Buying a car can be stressful

Buying a car can be stressful, Darren Hill was a pleasure to work with and made the process work to facilitate my personal restrictions of transportation in enabling me to collect the car. Having viewed an MOT history online they corrected an advisory that had been recorded for the past few years, ensuring the vehicle delivered was in top condition.

I'm extremely happy with my experience from start to finish. The car itself is fantastic-exactly as described, in great condition, and drives perfectly. You can really tell that care and attention has gone into making sure everything was right before handing it over.

What made the experience even better was the level of customer service I received. From the moment I made my first enquiry, I was treated with honesty, patience, and genuine friendliness.
Nothing felt rushed or pressured, and all my questions were answered clearly and professionally.

The whole process was smooth and stress-free, which made a big difference. I felt valued as a customer throughout, and that kind of service is hard to come by these days. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable car and a great buying experience.

Excellent Company and staff

Darren was my salesperson. Lovely straightforward experience, no hard sell. All the staff were approachable and friendly. Very clean and tidy forecourt and sales area. I would highly recommend them when looking for a used vehicle.

Toyota GT86 Purchase

I recently bought a Toyota GT86 (£18,750.00) and unfortunately the experience did not match the assurances I was given during the sale. While the car itself is enjoyable, the accuracy of the information provided, and the standard of preparation were disappointing.
When viewing the car, the salesperson told me the vehicle had three years of Toyota service history followed by extensive self servicing by the previous owner. I was also told the car “Should have” a second key, only to find out after paying the deposit that it didn’t. A second key was eventually supplied at collection, which I appreciate, but this should have been made clear upfront.
Before purchase, I raised two specific issues: the non working TPMS (which had previously caused an MOT failure) and the lack of evidence for the major 5-year spark plug service. I was assured both would be completed before collection. Instead, I received a single sheet stating only an oil service had been done, with no proof of the major service. The TPMS light returned on my drive home, and I have since learned that a proper fix is around £1200. I emailed the dealership about this and have received no reply.
I was also told the car had no accident damage. After running my own CarVertical report, I found evidence of £3,000-£5,000 worth of previous damage, including work involving the front suspension. When I raised this, I was told it, “couldn’t have been serious,” but the dealership also had no knowledge or proof either way, which suggests they had not carried out proper background checks on the car before selling it.
After taking the car to Toyota for an inspection, they also identified that the drive belt is worn and needs attention, another issue that should have been picked up during preparation.
There were several smaller but frustrating issues as well:
• The windscreen wipers were worn.
• The interior had a strong wet dog smell that had been masked with an air freshener.
• The right hand fender indicator does not work and the bulb holder is rusted. This is an MOT failure item, yet I collected the car with a fresh 12 month MOT.
• The bumper alignment on that same side was corrected, but the faulty indicator was left unresolved.
• I was told the service manual was in the car, but instead found a Toyota MR2 manual and no GT86 documentation.
Individually these issues might seem minor, but together they reflect poor preparation and a lack of transparency. Although I appreciate the effort in providing the second key, the overall experience did not match the commitments made at the point of sale.

From our records we can see that you have been in communication with our sales team and your vehicle was due to be booked upon return from your holiday after 14th April. The TPMS fault was due to be rectified when the car came in to us. We can provide an invoice to clairify that the service, including the spark plug replacement was carried out.
We carry out HPI and Vchecks on our vehicles, which are both clear.
We are in the process locating a secondhand GT86 manual, which will hopefully be available when the vehicle comes to us in April.

Fantastic experience from start to finish

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Spoke with Darren about Audi TT for sale and explained the awful experience and service we had received at another garage only the day before. Darren put my mind at ease and explained the process and likely trade in figure for my vehicle. Immediately got a better feeling about them. We went yesterday to view the vehicle and purchased it. I even got a bouquet of flowers and bottle of fizz. All the staff were lovely and talked me through the entire process explaining everything fully and then Darren had one of the "younger lads" as he put it help me with all the technical stuff with the vehicle such as connecting bluetooth and the sat nav etc. Just a great experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend them.

First class service

I was an unusual customer.....

I was an unusual customer as I purchased a classic car as a second car/weekend toy. I didn't need to have the car quickly as it suited me that way. Henry was happy to oblige me in that. Henry and his staff kept in touch with me in the 5 weeks or so from initially viewing the car to collection.
