From my first Phonecall with Ruby to booking the course, everything felt really easy and well supported. Ruby was lovely and very helpful, and Heidi did a great job organising the training and making sure everything ran smoothly.

The IV Therapy, Phlebotomy and PRP training with Gemma was brilliant – she was so friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole day relaxed and enjoyable. I left feeling confident and ready to start delivering treatments. I’d definitely recommend this academy.

DO NOT BOOK A COURSE WITH RJL, GO ELSEWHERE. I would give zero stars if I could.

I paid £300 for a course with RJL Education. The course was due to start at 09:30, but at 08:49am on the same day, while I was already travelling and only minutes away from arriving, I received a phone call informing me that they were cancelling the course due to the educators father being very sick in hospital. I obviously understood this was a serious situation, so I was very understanding and thought these things happen, I’ll reschedule. I managed to found another course that could get me on sooner, so I didn’t need the alternative date, and instead , requested a refund as THEY were the ones who cancelled on me. That’s where things turned bitter.
I requested a refund, as the cancellation was entirely on their side. However, I was told that no refund would be given and that I could only reschedule or use the money as credit, despite the service not being provided.
I explained my consumer rights and followed up in writing, but it has been 5 days and RJL have not had the decency to reply to me.
I think this is extremely unprofessional. I saw another Facebook review where this happened to someone else and they received the same treatment from RJL.
Extremely appalling experience and customer service. I would advise others to be cautious, especially if plans change at short notice.
I have notified my bank and they are dealing with this current

I Have come here many times to model for blow dries , lip blush , brows etc. The staff are ALWAYS so welcoming and the students are always so lovely and keen to learn . What an amazing community you have here!😀💕

I came today for Day 1 of the 7 Method Hair Extensions Course!
It was the best and cant wait for the second day tomorrow, Ashley The Teacher and Ruby the owner were so lovely the day ran so smoothly, so interesting and everyone was so nice i can’t wait to carry this out in salon and offer these services, Heidi on reception is so lovely anything we needed she was there such a special place can’t wait for tomorrow

I recently completed my PRP training at RJL Education, and the entire experience was exceptional. The quality of instruction and customer service was top-notch.

A huge thank you to my instructor, Gemma, who was absolutely excellent. She has a remarkable talent for making complex concepts easy to understand and was incredibly effective at building my confidence throughout the course. She went above and beyond the curriculum, sharing valuable personal insights that are invaluable for anyone starting in this field.

I also want to commend the manager, Ruby, who was a wonderfully hospitable host. She ensured everything ran smoothly and created a very welcoming and professional environment.

Thanks to the entire team at RJL Education for providing such a comprehensive and supportive training program. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality PRP training!

I paid £700 for a weft course and a nano course, got taught by Pauline, both days we started at least 20 minutes late, the training was incredibly poor for the price I paid. In all seriousness I’ve learnt better off YouTube since, rather than in person with trained professionals. I’m not sure if she simply was distracted by the fact the other girl on my course was a qualified hairdresser so had more knowledge than I did, potentially causing Pauline to feel like she didn’t have to be so thorough and in depth but there was little to no theory work. Just felt as if you’re winging it on a dolls head “ watch what I do and copy”. I arrived full of confidence, excited, I threw in every last penny I had thinking I’d leave with a new career that I’ll 100% enjoy and immediately be able to start some form of work from it. I felt the complete opposite even by the end of day 1 (out of 2 days) I immediately dreaded coming back the next day, I felt pressured to hurry up and learn quicker as the two professionals stood watching me waiting for me to finish my set in silence which just made me feel uncomfortable and I couldn’t perform to the best of my ability with patience to actually take in information. On the website it also specified you can buy a doll head as an add on for £35, at the end of my course I got given one but asked to pay £85 I had to confidently assure them it was not that price on the website and a slight scene was made out of it which was rather embarrassing as everyone just stood around and watched me. The woman had to go back on the website and check I wasn’t lying and then proceeded to say this is why she’s quitting her job because there’s no communication and the heads shouldn’t have been advertised as so cheap. I wanted to leave as fast as I could but didn’t make that obvious as I’m shy and polite but felt so ashamed, embarrassed I didn’t learn as simple as the qualified hairdresser, and HUGE regret on paying £700 I didn’t have on something that I struggle to even say £300 would’ve been worth it with the amount I actually learnt and was capable of taking in with how quickly it got swept by. I had to travel by two trains and walk half an hour getting there, I’m that disappointed I actually think I would’ve been better off buying a £700 car and doing delivery driving. It’s fully put my off wanting to continue in the hair industry.

I had my B12 injection at RJL. Very clean and safe environment with incredibly friendly staff to make sure you get the best experience

Absolutely love coming to RJL! The salon has such good vibes and a welcoming atmosphere. The students are lovely and really eager to learn. Danielle, the trainer, is always there overseeing everything, offering guidance and encouragement which really puts you at ease. Josh has done my hair several times now—he’s so professional, friendly, and always makes sure I leave with my hair looking and feeling amazing. Highly recommend!

Spent the morning at RJL to help Josh continue his NVQ 2 training.
The experience was nothing short of fantastic, Josh was friendly, warm and listened to my requests.
Ruby the experienced stylist was on hand all the time to help Josh and show him how to do various cuts.
I was a little nervous at first as I have very fine curly hair, that never does what its supposed to do. Today I have come away with a lovely cut and really very happy, Josh will go far.
I wont hesitate to go again.

Completed a brow shape, lamination and lash lift course. Great place, friendly staff and learnt alot from my training.

I completed the brow shape, lamination and lash lift course and the PMU Bundle course at RJL education. Both courses were really well ran and thorough. The manuals given are really helpful to go back over for theory and again gave so much information and really well presented. The live models were a massive help as they gave you an insight into doing your own client. Overall, an amazing course and lovely staff. I chose to go back to RJL to do my PMU bundle course as I loved the atmosphere!

I completed the brow shape, lamination and lash lift course at RJL education and I can only sing the praises of the staff at RJL lamination. I was kindly greeted on arrival and shortly after begun my training course. The course was conducted so well. I enjoyed that it was just myself and one other woman training at the same time as it allowed for great understanding and thorough support throughout practice on live models. The theory part was interesting and again thorough. Helpful advice was given about the industry and how to implement these services into a business, how to promote, pricing, create content and much more was discussed and advised. Just overall the training course was amazing and I’ll definitely be back for another course soon! Thank you!!

I had a lovely day at RJL Education learning how to do curly blow drys! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My instructor was very patient and kind. She explained everything very well and allowed for lots of hands on learning. She was very encouraging and gave me the confidence I needed. All in all - thanks so much!

I attended the occasion and bridal make up artist course. It was very well organised, the content was quality, my tutor was amazing, she made me feel comfortable and I learned so much. I'm very much looking forward to utilising the techniques I learned to earn an income. Thank you so much!

I did a two day microblading course at RJL Education and had a great experience. Very friendly team and well organised. The place is lovely and super clean as well, I would highly recommend for training or as a model.

I visited RJL as a model for Botox, I have had Botox in the past so I knew what to expect. The lady giving the training made me feel at ease and I could tell she knew her stuff and the students practising on me took it really seriously and did a fantastic job, 2 weeks later and the Botox has fully kicked in and I am delighted with the results! Thank you girls!
