Super car sale

The sales person was knowledgeable and helpfull and kept me informed of any interest or not.
The whole process from car collection to final sale was made as seamless as possible.
Would strongly recommend them.

If carlsberg did car sales

Probably the best car. Buying experience I’ve ever had. Treated properly from the first minute and the car was presented in amazing condition. Had a tour of the garage and its facilities which was really interesting. I will definitely be going back for my next Porsche to these guys

It started with a Saturday 2 car drive out…

It started with a Saturday 2 car drive out to Romans to look at their stock and ended up with the Purchase between 2 of us of an 812 Comp; GT3 Touring and 430 Scud....why? Kristian Wilkin (sales) was fantastic. He was passionate about all the cars but allowed us to browse, chat and talk cars! For as long as we wanted. The stock is amazing, the detail and history of each car perfect and frankly you want great service when buying anything and that is indeed what we received. Romans received 2 quality PX cars and will be a mandatory go-to for me in the future. Indeed I have my eyes on another :-)

a landrover defender they had for sale .
I was then contacted by Ben the salesman who came specially in on a
Sunday for me to view the car .
It was exactly as it was described in
the advert .I had a very good experience from start to finish .

After originally purchasing my car from…

After originally purchasing my car from them 5 years ago I was so glad they helped me when I wanted to then sell the car. I had the pleasure of dealing with Josh who found me a great price for the car which was a few thousand more than the next bid. Josh kept me totally informed of his progress which was speedy at that, and made the whole process really easy for me. Highly recommend this company and in particular Josh who really knows his stuff.

Service was not warm

I have enquired with them several times - the vehicle I am looking for is very specific. Each time I do I get an a most ‘we’re too busy - do it yourself’ attitude which is not what I would expect of a high calibre service. I have gone elsewhere since but find the service disappointing because the cars look good.

Dream Car

Stephen and Kristian made sure the whole process of purchasing my car was smooth and without any problems, making a long held dream come true. Excellent service and I would consider returning to Romans for any future car purchases.

Trade sale to Romans

Once price agreed sale of car to Romans was straight forward. Car was collected at agreed time and place. Full payment was immediate minus £250 due to needing to obtain new v5 with removal of private plate. Remainder was paid on receipt of new V5.

Check everything when you take delivery

I gave a low rating due to the dishonesty and sub-par sales service. No sob story; I'll make this short.

The car I bought from Romans International, was listed on the ad and the sales receipt as 5600 miles. It was over 6,100 miles when I took delivery, off by almost 10%. When I took delivery, I rushed through things and didn't check; that was 100% my bad. I fell for that "reputable", "highest quality service" mirage like a sucker, such naivety.

The salesperson needed more initiative; I had to actively ask on every occasion to know the progress. He suggested things but did not honour them. Then, the whole transaction could have been a lot faster; it took almost a week without financing, which is probably why there's an additional 500 miles to the car.

For anyone reading this, I am not discouraging you from buying from them; I am telling you to ensure everything checks out. Do not rely on the salesperson; it doesn't matter how long they have been in the business. Car dealerships' sole existence depends on profit, and that's from you and me; they should be working for you, not the other way around; for the amount of profit they are making, cut them no slack.

Edited to three stars due to a sincere email from the person in charge; and an incident with another car dealership, where Romans was a lot better in comparison.

Thank you for leaving feedback, we are honestly devastated to receive a 1 star review as customer service is absolutely paramount to our business. Whilst there are some mitigating circumstances as to why your experience was sub-par with this particular sales executive during this period, we take full responsibility for this as we should not have let it affect your overall experience.

With regards to the mileage we are only learning about this discrepancy for the first time reading your review and had we known about this mistake we would have offered you some kind of gesture as goodwill to try and make up for this. We always photograph the exact mileage on our adverts as part of our advertising process and unfortunately because we had used library photos for this car having sold it 6 months previously we failed to check and re-photograph the exact mileage. It showed 5,600 on our system which having looked into this was taken on the day we agreed and signed to buy the car back but unfortunately the previous owner did another a few hundred miles in the car before he actually brought the car into Romans. Whilst there are no excuses that we failed to update the exact mileage in our adverts, this was an honest mistake and contrary to what you have described.

We can assure you that your experience is a very unusual one and given the chance in the future, we will go over and above to ensure that your next experience is a far better one.
