Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 48 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, frequently describing it as unresponsive, unhelpful, and difficult to reach. Customers also reported widespread issues with product quality, with many devices malfunctioning or breaking down prematurely, often within months of purchase. This led to a perception of poor value, especially given the high price points of the products. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with customer support, finding representatives helpful, professional, and quick to resolve issues, sometimes resulting in product replacements. A few other people also felt that the products offered excellent cleaning performance and were easy to manage.

A little dodgy of a product, hard to make it work. But the product category is notoriously unreliable, so not sure Roborock is any bit worse than the others. Great pricing at least!

If there was "0" stars option I would…

If there was "0" stars option I would give one.
If you are in Australia and even thinking of buying Roborock( any model), I strongly advise you not to go for it. Why?
- You will get cheap quality product at probably a discounted price.
- They will show nice video on website doing amazing things.. all of this is false. For some time the robot will work fine, it will do some stuff as new unit but then within 6 months expect it will break down with sensor errors, etc etc
- Roborock customer service are trained to send you standard template of replies such as : as per clause a, b or c your warranty is avoid.
- there is almost no customer service or support
- they recently close down victoria based service centre to enhance poor customer service

I again suggests dont BUY ROBOROCK. If you already have one, pray for it not to break. This is my genuine personal experience with the company

Ongoing Warranty Issues with Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra – Lack of Support from Roborock and Sotel.DE

I purchased a Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra from Sotel.DE in May 2024, but just 8 weeks later, the product experienced a power failure, rendering it unusable. I reported the issue promptly to both Roborock and Sotel.DE on 15th July 2024. Despite providing detailed documentation, videos, and completing all troubleshooting steps as requested, neither company has taken full responsibility for resolving this issue.

My Experience:
Roborock Support: Initially responsive but quickly deflected responsibility, insisting that the seller handle the warranty. Follow-up emails, including a formal 5-day response deadline sent on 18th October 2024, were ignored.
Sotel.DE’s Response: Acknowledged the issue but maintained that I must arrange and pay for the return of the faulty product from the UK to Germany. This contradicts EU and UK consumer protection laws that require sellers/manufacturers to cover the cost of returning faulty items.
The Outcome So Far:
Over three months of communications have yielded no progress, leaving me without a working product and no clear path to resolution. It is disappointing that a premium brand like Roborock, known for quality, and an established supplier like Sotel.DE fail to meet their obligations when handling warranty claims.

My Request:
I am seeking a repair, replacement, or refund, and for the cost of returning the product to be covered by the seller or manufacturer, in line with EU consumer rights.

I hope this review prompts action and helps other potential buyers consider their post-purchase support options before committing to high-value purchases from Roborock or Sotel.DE.

I purchased the most expensive ROBOROCK…

I purchased the most expensive ROBOROCK 1800.00 roborock s8 maxv ultra. I have had problems from the beginning. You initially talk to a agent but only to email tech support- how to try different methods to remedy the problem. Only way to communicate through email ridiculous !!! I wanted to love this VAC and have done everything recommended including utube/ googling as well as getting little help from Roborock.

Love our Roborock hate their service

We absolutely Love our Roborock Sv7 Max Ultra but recently had issues so sent it in to get repaired. They told us the warranty was voided as the machine was filthy and neglected. Turns out while we were on holiday the person watching our house and dogs used chemicals in the machine which damaged it. I'm shattered as it was not a cheap machine.

Long story shirt Roborock has had our unit almost 2 months and can't give us a quote for repair only saying it will START at $600. Tried emailing them multiple times and no one is any closer to giving me a time frame or a quote. I have surgery soon and wanted the unit back as help around the house. I told them this and they couldnt care less.

I have recommended this unit and brand to so many people but no more. Appalling customer service. It shouldn't take two months to get a quote for repair and the fact they can't even give me a time frame. We will get the machine sent back and purchase from another brand.

Disappointment! I Wasted My Money and Time!

I purchased the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra with high expectations and paid a premium price, but my experience has been a complete disappointment. The device can’t even perform its most basic function of vacuuming properly. After cleaning, there is dust and dirt left all over the house. I’ve tried the product multiple times with different modes and settings, but the result is always the same!

I contacted Roborock Turkey's technical support several times to resolve the issues. The first time I sent it in, they claimed they tested the device and said it was "working fine." However, the same problems continued when the device was returned. I sent it back again and requested a replacement or a refund, but they still say that "technical inspection" is required. This process has been dragging on for 3-4 months, and I still don't have a working vacuum at home!

Even Roborock HQ (international support team) confirmed that the product is defective and should be replaced or refunded, but Roborock Turkey has taken no action and continues to waste my time. Throughout this process, I have lost both time and money and experienced a lot of unnecessary stress.

I absolutely do not recommend this product! If you don’t want to waste your money and time, stay away from it! I also expected more responsibility from Hepsiburada in handling this issue.

Decent products, horrible company

It is so unfortunate that a company with such popular and quite exceptional range of products is so horrible when it comes to everything else such as customer service, and shipping. Roborock claims that the order has shipped almost 2 weeks ago, and when checking USPS tracking it's been stuck at "USPS in possession of item" for almost that entire time. After reaching out to USPS, I was informed that it is just a manifest and the item isn't in their possession, rather it hasn't even been shipped to their processing centers yet. Never purchase directly from Roborock, and if purchasing through Amazon, make sure it's shipped directly from them.

For a machine that performs as well as…

UPDATE Sept 25th
I returned the original Roborock as a final finger to the company. It's a huge shame. They told me that I stole the item and that "it doesn't belong to me" after Amazon was forced to step in. It took me several calls to Amazon, but they have also ensured no matter what the company says upon return. I'm not getting charged.

Maybe next time, don't induce psychological warfare. You'll lose. I'm helping multiple people on the r/roborock get refunds and chargebacks to those who have issues after they've given up, further inducing as much money loss to this company as possible.

UPDATE Sept 20'th
Amazon provided a full refund, letting me keep the Master. This made Roborock angry, so they emailed me that my warranty was now void because the "Robot, in theory, doesn't belong to me."

You'd be blown away to hear just how the support team is for a machine that performs as well as it does.

When you call support, you get the same agent repeatedly. I've heard they have a team of 20 answering the phones.

I had a Revo Pro for a few days and loved it. Then I saw the lightning deal on Amazon for $150$ more. I returned the Pro to Target and got the Master. The duo roller has a defect on my laminate floors, where a loud vibration happens when the vacuum is running.
I tried reaching out to Amazon for a replacement, but they refused. I tried reaching out to Roborock. They want to RMA and receive the item first, and THEN they will send me a new one. I read on Reddit that Roborock steals vacuums and doesn't return them when you RMA. Amazon advised me not to RMA. I had to call Amazon 35 times, but they finally made an exception and sent me another master. I plugged it in, and the same grinding noise was on my floor.

I'm busy reporting the issue to the Amazon AtoZ team and Amazon Marketing. I love the product, other than the grinding noise on my floors.

Roborock refund theft

I purchased my roborock. It stopped working after 2 months. After countless back and forth and trying to trouble shoot it with them. They requested to return it for repairs. Amazon wouldn't accept return. They gave me an address which I paid to post it to. I was in contact with this person. After the package was confirmed to be received they halted communications. This now sounds like theft

Pure Garbage!

Received a Roborock robot vacuum cleaner as a gift but being impracticle (given the sizes of New York apartments), I decided to sell it. The vacuum cleaner is still in its original box with a factory seal, never opened.
Listed it on eBay. A few days later, the listing was shut down, citing a Copyright infringement claim by the copyrights holder. To contest the claim, the letter contained an email address.
Contacted Roborock several times at the address provided. 0 response received. Read in other forums that this is what they do. To prevent new sales from dropping, they shut down all secondary sales: eBay, Amazon, and other marketplace sellers have experienced the same issue. No explanation is ever provided. They just force marketplaces to shut down listings of all new Roborock products.
Filed a complaint with the Justice Department's antitrust department. Hopefully, Roborock is banned from selling in the US

THIS COMPANY WILL NEVER STAY IN BUSINESS

I am out $2000 because of a product that I never received BUT WAS CHARGED FOR. I have been Roborock for 3 months and NO ONE in customer service wants you to help you. They make up a lie and tell you they are working on it. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL NOT BE IN BUSINESS VERY LONG.

I WILL BE FILING A LAW SUIT

If I could give a ZERO star I would

If I could give a ZERO star I would. Purchased a Roborock wet/dry Flexi Pro and immediately started having problems. It is nearly impossible to get help except being told to send a video of the problem. The machine was 1 day old when I started having problems.
Now I’m getting a story about only getting an exchange rather than a refund. I don’t trust this company and just want to send this back and get a refund but somehow I don’t think that is going to happen. Don’t buy from this company.

SCAMMERS - DO NOT BUY FROM ROBOROCK

Would give NO stars if I could! We purchased a brand new Roborock S7 Max Ultra vacuum with 2 year extended warranty on Amazon, December 18, 2023. The vacuum and mop worked well for a little over 3 months. In early April of 2024, the vacuum stopped mopping, couldn’t locate the base to wash the mop, and the vacuum was no longer emptying the dust bin. Emailed customer support and provided very detailed issues and 3 videos. They told us we had to follow their troubleshooting steps and provide videos of problems. Did all of that, but nothing worked. I told them that they needed to replace the vacuum because it is not working properly and there is a 1 year warranty period if bought new. They came back and said that the warranty was only for 1 month so it can’t be replaced. They are 💯 scammers and blatantly lying and stealing money from customers. They have to be stopped. I am leaving reviews anywhere I can find their products to warn other customers about this. I will be contacting Amazon next hoping that they can do something to make this right and I will be requesting them to consider removing Roborock products from their website.

Do NOT BUY Anything! Worst Products and Support Ever

Unless you want to relieve the old days of buying really cheaply made Printers or something that constantly need parts or ‘accessory kits’ and you want to be hung up on by support staff… and want a warranty claim and dispute over who should help between retailer and Roborock.

Total of 50+ emails. Videos of problems sent. Steps done to rectify fault. 6 month old 2,500K top of line robot… told is faulty and needs replacement, asked if RMA and told YES and to return to retailer for help. Needed RMA code for every unit as even they don’t trust Roborock at all with anything they send back without a sold credit note promise.. they won’t talk to store manager to confirm. Was hung up on after told their manager wanted to look into
It.

This is after I have email already saying they agree it needs repair and is faulty and is in warranty.

Then they want me to ship the whole thing back to Germany, I bought in Australia. - because they sent EU stock to Australia. But can’t look at it here and can’t support it here so the testing the AU people did is all invalid apparently, Germany doesn’t trust their own team to look at same product.

Submitting to ACCC for breach of consumer law rights and asking to investigate and review tristpilor and reports of others with issues.

Roborock…. Worst ‘flagship’ $2,500 Robot Vac/Mop (with auto empty dock and water etc EVER don’t waste your money.

Read other reviews… endless warranty claims.

I bought another brand robot for $2600 before leaving store with dodgy broken one still no path to next steps.

Even after one clean… 1000x better than the top of the line Roborock ever did. Absolutely amazed - talk about mass delusion and brand name recognition as top brand for robot vacs.

Absolutely do not buy!!

Piece of junk

This broke down before it was 8 months old. We only used it once a week for a 1,000 square foot area. I sent it in for repair, because it would not charge. It came back with power, but once that power was gone it would not recharge. There are also new problems we did not have prior to them "repairing" it. It can't find the base, it won't empty the dust bin, and it won't mop.

Save your money. This is a huge money and time suck and not worth the trouble.

Sent used vacuum, refuse to replace. TERRIBLE service.

I ordered a robot vacuum with plenty of time before leaving the country, hoping to take it with me. Extremely slow delivery, didn't get it in time. Return home to open it and it is FILTHY, used, full of hairs and dirt. I paid for a new vacuum. Lots of back and forth with customer service who then tells me "we sent you a new vacuum and it's been too long so we're willing to offer $30". Ridiculous. It's been slightly over a month because they were slow in delivering it and I was not in the country, which they knew from our documented correspondence, and the disgusting vac is clearly not new. They are effectively calling me a liar despite all the photo evidence. TERRIBLE customer service.

Have a problem…don’t count on RoboRock

1: claims unit not received
I sent proof of delivery

2: claimed cannot find unit
Why

3: Finally found, but no idea when unit will be repaired
Should have gone e the front of the line

4: after weeks of calls am told ‘this has been escalated’
To what

5: after numerous calls I am told ready to ship
What took so long and I offered to just have a refurbished unit sent

6: nothing but excuses and disorganization
Not a company one can rely on

No answer from support and no answer from sales departments.
