalized package that started at 8 am and ended at 11 pm. Long day but overall Rioadventures delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Have a clear and direct conversation and everything will be clearly put on the table.
