October 2nd Namur Cleanup, ISB
The Cleanup was a fun experience, even disregarding that I was there with my friends. That said, I suppose one of the biggest strengths of the River Cleanups is how easy it is to bring along your friends. The time went by fairly quickly, and I felt fulfilled, and just the right amount of tired by the end. If I had to pick a criticism, it's that the river cleanup did not involve cleaning the river all that much. Rather, we cleaned the sidewalk and roads around the river, never really taking anything out from the river itself.

This was a great positive collective experience. It is giving hope that organization like yours exist, showing the example.
What could be useful, would be to clean borders of Belgian highways: super polluted.
Blue plastic bags could maybe be saved by using less of it.
I am also wondering to what extent some trashes that were collected could not be given to "brocantes" like old glasses in a very good state.

Amazing organisation, amazing people, amazing experiences!
I've been on multiple cleanups with River Cleanup now (I've lost count) and it were all amazing experiences! I keep going back because it just makes me happy. The atmosphere is always sooo good, the people are super friendly (the people who organise everything and all the people who join the cleanup), so I've always had a great time even when I came alone. I've had a lot of fun and made friends while doing something good for the planet, can it get any better than that? I would recommend everyone to join a cleanup or even organise one yourself with the help of River Cleanup because you'll feel like your small action does make a difference.
