Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the Rodne Stavanger cruise. The eco-friendly, quiet boat drove right up to waterfalls and other points of interest for photo opportunities. The comfortable, modern catamaran with large panoramic windows allowed passengers the comfort on a chilly day. Large, informative monitors gave extra information along the way.
We definitely recommend this cruise if you visit Norway.
This was one of the worst tour experiences I’ve ever had.
We paid 1,500 kroner for two people and brought our small 3 kg dog with us. Only after boarding were we told that our dog was not allowed inside the boat. As a result, we had to spend the entire trip—about 3.5 hours—outside on the deck in very cold weather.
Not only were we freezing the whole time, but our little dog was also extremely cold and uncomfortable. For the amount of money we paid, this was incredibly disappointing and far from the enjoyable experience we expected.
If dogs are not allowed inside, this should be made much clearer before booking, especially during colder months. Small dogs should not have to sit outside for hours in freezing temperatures.
Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the tour at all and felt that the experience was not worth the price. I would not recommend this tour to anyone traveling with a dog.
