Disclaimer-I am not paid/nor work for…

Disclaimer-I am not paid/nor work for this co. I have experience in lending, I directed 2 family members to this company for the smooth process and transparency. This is the parameters all finance companies should lend by. I have walked in various roles in lending, this company is not as some of these reviews have stated below. The payment process is transparent and again smooth, for both family members I continue to monitor their file to ensure my recommendation was/is accurate. Another plus is not shopping your credit, the aesthetics of it, despite the slim points reduced if coded for the secure inquiry, it elements this with 1 inqu, but providing you an approval and not a hard inquiry until you sign your docs. I am a bit confused on many negative reviews below, while not dismissing their concerns, but voicing and overseeing the process as a former F&I myself; either majority of the individuals below have encountered a batch of bad or new employees or misunderstood their approval/rate sheet. The rate sheet is used as a guide against the FICO your report is scoring, in this company's case it is the FICO Auto 8, in many or all cases pulled from Experian. Also, many may not know and I am in no way dismissing anyone's knowledge, however the ancillary insurances/add-ons at closing with your sales closing rep, are optional. Do not be lead to believe they are not, a loan can not be conditioned or known as stips declare you MUST have the add-ons/ancillary insurance. I do recommend GAP for any and all, for the unforeseen for the equipment secured primarily by RoadRunner Financial, for your peace of mind. However, the warranties/ protections are optional and can be negotiated on the charge by cost/reduction of years/service or merely reduced because the dealer sheet has the (+/-) overages in sales for the month to do so, or incentive by their sales department within the company at the dealership. Also, another perk with this company, dealerships have zero holdbacks, to put in perspective RoadRunner Financial and the Dealership have an incentive to approve and move your loan along to close, and fund their books, and place the loan in a residual payment state with RoadRunner. I helped two members in March 2022 with their ATVs, including cosigned with my son on his ATV; this company matches the rate sheet, it does not hit your credit with a hard inquiry until the day the loan is closed. The convenience of their transparency, zero shopping and giving the consumer control of their approval (allowing you to assign your approval to another location by calling the customer care to pull back your approval, for the same product at another location or recondition the approval if needed, of course if approved for a different product.) Finance can be smooth, however it can be complicated, the ease of this process in exchange of shopping or aesthetics on credit report, their excellent customer care are hands down one of the best I have worked with including my credit union, as well matching near my Amex's customer care. Likewise, in a business setting the floor-plans I have funded, provided rate sheets, an (or)incentives NOT kickbacks; this company is very transparent. Not all funding and (or) incentives will be disclosed, ex. if the dealership closes 10-20 deals, the incentive on the rate sheet may be reduced favoring the dealer to provide further leverage and incentive to keep the momentum of sales. There are many vessels to finance, including the customer care assisting all, who may or may not understand why a slim credit file young adult qualifies higher than they may, in contrast due to a lengthy credit file or extensive debts declined; known as credit utilization (percentage of your available credit you are using) and your debt ration ( your debts vs your income/disposable available monthly income.) All factors are part of the pie in an approval. Equally, customer care can make a deal smooth or a prospect hesitant in purchasing. My biggest advice, is understanding the lending company you are working with ex. Octane Lending, or who has placed the "stips"(conditions of your approval/necessary documents to complete the approval) or a contingency "approved" application; communicate if a misunderstanding or a necessary document. Please keep in mind lending practices mishandled/mislead and bad "paper" funded, contributed to the "great recession" many of us, myself as an F&I weathered the storm with many unknowns. Ultimately, this holding funding companies to a higher standard, to ensure a corp servicing the paper for 7 years after, will not be managing "bad paper" while account ages out/paid. I recommend RoadRunner, if you have an appreciation for transparency, the aesthetics of minm. hard inquiries, and a smooth purchase.

I have challenged credit

I have challenged credit. I purchased a side by side for my wife and the dealership got loan approval threw road runner financial service. my payment is due on the 20th of each month. On 9/20/22 I submitted a payment online which includes the $4.25 convenience fee. On 9/22/22 starting early in the morning I started receiving phone calls and emails claiming they have not received my payment. I was asked to resubmit the payment because the first payment didn’t go through. and on stupidity of my part I resubmitted another payment. Please note, I am trying very hard to develop a good and clean payment history. 9/24/22 I had checked my online banking to see if another payment that I have made cleared. Only to discover that both payments that I submitted to Roadrunner Financial have been withdrawn from my account putting me in the negative of over $400. so I contacted Roadrunner Financial service and explained to them the situation. Giving them both the confirmation numbers for each payment that was withdrawn from my checking account. I also asked them to put back into my account one of the payments that was received. it was explained to me that Roadrunner Financial service uses a second party accounting firm that manages its accounts. And that I was going to have to send an email and a letter explaining what happened and asking for the second payment of that. They claim that they have no affiliation with this account management Second party company. When you look it up online it is actually a subsidiary company to Roadrunner Financial created so that they can charge you a $4.25 fee for making your payment. Which to me is yet another scam. Up to this incident I was satisfied with Roadrunner Financial. but it is now clear to me that Roadrunner Financial services approve loans to people with challenge credit and then takes advantage of them thinking that because they have challenge credits that they’re stupid people which allows them to take advantage of them because they’re not smart enough to take action against them. because of their scamming process. And please note, I should’ve never submitted the second payment. that’s something I shouldn’t have done. Nevertheless I am now $400 in the hole in my checking account and I am left with the stress of how I’m going to get this took care of so I can pay my other bills. Money is very tight I think for all of us in these times. If you’re reading this. I strongly encourage you to seek your financial needs from another financial institution. It is now in my opinion That Roadrunner Financial services pray on people with bad credit and take advantage of them. Very disappointed in how I’ve been treated!

Dear Mr. Houston,

Thank you for providing feedback about your experience and we are sorry that you were dissatisfied with our service. We have tried to reach you by phone to discuss this situation further but have not been able to reach you.

We reviewed the matter and have identified what may have caused your issue. Payments made after 3pm are updated in our systems at the end of the next business day, effective the previous day. If a payment is made before 3pm it is noted on the account on the same day. Having a cut off point during the day is standard business practice.

Any notice that is sent out includes a statement to disregard the message/communication if a payment has already been made. Your payments in question were made through Speedpay, a third party vendor which we do not control nor have any ownership interest in. Therefore, we didn’t debit your checking account for the additional payment and can’t credit your checking account. As our representative explained, we can’t refund something we didn’t collect directly therefore you would need to contract Speedpay to see any refund, however doing so at this point could have a negative effect on your account as it could affect your payment schedule. If you would like to discuss this particular issue further please contact us to allow us to explain since we do not want to disclose information regarding your account information in a public forum.

We understand it can be frustrating to have overpaid a payment vendor and then want a payment back. In the future if you receive a notice that a payment is due and you have already processed a payment, you can contact us directly to confirm if a payment has been received.

Again, we thank you for raising your concern. Please know that we most sincerely appreciate your business. Let us know if you have any further concerns by calling 833-288-1367 and asking for the Director of Training and reference your google review..

With best regards,

As discussed with our agent earlier this month, there are some companies that advertise that they will accept payments for lenders for a fee, who are not at all associated with the lender. The one discussed during the call with our agent was one of those business. In that scenario you would be paying that business to take your payment and drop it in the mail to us. That is not really helpful to most people and is probably not worth the $10.00 they were going to charge you to do it.

As advised on the call with our representatives, we have several payment methods that do not involve paying a fee. You can pay online through our payment portal, set up auto pay or mail us a physical check, all of which are free. As indicated, we are happy to text or email you links to our new customer portal that includes an even easier than before method to make an online payment, a link to set up AutoPay, and even our Payment Processing Center address. Much of this can be found on our website at www.roadrunnerfinancial.com/payments.

As a reminder, if you land on a website that asks you to go to another company to pay, as you indicated was your experience, you are not on our website and we do not receive any fee that they charge. We do not promote the use of any of these third-party sites as they are expensive and can cause a delay in our receiving your payment in a timely manner. I hope this clears up your concerns and please know that we sincerely appreciate your business. If we may be of further assistance to you, you can contact us at 833-288-1367 or email us at customerservice@roadrunnerfinancial.com. Please ask for the Training Manager and reference your Trust Pilot Review. Very truly yours, Roadrunner Account Services Customer Service.

I had Finance my four wheeler Roadrunner and I had never missed a payment and probably 18 or 19 months and like many people between covid and everything else I have following $229 behind I did speak to the manager and try to make some sort of positive approach just saying hey give me a couple weeks to get at least one payment in and the meantime all I kept doing was starting to come repossess my four-wheeler over $229 and the towing and recovering fee I'd be more than what I owe I would not recommend going through them now I am looking for someone else to finance through the remaining balance

Dear Sir, we regret that you had a negative experience with our company. As relayed to you in a recent call with one of our agents, every lender has risk tolerances within which they must operate and strict guidelines we are required to adhere to. As much as we do want to work to resolve this matter with you, the request was outside our standard operating guidelines. False reporting and will not own up to their mistake

After I was assured, by Roadrunner financial, that my ATV was clear and paid off with them, they falsely reported my account as being late for months and then added a "charge off" to all credit bureaus under my name. One of the managers that I spoke with even became verbally aggressive and unprofessional. I have proof of payoff and they still falsely reported my account as a "charge off".

I say this with great praise.

I say this with great praise.

RoadRunner Customer Services Representative Karen Rodrigues who verified my information, and I say this with the upmost attention, went beyond a simple phone call her tone of voice was MOST welcoming, which displayed that she was committed to fostering an environment that’s welcoming from the beginning to the end, she was inclusive and respectful.

If I decided to purchase a motorcycle with Lucky Penny Cycles I wouldn’t mind taking out a loan with RoadRunner because of her professionalism that she displayed was responsible for delivering a best in class customer support experience.

I will never forget she my brief interaction with Ms. Karen Rodrigues, great business and customer service all around.

Thank you again for your pleasant Customer Service

Don't ever get behind!

Don't ever get behind!! They will blow your phone up even after you tell them when to expect your payment. Over four years (almost 5) and no late payments until Covid yet treated as if I paid late every other month.

Never finance thru them !!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give a negative I would in a heart beat. Got pre approved they road runner found the atv we wanted contacted the dealer and put a hold on it. Called road runner and they needed some paperwork , not a problem sent it to them several times in several different forms. Every time they said it was blurry couldn’t read. Talked to probably 10 people never the same answer Finally talked to a very nice lady she said she would figure it out immediately and call me back. Never got a call back. So called the dealer we were going to purchase it thru and they ended up financing us at a way I mean way lower internet rate. Would never recommend road runner

Dear Ms. Schrodt,
Thank you for your inquiry and we apologize for the delay and negative experience that you faced during our credit review process. Our investigation revealed that our underwriting team attempted to contact you several times during the credit review process to request certain required documents, as the copies that we received were blurry and could not be read. This delayed our ability to proceed with the credit review process. We relayed this information to your dealership and attempted to contact you on 10/18/21 at 1:31pm & 2:04pm and were unable to connect with you. Our goal is to ensure that we provide the best quality service and do so in the most efficient and timely manner. Due to our internal underwriting guidelines and applicable law, if we do not receive clear copies of all applicable documents, then we cannot move forward with the loan. Please know that we will share your concerns with our underwriting team and we hope that you will consider us in the future, should the need arise.

Run to the Credit Union! Not to Roadrunner!

I purchased a motorcycle ZXR14 June 2021 I was aware of the interest rate at 18% because I just purchased a home. I've made 4 payments as of today October 06, 2021 somehow someway they're math and my math does not correspond has only dropped the principal less than $300 I'm very well aware that a $285.85 payment & over a $192 goes to interest my goal and intention is to pay the Balance by December 1st 2021 the individual- representative was quite helpful professional professionally dry. Don't go with Roadrunner it's best to get your funds for your motorcycle through a Credit Union! lower interest rate and pay off ASAP! Double up your payments. Or calculate the interest rate that is pulled from your monthly payment find out how much is going to principle & how much is going to your balance. Don't waste your time allowing them to make money off of you, we all know the game! I'll never go back to Roadrunner again! Run to the Bank/Credit Union as fast as you can. I'm running as fast as I can to the bank to pay this off ASAP! 🤗

Dear Ms. Young,

Thank you for speaking with our representative on 10/8/2021 in order to review your concerns. We discussed the uniform standards that all banks, credit unions and finance companies follow who use simple interest as a basis for interest calculation. Every time a payment is made, interest is calculated from the date of the last payment and applied out of that payment, with the rest being applied to principal. This same calculation is done by every financing institution whether it be Roadrunner Financial or a credit union. It is true that if you agree to a high interest rate loan, less money will be applied to principal each month than if you had a low interest rate loan. That is true regardless of where you finance you motorcycle. We discussed that interest rates follow risk-based credit policy guidelines whether at a bank, credit union or finance company. We hope our conversation was able to help allay your concerns. Know that we sincerely appreciate your business and if we may be of further assistance to you, you can contact us at 833-288-1367 or email us at customerservice@roadrunnerfinancial.com. Don’t hold your breath for refunds

Im sorry but they don’t even deserve the 1 star that I was forced to give in order to write a review. I had a total loss of my utv and have been waiting for a refund of my extended warranty in which I am owed. I have been outright lied to by any and everyone at this facility stating that the funds have been sent and that they would be sent overnight only to be disappointed time after time. The refund was authorized to be refunded back on June 5th and I have made several calls only to find over and over again that no refund had ever been issued. I finally thought I had a resolution on Aug. 5th but yet again no refund. While I’m at it I didn’t understand why the option to have the funds directly deposited into my account was only offered last week, even though all along this was an option but never offered. I contacted my bank since I was promised that it would be in my account no later than Tuesday Aug 10th 2-3 business days after it was processed by accounting. It was no surprise that it was yet again not there. My bank advised me to contact you and verify that all the information you have is correct and to ask for a trace number so my banking institution could locate and verify that indeed that a refund was processed however your accounting could or would not provide the requested information and instead gave me a bogus number that had no relevance. Lastly I requested a call from a supervisor twice and only received a call back once by Cybil in which I missed and then when I called back I was not able to speak to her only relay questions and information via the customer service rep. Customer service reps have been helpful up until this last one she was rude and when asked for a number of corporate office she rambles off the number very quickly several times and when I asked her to slow down she did not. I’m so frustrated and can’t wait to get my refund so I can be done with this company.

Dear Ms. Rojas,

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We were happy we had the opportunity to discuss this matter with you over the phone and was glad to learn that the funds we sent via ACH to you on 08/05 had reached your account. Again, we apologize for the delay in getting you your refund and are deeply sorry for any inconvenience you experienced. As was discussed during the call with our agent, we were glad you could see that nobody was deliberately lying to you, and that the reference to the “bogus number” was actually the payment reference number we furnished to you when you asked for some identifying reference number to share with your bank. We are thankful you brought this issue to our attention so we could identify and correct the gap in our process, so it won’t happen again. We appreciate the opportunity to respond. We sincerely hope after working with our representative that you agree that all your concerns have been addressed and fully resolved.
