Abysmal customer service

Ordered black shoes on sale, received fluffy lilac slippers, contacted rivers and was told to send a pic of slippers, then send them back, get a refund, then reorder shoes which are now no longer on sale so pay full price and get another refund for the difference, what a joke, they made the mistake, but I have to go through all that rigmarole because they can't just send me what I ordered, never will I buy anything from them again

Criminal

THE ABSOLUTE WORST ONLINE SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ONLINE. If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered 2 items in April. One came within the week (third party) and the other item not at all. I am waiting on a jumper. ONE JUMPER. I have requested a tracking number months ago. No actual updates, just automated replies every few weeks. I called and requested a refund after 8 weeks of automated emails and I was promised an update in 24-48 hours and refund in a few days. That was over 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. I just want my money back. I don’t want them to keep scamming people. Someone needs to do something about this. It’s a crime.

This providers online service is pathetic, no answers to emails except computer generated replies, and up to three weeks from order date to delivery, not good enough in todays market place. Received orders for OS quicker

I do not think this deserves in a one…

I do not think this deserves in a one star, purchased good 25/03/2022 received all of the goods except on pair of shoes. gave it 3 weeks still no shoes, called every week since 9 weeks gone passed, still no shoes. I have asked for a refund every week and told so we will have them out to you checking with ware house. finally today some one said I can get a refund, will have to wait and see. People spoke over you and did not try to help. No compensation for having my money all this time. Will not buy online again from Rivers

They aren't totally bad but could be better.

They aren't totally bad but could be better. I received most of my previous order in two deliveries. Unfortunately one parcel had no packing slip so I don't know if they think I have all my order or if they are still in the process of sending the couple of items I'm missing. I also think I got conned a bit - I ordered some special items because the price was right but I didn't check my final order and these items cost me more than the website stated - so watch out for that!.
For NZ buyers - the specials prices on the NZ site are higher in most instances than they are on the Aussie site. My 1st order was on the Aussie site. My 2nd on the NZ one. Have recently re-ordered more from the Aussie site (yeah, not learnt anything from the past experiences lol) - will be interesting to see how that goes, problem free or not!. A lot of the specials are really not worth much more than the 'special' prices - I wouldn't have been happy to pay the full price they suggest things were priced at. Customer support aren't as helpful as they should be. I think they may have got too big for themselves.

Update: My order dated 21 June 2022 has mostly been delivered - just a $7 special Tee missing. Today's Date 12/7/2022. This was a NZ order made from the Aus online store. I would give 4.9 stars if I could.

Burnt Vacuum

I bought My Genie X5 H20 Pro Stick Vacuum with Mop. After 30mins using it, the roller got burn smell and stopped working all together. After 3 months they informed me that normal with the burnt smell without further assistance. The worst supplier and customer service

I cannot put in words how terrible of…

I cannot put in words how terrible of an online shopping experience this is.

I purchased over two months ago now and received absolutely nothing - No items, no clothing, no contact, NOTHING! I have requested a refund however will likely wait another few weeks/ months.

as previosly stated by all (disgruntled/angry) "customers", I must add that with our on line experiences I would have to agree with nearly everyone including the covid excuse
tried several times with different orders and often prepaid ordered items never ever arrived, wrong unuseable, not ordered sandals once, many emails sent and in the end no replies
beats me how they're still able to be seen to operate on line

Very poor indeed

Very poor indeed. Made a purchase 1 month ago, Rivers took my money for the item and never sent me any order confirmation, email, etc and debited the payment! I had to follow up 2 weeks later. My enquiry took 2 weeks to be responded to and they never replied. I had to call them directly a week later to follow up and was advised my purchase was refunded 3 days ago. What a joke! Great communication - Not. Do not buy through these clowns

Should have known better.

Should have known better. My boots finally turned up after a click and collect failure to deliver. Nice boots except the zips are firmly stuck. No amount of encouragement will allow them to move. I can't ever get a big toe in let alone wear them.
Customer service want me to send videos to prove. I don't have that technology nor will I ever. Instead of just allowing me to swap.
Should have known better. The stupid things are made in China. Disgusted. DONT SHOP HERE AND SAVE YOUR $$$ FOR SOMETHING BETTER NOTMADE IN CHINA

My first order with Rivers online was…

My first order with Rivers online was incomplete but the item eventually turned up after a ticket was issued. I should have known better (and also read the reviews) before placing another order. After three months, the order is still incomplete and their emails responding to my request for investigation have stopped. AVOID this company.

Not to be trusted

Ordered shirts on March 12 which have not been delivered. Despite emails requesting order to be cancelled and refund provided, there has been no response and no action. Finding it hard to believe that a company that acts in this way can be allowed to continue to trade.

Giant rip off

No delivery, no emails, no contact, no responses. The worst company on the planet. They are THIEVES. It's a rort. Everyone who hasn't received orders, do a charge back on your credit cards. Call your bank now!!! Call news reporters, call the radio, tell everyone. Let's send this useless company down the toilet where it belongs.

I wouldn't give any star at all if I could. There is no improvement. Ordered an item and it took 2-3 weeks before it arrived. Customer Service representatives are hopeless. Never again will I order anything from this company.

Disgusting Service

Ordered an item in Sept 2021. Took until April 2022 to be advised I won't get it & a refund will be processed. To date no refund. Was advised it's PayPal fault, wasted time chasing PayPal. I then receive an email stating that it hadn't been processed & needed my PayPal email address. That was on 5th May, no response, no refund. Rivers as a company is a disgrace. Used to shop there regularly, never again.

Placed an order on 3/02/2022 still waiting for delivery

Placed an order on 3/02/2022. Waited, then waited, then waited some more for delivery. Still waiting at the end of May. Contacted Rivers several times through the customer service website portal and each time was issued a new service ticket yet no response except for auto-generated email replies to advise Rivers were busy but they would be in contact soon. Never happened. So I called the customer service line in April and was told that Rivers had tried to deliver but were unable. Thats a lie as it was an Australia Post Parcel Locker. Was asked for an alternate delivery address and provided one. A month later I am still waiting. Next step is to ask for a refund and never deal with this company ever again.

Hi I shopped at Rivers Broadmeadows…

Hi I shopped at Rivers Broadmeadows today at about 2 PM served by s Lisa-Marie. I told her I was a member of the Rivers Loyalty Programme, she asked me for my family name, I thought she has found my account and would credit the points. When I got home and checked the docket there was no points credited to my account but it says join the programme to get loyalty points.
This is absurd, please credit my loyalty points.

Totally disgusting

Totally disgusting, product was never correct faulty order size 9 and even a size 3 would not be able to fit opening, order number is 2020175884, asked for a refund zero customer communication or care, product was returned by Australia Post through the zero functioning Parcel point tracking ID PHDJVPF8, this started over 2 months ago, even the rivers emails given have a zero connect error, this total company is a sham

Very unhappy customer

I ordered 3 weeks ago still waiting for the goods. Have sent 5 messages requesting they cancel my order & refund also spoke to their so called customer service & told them the same thing. Impossible to get any action from them. Will never order from them again.

Very disappointing

Oh my….looks like I’m not the only dissatisfied customer, wish I’d read reviews prior to my online purchase, which I have still not received.
Contacted them via email but just keep receiving automated and meaningless emails and contact via phone is impossible.
I’m just amazed that their service is so poor. I’m a first time customer of Rivers and just assumed (wrongly), that they were reputable.
Delivery looks unlikely to happen so I suppose a battle for return of funds is set to commence.
Very disappointing……
Be mindful of purchasing from them online,
