I recently used RMS Debt Solutions and found their service to be quite good overall. The process was straightforward, with Junaid, the Senior Finance Manager, providing clear explanations and being patient and understanding as we discussed the details of my finances. It really helped ease my concerns about my debt situation. While I initially faced some issues with another advisor, Ash, who became quite insistent after I had second thoughts about an IVA, the company remained professional throughout. If you're sure about your decision, RMS Debt Solutions can be a helpful service. Overall, I'd rate my experience 4 stars.

Vic Consumer affairs charged him with over a dozen offences of harassment. He plead guilty, maybe couldn`t afford a solicitor, gets sentenced tomorrow the 8th May. Google Michael Stanyer debt collector charged have a read all about it. If you`ve had dealing with this bloke you know exactly what we are talking about.

My daughter has a debt and he was absolutely disgusting he was threatening and aggressive and was not interested in the situation or trying to find a solution.... the man should be ashamed of himself.... I totally get that he hears all sorts of excuses but he would not even listen to her speak ... just an absolute pig

Michael, the owner an sole operator of the business is quite rude, tries to intimidate you in to making payments by threatening you with default listing's. He does not abide by the credit and collection guidelines. He is using scare tactics to try and get people to pay. Try not to deal with this man if possible and go straight to the ACCC or Consumer Affairs to complain. Do not be scared of him he is a sheep in wolf's clothing.

They did help overall. However..
I had Junaid as an advisor, he seemed to really be in a rush to get it all processed and set up. I guess that can be helpful if youre ready and just want it done. But i was so busy moving and working, i didnt always have the headspace to face my debts, i explained how busy i was and he pressed on, at times trying to get my to agree and go along with things when i explained i couldnt check what he was saying at that time.

He then made up my outgoings initially and booked an interview for an IVA... I wasnt going to lie about my finances, so had to correct his complete guesses during the main appointment, which was queried as to where the figures came from.
He persistently messaged and called me and seemed to get quite annoyed and take it personally if i didnt answer immediately-even though i explained im a single parent, work 12 hour night shifts and was moving home without support.
He asked why i didnt just agree to everything in the appointment and i explained the numbers he had passed over were made up not at all accurate and asked if he was asking me to lie... Of course he denied this and changed his tone.. but he was clearly initially very annoyed it had been passed back to him.

In the end he called all times of day and pressured me so much i went along with rushing it through, even though i wasnt sure... now two of my debts never got added, although i did declare them from the beginning.
So due to rushing it through without giving me the time to check everything properly, I will still have to deal with those debts myself, outside of the arrangement. So rushing has cost me alot of money!

Id be careful you dont get pressured or coerced into going along with their wishes, as i am sure they must get commission or bonus for being quick.
Dont allow them to push you, pressure you or rush you. Its your arrangement. Its your money at the end of the day.

The helpful information and advice from Junaid the Senior Finance Manager was very useful and he is only a phone call away which was great as going through this process can be daunting and stressful but he put my mind at ease
