Not Peaceful, Poorly Equipped, and Overpriced
We booked this property because it was advertised as a peaceful riverside retreat. The reality was constant traffic noise from the nearby A48. In warm weather, with no air conditioning in the bedrooms, you have no choice but to leave the windows open — which means the noise is even worse at night.
The property itself has several disappointing features: low ceilings in parts make it uncomfortable for taller guests, and there’s no tumble dryer provided despite the property being advertised to host large groups. Drying clothes and towels became a real hassle, especially when the weather wasn’t great.
The riverside setting looks beautiful in the marketing photos, but the actual experience falls far short. The combination of constant noise, lack of key facilities, and layout issues made this stay poor value for money. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a genuinely peaceful and well‑equipped holiday home.
