Mismatched expectations from organiser and customer.

I held a party here last weekend for my daughter's 7th birthday. The venue was lovely and the children had a blast. Parents were happy and purchased refreshments.
I was disappointed by the communication at the time with pre arranged pricing for the guests (with a range for skater numbers) and what was demanded at the end, without prior discussion in front of guests. It was embarrassing which was also soured by the manager swearjng to his staff about our party group as we left. I'm glad to see following our experience, information has been updated over skate sizing, party pricing and spectators. The issue could have been handled more professionally and compassionately, as a charitable organisation. In future, I hope if staff are unhappy they communicate this asap, rather than wait till the end so that points can be acted on and not swear at your customers.

Great venue! Amazing atmosphere and people.

It's the best roller venue I know in Gloucestershire! Not only it's conveniently located in GL Quays, with a big parking space, it has big enough track for roller-skating and doing tricks, has 2h sessions all week long, rents equipment, has a bar and a shop which will fulfil all skaters needs but also has amazing and knowledgeable staff with years of roller-skating experience, who are always helpful, smiling and just great! Me and my husband always attend the Thursday 8pm adult session that has few regular great skaters attending it too. It's an amazing community. Attending roller disco helps a lot to release stress of everyday life. You forget about the world and just skate. Thanks for having us! :D

My favourite rink in the UK.

Fantastic rink with a great vibe and the staff are brilliant.

I've been learning to roller skate for the last few months and found this rink online. I've been going in the less busy periods and had many fantastic sessions. The staff are happy to offer their advice and support as I wobbled around.
Some of the regulars have also helped me.
I am now skating much more confidently.

The price of these sessions is very fair, esp if you join as a member.

Pricing and booking experience is opaque and just silly

The rink is a bit small and there’s no real straight section. The floor is a little slippery and you can’t hire inline skates, only quads. On the plus side the lighting is nice and the audio is good. The kids loved it which is the main thing but the shine was knocked off the whole experience by the opaque pricing arrangements. I tried to book online where tickets were listed as £8 but the site wouldn’t let me. I phoned the place and they said that you can’t book tickets online less than 12 hours in advance of the session (???!), but not to worry as I could pay on the door. So I get there with my kiddies only to be told that the ‘on the door price’ is £12 per head!!! Couldn’t say no to my kids at that stage so had to go with it. Not impressed.
