We had the pleasure of staying in The Barn last weekend. We appreciated a warm and friendly welcome from Stephen who couldn’t have more accommodating. The cottage was warm, very comfortable & provided the perfect accommodation for our group of wedding guests.
The gardens and riverside area provided a gorgeous backdrop for our stay.
We’d be thrilled to stay again.

We had an absolutely perfect holiday staying in the Barn at Oldford Farm. As three families with five under-10s between us, it could not have been a better setting. Stephen was an incredible host, so welcoming and so helpful and the property and surroundings were beautiful. Stephen even went out of his way to return an item to me that I had left behind. Can’t recommend enough and we’ll be going back!

We had an amazing time staying in the beautiful Barn, Oldford Farm. The cottage is delightfully furnished and spacious . Everything was so clean and fresh . The grounds are amazing and the care provided by our hosts, Maria and Stephen was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely day in quaint Frome despite the showers . We also had a great day in Bath where we feel we could have stayed for longer.
There are plenty of places for eating out nearby. Can’t recommend Riverside cottages enough .

We booked the barn as a family of ten and it was better than we could have ever imagined. The grounds around the cottages are just unbelievable. It is so peaceful for walks and the kids absolutely loved all the space. It is evident that Stephen, Maria and Martin put in so much time and effort keeping the place to a five star standard. The accommodation itself is brilliant especially for larger families we had loads of room in it and several rooms that we could use to relax so kids could have there own time. The cottages are extremely clean and really well kitted out and decorated beautifully with everything and more you could ask for. Stephen was brilliant he could not have been more friendly and helpful he went above and beyond to make sure we had every thing and he helped us with his amazing knowledge of the surrounding areas and recommend so many lovely things for us to do. We will definitely be back 🥰

We have stayed at Riverside cottages many times now. The most recent, May this year. We had friends coming to stay with us from Norway so we wanted to impress. We booked the Parlour with complete confidence knowing it would be perfect for our party. Stephen Maria & Martin keep the cottages and the beautiful grounds immaculate and the icing on the cake is how welcoming and friendly they all are.

We had a wonderful stay in The Barn. Plenty of space, a beautiful building and plenty of parking. The owner Stephen was very welcoming and quick to reply to queries. Great location - just a short drive from Frome and there is a footpath all the way to walk it. Easy traveling distance to Bath too. Would highly recommend and would go again.

10 of us stayed in The Barn for the weekend - beautiful property in beautiful surroundings, and a stone's throw from Frome.

Stephen was marvellous at communicating in advance of our stay and was there to welcome us when we arrived. He was so accommodating, and helpful.

The property itself is lovely, with all amenities that you could need. It was spotless when we arrived (and hopefully not too bad when we left!).

I would thoroughly recommend this as a holiday let, both in terms of the accommodation and the location.

When searching for a family UK summer break (2 adults + 2 teenagers) we found the Hayloft at Riverside Cottages and so glad we did.

We initially spoke with Stephen on the phone and bombarded him with questions to which he offered my wife and I a WhatsApp video call to walk us around the property and give us a guided tour which was brilliant. He was informative, friendly and very accommodating taking an interest in our family requirements. We knew as a family that we had found the right place.

Stephen greeted us on our arrival and could not be more accommodating. He gave us open access to the farm, the field, the river and gave us a guided tour. We instantly felt at home.

We saw Stephen on a daily basis, working the farm and often stopping for a chat taking an interest in our day and telling us about the farm and his family. The resident cat 'Rupert', who my daughter fell in love with, always came to say hi too.

The Hayloft was spacious and a home away from home. We wanted for nothing. The WiFi was very good and allowed our children to catch-up on their social media and with friends.

The farm was beautiful, very picturesque and tranquil. The views from the balcony were lovely and at night we had amazing views of the sky and saw lots of shooting stars.

There are so many amazing restaurants nearby we never went hungry. As far as days out and activities we loved driving the country roads, driving through amazing towns and trying new things. (Bath, Bristol, Longleat Safar park, Cheddar Gorge, to name a few)

We would whole heartedly recommend staying at Riverside Cottages. Stephen was a great host, the farm was amazing and the local restaurants and attractions were in abundance.

We had a family holiday with our 19month old and stayed in the Hayloft at Riverside Cottages for a week.

At first we spoke to Stephen over the phone when enquiring about staying at the Farm, he was very informative and sent all the details we needed to book via email

During our stay Stephen and Maria were extremely welcoming and always available should we need them, not that we did as the cottage was so well equipped with everything needed for our stay including a high chair and stair gate. (We were offered a cot, but had our own to bring).
The kitchen also has a toaster, kettle, microwave, hob, oven, fridge freezer and much more.

The hayloft is very spacious, clean and homely.

I loved getting up in the morning and looking out at the countryside view from our balcony, it's so quiet and peaceful.

Guests are welcome to walk through the farms fields and meet the sheep/ducks, which we did and our little one loved seeing them too.

We also tried the nearby Indian literally on the edge of the farm, which we can recommend.

Locally there is so much to do for little ones,we visited White Row Farm only a 5 minute drive away, for free little ones can use the play area and look at the animals.

We highly recommend staying at Riverside Cottages as both Stephen and Maria are very attentive hosts and the location is beautiful
