Aggressively tailgating on the motorway and undercutting not one, not two, but three lanes. Dangerous drivers! If their work is as poor as their driving, you'll want to avoid them. License plate 0021 RJB at 4pm on the M23 Northbound.

Experienced, friendly and quite simply, know what they are doing! This was a relief given we had already ended up paying for one botch job on our guttering. (Three small joined-up cottages of slightly different heights make the guttering more complicated.) We had also had two other companies assess the issues and make some crazy suggestions, including adding a new downpipe so water could spew over the pavement. (Their ideas also involved needing listing building consent.) RJ Bacon looked at it, made no promises but made very sensible suggestions and step one (one very long piece of a wider diameter aluminium black gutter - no joins at the front of the house - and a wider downpipe than the existing one as used on heritage buildings) -> has worked. Quality work which we have been happy to pay for given no more rain in doors! Have total confidence in them and any contractor they involve. Thank you RJ Bacon.

We spent a considerable amount of time searching for the right builder to take care of our kitchen extension project. It was following our daughter’s house extension completed by R J Construction that we realised the decision was relatively easy to make, because her build had been completed in a productive and straightforward manner and the end result was excellent.
Our own project was to extend an inadequately spaced kitchen for a growing family into the garden by 4m with a flat roof single-storey build, and to incorporate full height sliding patio doors on two sides to enable us to enjoy our garden more fully. This would involve landscaping the outside area of the new kitchen to include a 3m patio across the full width of the rear of the house, as well as replacing paths to the perimeter of the property and creating a new area to the front.
From the initial meeting with James and our architect, it was obvious that a sound and close working relationship with James was going to take place, and this gave us a tremendous amount of confidence to actually achieve the dream kitchen and extension that we had wanted and had planned for many years previously. He understood our vision and needs completely, and the quotation we received for the work was extremely competitive and included everything that we had wished for; large 2x1m Velux roof-light, four thermal Smart patio doors for the extension and replacement of French casement doors to the lounge and dining room, and porcelain paving to the large patio, side of house pathways, and paths up to the front door of the house. It was going to be a big job, but James took this in his stride and was not phased by anything that we had asked of him.
We are recently retired and were going to be living in the house during the whole build, and therefore only naturally, we were worried about the effect this would have to our normal daily life, considering we were going to lose a kitchen for 3-4 months and be in the middle of a building site with all the disruption, constant noise and deliveries of building materials. We had a general expectation of mayhem! But James and his excellent team of tradesman, including electricians, plumbers, roofers and plasterers went out of their way to work around us and engage us in every step of the journey, which involved making on-site decisions as the project progressed. There was a huge consideration for us living in the house and we always felt supported. James was extremely accommodating, and we very quickly struck up a very close working relationship with him and Wade. It was so reassuring that James was able to use his vast and extensive knowledge in the construction industry to ensure that excellent standards were maintained by all concerned throughout the project.
Consequently the build was smooth and seamless and we are absolutely delighted with the new extension. We had a clear vision of what we wanted the house to look like, and we are delighted with the outcome. Our remit was answered in full and it was achieved by collaborate thinking and execution. The company is trustworthy, diligent and professional in every respect.
We would not hesitate to highly recommend James and his partner Rob to anyone wishing to undertake a building project in the future, whether that is a new extension to their house, have landscaping done to their garden, or bring any other building project you may have in mind to a prefect conclusion.

We're over the moon with the work that RJ Construction team did for us - they have been saviours! they took on our project and helped rebuild our extension, due to a previous builder leaving us with a home we couldn’t live in.

This company are made up of thief's and scoundrels. They steal property and deny it until faced with video evidence showing very clearly that they steal goods because they cannot provide their own supplies for the work they pretend to do. They are hostile and rude to say the least, berating me after stealing my property and stating "They did not ask permission because they took the item early in the morning and did not want to wake me" no matter how you look at it they stole property!!!

Rob and his team removed a chimney stack for us including steelwork and all making good. The cost was very reasonable, started on time, the team worked really hard and even stayed very late on one day to make sure the job was finished on time. Rob and his team were very professional, polite and courteous at all times and a pleasure to have around the house. We couldn’t be happier with the service Rob and his team provided and would look to use RJ Construction in the future. Highly recommend.

Rob and Paul carried out a number of construction projects for us in recent months, all carried out to an excellent standard. Both were very pleasant to deal with and would highly recommend RJ Construction as an efficient and thoroughly trustworthy contractor to use.

After getting a few quotes we decided to get Rob and James to do our 2 story side extension on our house.
They made the job look easy and completed the works a good time.
A friendly team and good workmanship.

Used Rob and his team to build a large soakaway at a rented property which entailed linking in with a roofing company to link up the drainage. All done to excellent standard, kept informed and on budget. Also built brick base for greenhouse which entailed him working until 8 at night to fit me into his busy schedule. Can't praise them enough, nothing too much trouble.

Worst company to work for they don’t do anything by the book and they treat ALL employees like a piece of Dirt

All warehouse staff are treated like RATS after all the hard work they put in they should be treated correctly

All reviews that are left are from employees and ex employees so no bad reviews are going to be left by them

Wonder if ALL correct policies are in place by the management team as there a family run business and can do what they want

Van drivers are always going out with there vans over weight this is not very professional

Rob and his team were excellent when working on our conservatory. His technical knowledge and advice with other jobs since then have been fantastic and always does what he says, something that you don't get in many trades nowadays. Would recommend 100% and already have.

I decided to use rj construction to build our double exstension and was over the moon with the service we received.
I would deeply recommend this firm to anyone that’s considering any building work.

RJ construction were asked to quote for alteration and improvement to our office premises with the proviso that the works were completed over the Christmas period whilst the office was closed and staff away. I am pleased to say that the work was completed by RJ Construction in the required time scale and to a high standard of workmanship with little disruption to our business.I should also like to comment that the workmen were polite and easy to be around ; in the circumstances I would definitely recommend RJ Construction to both personal and business contacts .

If we could give them 6 stars we would. Great team, professional, standard of work that could not be faulted. There was no point in seeking another firm to do the patio work. Still delighted with it all.
