I came back from a trip on the long weekend with a cough that had ruined my trip. Since local medic enters were not open, my daughter suggested rocket doctor. They were quick to respond and asked the right questions. Prescribed appropriate antibiotics until the chest x-ray could confirm. Then, adapted to the x-ray results quickly. Everyone friendly and seeming concerned with my situation. Very pleased.

The doctor I saw was empathetic, efficient and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Rocket Doctor to everyone. I filled in my request on a Friday around 10 am and by that evening I saw the doctor and he sent the prescription to my pharmacy.

like rocket doctor but couple flaws. One is the long wait time on chat I waited 30 minutes and couple times it threw me out I had to start over . Second thing is the doctors dont send the prescription right away. Last couple times I had to leave multiple messages asking to send the prescription to my pharmacy. Also appointment times are redicuolusness I waited 15 minutes after my actual time.
The chat seems to always go to Canadian side and the person says let me escalate the conversation why isn't there usa chat . I always get shoved in Canadian side I am in California . Its very frustrating that you guys have very limited appointment time brackets I barely can get one on the same day

What is frustrating is you have to wait 2 hours to make an appointment. Sometimes longer .

I needed to try and online doctor for several reasons, I was absolutely skeptical. I chose RocketDoctor based on some reviews and research. My experience was completely different from what I expected. The process was simple, seamless, and every interaction I had (from the booking to the call from the doctor) was done with complete respect, professionalism and ethical consideration. Now that I have an account with RocketDoctor I will 100% be using this invaluable service for any non urgent medical concern. I've already referred several people to this site because I think what you're doing here is important for those of us who struggle to access our regular doctors for non urgent needs. I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating virtual appointment with Dr. Boying Xue. I came into the appointment experiencing significant symptoms and explicitly requested an ultrasound to investigate the root cause of my pain. Instead of listening to my concerns or evaluating my situation thoroughly, the doctor was extremely rude, hostile, and completely dismissive of my health.

He refused to order the ultrasound, only providing a basic urinalysis requisition. Worse, he told me that if I still felt I needed an ultrasound, I would just have to call back and book an entirely new appointment.

The lack of empathy, poor bedside manner, and refusal to provide comprehensive patient care was deeply concerning. If you are looking for a virtual physician who actually listens to their patients and takes their symptoms seriously, avoid this doctor. Absolute worst experience.

Edit: you do realize I mentioned the doctor was very rude with no bedside manners. Also, the doctor telling me to make another call to get a request for an ultrasound for my kidney pain and treating the two things as separate issues needing two appointments is treating a patient like a business for more money.

Additionally, the play with words to make the appointment as if all the symptoms I had are “urinary” when I clearly stated in my initial intake form I had two co-occuring symptoms: urinary and kidney pain. Right from the begining he said “you have urinary pain” & kept on talking about the urinary pain & what lab test he will order. He kept only focusing on urinary aspect, despite the fact that I mentioned I had clear kidney pain co-occuring menioned at intake, to the staff member who called me and to Dr Xue. He said if you had a kidney infection you would have pain all day, pain wont come and go. I said but I still get that pain. He replied it’s not the cause of your urinary pain & if you want to get an ultrasound for it, you have to make another call. He totally kept totally separating the two & tried to make it like I didn’t even mention I had kidney pain from the very beginning. It seemed he is treating me the patient as a business & separating my co-occurring symptoms for different visits.

He also menioned, “you’ve had a kidney ultrasound before”. I said that was “years ago”, and I also never had kidney symptoms for it. It was an ovaries uktrasound for something wntirely different (PCOS testing) tat happened to have my kidneys in the ultrasound. And even mentioning it is ridiculous when I’m telling him I have “sharp kidney pain” & he can see that was a PCOS scan for “ovaries”.

Of course, he will try to paint it like he was trying minimal first because there is absolutely no reason for his inappropriate rude behaviour and also dismissal of symptoms. Take a look at his reviews at RateMD & half the reviews are 1 star for a reason. And if this is what he has informed you about the apt, then he is also twisting facts just like he twisted the objective of my visit.

Edit: Their team followed up with me after this review only and not as a regular practice. They also lied during the follow-up, which led to a negative experience altogether.

My experience with the doctor himself? 5 stars. He was attentive, he was clearly actively listening, instead of charting while I was talking and only hearing part of what I was saying–as many doctors do. The 3 stars is due to the lack of follow-up and aftercare. The booking process was super easy. I love that you direct bill our BC Medical, too. I would have liked a little follow-up and that's the only reason for 3 stars. Everything else was absolutely perfect, thank you. If there was a way to give stars to different parts of the experience–like Google reviews–I would say everything was 5 stars, aside from aftercare.

Compassionate and caring Dr, excellent customr service and easy to use

I had a bad infection and needed a anti- biotic on a weekend
Rocket Doctor provided me the proscription and I recovered fairly quickly but the wound was on the verge on going septic so I was very thankful that Rocket Doctor was there to help me

I could schedule the appointments easily and quickly , the doctors are on time and listen to the concerns , explain in detail the solutions, the effects and risks associated.
I am very pleased.

Zero-star experience. My father’s thyroid test results were delayed for several days despite repeated follow-ups and LifeLabs confirming they were ready. The results showed abnormal thyroid levels, and his medication had to be changed while his skin condition worsened. I also received no clear explanation for why the results were restricted to Dr. Omer Dost, who is not our family doctor. Extremely poor communication and irresponsible handling of an urgent medical matter.

Well organized process with quick turnaround time. Customer service was easy to understand and very helpful. The Dr was tops.
The only critique...Other apps allow you to choose the Dr and appointment time. This one doesn't.

It was easy to get an appointment the very next day. The communication from Rocket Doctor was prompt and responsive.
The Doctor called within 1 minute of the scheduled time and was thorough but to the point.

My doctor was on vacation when my husband needed a prescription. Rocket doctor listened to his problems and quickly issued a prescription to my pharmacy. I was so relieved! Wonderful service!

Amazing service. I have a disability and can only walk with a walker. I get anxiety whenever I go out. It’s so nice to be able to talk to a Dr in your own home. I talk to the Dr about my prescriptions and right away my pharmacy gets them ready and delivers them the next day.
