Massive thankyou to Tracey and the team at Road Haulage Services Ltd. They moved 2 woodworking machines from South of England to Scotland for me last week. Both machines arrived in perfect condition. There were a couple of unforeseen issues when loading however these were overcome immediately and they delivery even arrived early!

Awful. Quoted £199+VAT to move a pallet of household goods to Spain. After I booked it wouldn't take payment then emailed "just checking the price to see if it's changed". Classic bait and switch technique.
Then it got better, received an email saying he'd advise against transit during the Brexit period (haven't we been in that period for 3 1/2 years now?). I offered to take collection early pre-Brexit but made no difference.
When I called it's because he doesn't trust his Spanish supplier to deliver my goods. What kind of supplier is that?
I now have my entire life on a pallet and nobody coming for it.

Your actions might have been preventative if you'd told me 3 weeks earlier. And recommending another company with 1.7/5 reviews mostly saying goods were damaged doesn't get you off the hook. Your moral compass needs fixing you dropped me in the s*** in the eleventh hour, if that's your idea of being a stand up guy then your view and mine differ by some margin.
And switch and bait is offering a quote then changing something after the customer says yes. EXACTLY as you did ;)

Sorry for your stress Jim and I hope you fared better with the other suppliers I recommended to you. As discussed I would not take your money to book this with a haulier in Spain that I currently do not have faith in. I feel confident that you would be far more stressed if your goods did not arrive or were damaged. My actions protected us both from that.
PS. I don't know what bait and switch is and operate with a strong moral compass toward my customers.
