Charges extra where they can, takes ages and doesn’t keep customers updated

Purchased a phone from here. Wasn’t impressed when parts weren’t working from the get go, had to warranty the phone. Waited over a week and had to call to get an update, wasn’t kept in the loop and wasn’t impressed with the customer service. Was told my issues were “software updates” when I knew I updated to the latest software.

We would like to confirm that after checking all the parts of your device, we found that everything was working correctly as it should be. The issue you experienced was related to a software problem, which we were able to fix for you under warranty.

It's important to note that when we say "software issue," we're not just talking about updating to the latest software. In this case, it meant restoring the software to its original state. We also wanted to let you know it occurred at the time of setting up the phone when you were using it because of the unstable network.

Regarding communication during the repair process, we apologize if there was any confusion. Since your phone was in our repair centre, we couldn't contact you directly. However, we did inform you upfront that the warranty process would take 3-4 business days. Therefore, there was no need for you to reach out to us until we had resolved the software issue. As promised, we fixed the problem within the timeframe we provided.

We always strive to provide the best service possible, and we appreciate your understanding.

They have a phone and answer it

They have a phone and answer it! Email notices about shipping were prompt. Phone was good and as described. Shipped promptly. It came very late, but that was Australia Post, who left it sitting at Seymour for several weeks, so no reflection on Robotech.

Quality phone

Quick easy delivery.
s21 Ultra was in great condition.
Even received a free bumper case when they couldn't supply the colour initially wanted.

Poor shipping practices

I ordered a phone with express shipping which said delivery in 2 business days. Unfortunately, my package was not sent until 3 business days later which meant I was waiting 6 business days. The reason for delayed posting was apparently that I was in a different city at the time of ordering to where I needed the phone to be delivered so if you're ever needing to order for friends or family in different locations to you don't use this site. I then was asked to email my ID to verify my address and then I had to follow up by phone to ensure they have received this as I did not receive a reply from the company (apparently it had gone to spam). When the package was finally posted it was sent with the incorrect phone number attached to the order recipient through AusPost so when the package arrive to AusPost parcel lockers I was unable to access the package without AusPost staff's assistance because you need a phone number. The whole process was the most complicated shipping process I have ever experienced and I purchase things online regularly. Due to this I wont be purchasing from roobotech again. I will say all the customer service staff I spoke to responded efficiently and were friendly - my disappointment lies with the shipping process.

The phone I ordered was classed as "A grade" - I'm happy with how it works, there was a few small scratches on the phone but that is what I expected. The battery health was 88% and I am happy with the product and price. If you live local to the store and have the option of purchasing in person I would recommend this over ordering online.

Service great, but

Service was great, everything happened in a very timely manner, unfortunately the product had several faults, was sold to us as A grade (as new) refurbished computer, it had a 30 minute battery life, and within 2 minutes of turning it on it got that hot that it would burn your fingers to touch it, good part was they did refund in a timely manner but held back 5% of purchase price, 5% of postage paid by me and I had to pay postage to return faulty item.

Great phone, great price, fast delivery

Galaxy S22 Ultra arrived very quickly, in better condition than expected. No scratches - it looked like a brand new phone. Charger and cable included. It was well packaged in a generic box, with foam protection surrounding the phone.

Set-up was exactly the same as for a brand new phone. Connected perfectly with my carrier using the eSim.

Would definitely buy from these guys again.

Good experience

Fast delivery, ordered a S22 Ultra with 256mb of memory and received 512mb. The phone has a couple of scratches on the side but given the condition of the rest of the phone and the extra memory, I'm a happy customer.
