I was in total disbelief when I finally received my package. Let me tell you the whole story. 1st red flag that I ignored my card tried to warn me charge wouldn’t complete & a message pops up stating this could possibly be a scam. But their video looked so fantastic & the miniature V8 gasoline engine was so cool showed it starting & running I had to have it . Finally charge went through . 2nd red flag total bill was $20 more than it should be. I emailed them right away & they responded within a few minutes. Said it was for special handling & packaging charges. I was impressed how quickly they responded & they sounded & acted very professional the way they handled it. I said ok no problem I wanted that engine diy kit. It all went down hill from there. They said it would ship in a few days , 2 weeks, 3,4,5seeks go buy , now I’m thinking total scam about to call my bank next day I recieve a box had some guys name on it & came from Colorado I believe , nothing takes longer than two weeks to be shipped from one of the upper 48 states to another state. Oh well I was excited it finally arrived. I could smell slight odor of gasoline when I opened the box . Thinking yes maybe they test ran it I open the box pull out 1 item & it is a 3d printed plastic model engine it’s all 1 piece no moving parts and the pulleys & gears that where all machined aluminum on the website were same color as the engine but they had a 5 yr old paint them silver with a brush.i could not believe it they such scum bags they even spray gasoline in the plastic it was packed it. No I’m trying to get my money back less shipping less special handling . They requested photos I sent them now they say they sent me exactly what I ordered . That would be like them showing a couple all dressed up enjoying a nice steak & lobster dinner. Caviar appetizer, etc . You & your wife get all dressed up go to the same restaurant & tell the waiter we want the same items the couple is enjoying in your tv commercial .
Your order comes it’s a bowl of rice & a can of beans still in the can. Don’t know how they can sleep at night or live with themselves they might as well just rob people coz that’s what they’re doing. If they don’t refund my money I will see what my bank suggests or maybe they can reverse the charges. They deserve a -5 review people like that need to be nuked.

I ordered a pair of their glare glasses. They did not take into account the discount I was to get. They identified a problem with their system. They over charged me. I was in contact with them regarding a refund. We agreed on the refund of $30.00. I got my glasses and they are a joke and were not what they said they were. I never received my refund we agreed upon. I have contacted them numerous times with no one contacting me back. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. One star is way too many. My experience is the same as everyone else's. All I received was a plastic piece of crap and was told by the company I misunderstood what I was ordering. Will call PayPal and cc company and see if I can get my money back.

I ordered the Cison engine as a gift for my nephew. It was never received. They say it was delivered to my mailbox. I created a complaint through Paypal which is who I payed thru. Paypal rejected my claim because Rivashopus said it was delivered. The company has not provided anything to me to verify that it was shipped or delivered.

A model engine that did not arrive as advertised. Luckily, I was able to get a refund from PayPal. No metal parts or a kit. Just a peice of warped plastic that smelt really weird.

This company is a complete scam.

I ordered what was advertised as a “Gasoline OHV V8 Small-Block Engine Model Kit” shown in social media ads and on the product page as a metal model kit with multiple parts and assembly detail. After over a month of delays, broken order and tracking links, and no legitimate tracking number, the item finally arrived.

What I received was a single-piece cheap plastic object that looks molded or 3D-printed and painted. It is not a kit, not metal, not functional, and not remotely what was advertised. This is a classic bait-and-switch / substitute item.

More red flags:

No real tracking ever provided through PayPal
Order and support links repeatedly broken
Support email uses a sketchy domain tied to other reported scam storefronts

After researching further, I found many independent complaints describing the exact same experience: customers ordering metal engine kits and receiving cheap plastic substitutes instead.

Do not trust the ads. Do not trust this seller. Save your money.

Same thing as everyone else on here.. I ordered the "Cison" V8 mini engine kit, had to dispute the charges. I ordered it on Dec 15th and once I was sent the worthless tracking information, I knew I effed up and tried to reach out via email. They ensured me that everything was fine and it could take 15-25 days for me to receive the item. I replied, I would just like my order canceled (as you can't cancel it once you purchase the item on the actual site) but then they ghosted me. That's when I called PayPal and they refunded me my money. I am supposed to get the item on Tues, I will update what was in the box... I'm guessing I will be very disappointed..

I finally got my blue painted P.O.S!! Not a real engine, like the others, a plastic or some sort of epoxy, poorly painted piece of crap.. facebook should be held accountable as well, for pushing these scams on unsuspecting victims!

Ordered a real mini working engine, recieved a badly molded, one piece, wavy, engine figure. Size of my hand. A 100% scam. Ordered it 14 Dec 2025, from an add through FB, and paid with PayPal. Received fake item today 5Jan2026. Do NOT buy from this company!!

RIVASHOPUS is associated with an online scam procedure that had me in their clutches. The entire scheme was based on their advertising a V-8 engine kit that actually worked. It was a Bait-And-Switch scheme that I had no recourse to get my money back. The company is associated with another known criminal enterprise, Keathers Fottyes, who, together with RIVASHOP are using the US Mails to defraud customers of money. These people have been reported to the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau and to the United States Postal Inspector Service for perpetrating crimes using the US Mail. STAY FAR AWAY!

Ordered a 1/8 replica V8 engine and received some form rubber seat gap fillers.

Please do not trust this company; it is based in Hong Kong, China. I ordered a product before checking it out, but later found out from reviews that they are a suspicious company. The info says they are in the US, Wyoming, but they charge a foreign country fee. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and am waiting for a result. Too bad, they will probably use my information against me somehow.

This company is a complete scam and rip off! Avoid at all costs!! They advertise a working model to assemble of a V8 engine...What we received was a plastic? molded NON FUNCTIONAL piece of CRAP to be blunt...If we could locate this scam company, we would DEMAND a full reimbursement
