Arrogant

I've been a customer of RM Williams for about 30 years and I love the product and quality but they have the worst customer service in the world.

They're so arrogant I sincerely hope the company collapses and is never seen again because they don't deserve to be in business when they're such arrogant inflexible asses.

For the cost you EXPECT customisation, but they just refuse to undertake what the customer wants so I now buy Ariat instead which are cheaper but actually a better product and customer service.

terrible customer service

The customer service is horrendous. I've reached out multiple times to get an update on an order with zero replies. I waited way too long on hold trying to speak to someone on their end - seriously how busy can customer service get for a company that sells boots that they can't even pick up the phone? Spend your money and time elsewhere.

Poor online boot purchase experience

An online boot purchase experience that’s been so poor I can’t recommend the company in spite of the nice boots they produce. Twice we’ve received faulty orders - first time the wrong color and second time two boots that did not match in size. The pairs were returned one after the other. According to the postal service the second pair of boots were received by the company around a week ago, but I’m still waiting for feedback despite four emails from my end. Suffice it to say the funds have not been returned to my account yet either. I simply don’t understand how a company that sells such expensive boots manages to offer such a poor customer service experience.

terrible customer support

I've had terrible customer support. My boots were faulty and they've been in the shop for over 4 months and nobody had given me any details about what's happening despite multiple calls.

Unreliable, advertising stock they do not have

Purchased 2 pairs of shoes. One pair arrived and they were the wrong size (too small) so I had to send them back, with tracking, at a cost of NZD41.47. Williams refused to refund the shipping even though the shoes were the wrong size. The other pair of shoes hadn't arrived 10 days later so I had to chase them up and was told they were being "manually sourced" and I would "receive an update soon". I told them I had paid for the shoes in good faith, assuming they were in stock as they had not said otherwise. I asked for an update on the day and surprise, they got back to me within the hour to say that the 2nd pair I'd ordered, and paid for, were out of stock! So, I ended up with no shoes and having to pay $41.47 for shipping for returning the first pair. Obviously I will NOT be ordering from Williams again, and I can not recommend them. Purchase from "Styletread" instead.

$649 for a pair of boots… arrived by delivery- with a note indicating that they were inspected by ‘Rachael’… NO BLOODY INSOLES!!! Just the exposed tacks and raw sole… Plus the heel has a massive indent.. totally unacceptable! Don't by RMs you'll be disappointed.

Received a pair of boots covered in stains & pin holes in the leather. Customer Service is non existent, they asked me for images then closed my query. Spend your hard earned money on better products. Quality and service has gone down hill.

Don’t waste your energy

Don’t put yourself through the headache. I purchased a pair of boots that were in stock and they claimed shipping was 5-7 business days. After two weeks I checked the order status and it still said “processing”. When I contacted customer service they told me the shoes were being packaged by the distribution center and I would receive tracking information in 24-48 hours. I received no such notification. I emailed two more times. Now it’s 3 weeks after the original purchase and they said the item is back ordered. How can you tell me it’s back ordered when that must mean a week ago you lied to me saying my package was about to be shipped?! Awful awful awful.

No returns service available despite advertising

Products didn't fit on arrival. Couldn't process a return via the website as it is "down". Still down over a week later. Made contact with customer service who said that London would deal with it and they don't answer the telephone! I'll have to claim via the card issuer, but shouldn't have to. What an experience. Avoid them if service is what you are after.

Worst buying experience EVER!!!

so, I ordered my first pair of boots which took 6 weeks to arrive, they didn't fit so sent them back only to find they didn't have my size. When my size became available, months later, I ordered a pair. One month laster, still no boots so I chased them up only to be told they couldn't complete my order due to high demand!! so what would have happened if I hadn't chased them up...and now, if I want an alternative pair, the price has gone up in the interim. What a complete shambles and the worst e-commerce experience I can think of!

Terrible quality, high price

The worst and most expensive pair of booots I have ever purchased. Their soles were destroyed 5 months after purchase. The store refused to replace/fix the sole for free and instead asked me to pay 120 gbp IN ADVANCE so that they can be replaced. Horrible horrible and extremely expensive experience…

Very bad experience

The store didn't have my size so they told me there are two pairs of boots at the warehouse and suggested to order a pair for me . I was told it will take a week or so to receive the boots. I paid in full to proceed with the order. Two weeks later i followed up with the store ( Chadstone) and was told that the warehouse will send the boots to the store only when the next stock delivery is scheduled in and it may or may not happen in 3-5 weeks. I had to insist that the store contacts the warehouse to provide a specific date. A week later i was advised by the store that the warehouse doesn't have the boots and that they can't refund the money back automatically so i need to come to the store to get a refund . Will never buy from them again. What a joke !

Discriminatory

Discriminatory. Newmarket store.

Refused entry based on medical status. Arrogant male who claimed to be the manager was very rude and made no attempt to help or serve.

Would be 0 stars if that was an option. R.M. Williams were saved by the angel Camille who helped facilitate my refund while I waited outside the shop. R.M.Williams do not deserve such a beautiful soul to be working for them. Thank you Camille, you are amazing.

R.M.Williams have lost another life long customer. Wake up.

Dismal quality of boots

Very poor product got my boots home and it has all these cracks on both boots
Identical to a leather product being starved of conditioner
Old product sold as a new one to a disabled Aboriginal customer

At the Homebush DFO Store the Customer service is extremely poor
They provide a false phone number then never answer the phone when you ring their new number
I seek a full refund of monies outlaid

As an Aussie Who's Worn RM Williams For 45+ Years - NEVER AGAIN

As a rural Aussie, I have worn RM Williams products for over 45 years showing horses! I have RMW boots that are 3 & 4 decades old, that are still perfectly wearable. HOWEVER, I also have a more modern pair that were worn twice, stored away in their original box & tissue in a climate-controlled walk-in wardrobe ... pulled them out to wear to a horse show, the sprayed on wrong surface coating colour chemicals applied to the wrong surface saw the coating falling off the leather like chronic psoriasis, it was a brown snow-storm in a shoe box!

The only thing those boots are fit for is a ceremonial burning & that's what they'll have, hopefully with a Local Rural TV Station present in an effort to save more "townies" from getting stung, because true grit farmers have seemingly deserted them in their droves.

In recent times RMW quality, both bespoke & off the shelf has gone down the gurgler, big time. When you're talking AU$600+ just for a pair of boots that are absolutely not fit for use after just a few wears, then you know you've got a major problem.

Despite being well aware of their problems, they have demonstrated they don't care in the least whilst continuing to sell boots with known issues, and the only thing they do is actually blame the customer for their awful failures!!! There are many, many different types of fails, and ALL to do with manufacturing & quality of materials - their excuses are both ludicrous AND hilarious, and definitely would NOT stand up in a class action in Court!

If you're thinking of buying their super-expensive, way, way below par boots, search around, do your research - READ THROUGH THE COMPANY'S FEEDBACK & REVIEWS ALL OVER THE WEB, on Facebook etc, it is beyond appalling, and there's untold 1,000's people who've lost their money from all over the world because one Model of a certain combo ALL failed, as just one example. Do NOT be a sucker, research, research, research before losing your money forever to this highly embarrassing Australian company that was once upon a time an absolutely iconic Institution, now just a joke!

Keep an eye out for a page coming up that will have many screen-grabs, and incredibly bad photos that are just difficult to look at, let alone believe that someone paid several hundreds of dollars for such train-wreck merchandise. BUY THAT STUFF AT YOUR OWN PERIL - so many Aussie Farmers have walked away from them, and not without good reason. We all now laugh at the wannabe little pavement-plodding (shreds the soles of RMW boots), soy latte sipping, young Yuppies who aspire to look like Aussie country folk who clearly have way more money than sense and would die if they ever came face to face with any type of livestock whatsoever, let alone have to touch it. That's RMW target market nowadays; they don't need the longevity and quality REAL FARMERS used to depend on, and used to be happy to pay for! Oh how I wish we could put photos up in this site to demonstrate the unimaginable!

Poor quality accessories

I originally put a negative review on about an RMW belt I’d bought through the online retailer but decided this wasn’t their fault.

I have been wearing RMW for over 30 years. The belt was terrible quality. Massed produced, and feels like cardboard. Rather than the old quality of rich supple leathers and great cut.

Really horrible but I’ve decided to keep it as it’s not retailer’s fault. Interestingly the boots are still the same quality it’s just the accessories that have deteriorated

no customer service

There was an interesting sale on their websites and I wanted to buy their belts, but I wasn't able to do so because they had some kind of issues on their side.
I tried contacting them with no response its been days and still no response.

The promotion already ended, so I don't think I will be buying from them again anytime soon

For a brand like R.M.W to charge premium prices, I expect a Very good customer service, but sadly it's not even there.
