WORST Grass seed ever! Emapthy Suprmeme Green With Root Grow by Plantworks

Where do I begin?
Initially purchased 1KG of Empathy Supreme Green grass seed (with Root Grow) from my local garden centre £15.99 thinking it was a premium grass seed.
Prepared a repaired lawn area of approx. 3 square metres, topped with new quality topsoil/loam and sand mix, sewed the seeds as per the instructions...lightly raking over and rolling.
I thinly over-sewed areas of the existing lawn with the remaining seeds.
I also planted some seeds in a pot to monitor germination.
Watered twice daily, and waited...
(in the mean time I (foolishly) ordered another 2 x 1KG bags of the same seed to over-seed the whole lawn area of approx. 100 square metres) waited...Waited and NOTHING after 14days!
So I contacted the manufacturer to check if the batch number I originally purchased was out of date (no date on bag, only a batch number) and was told it should be OK, but they would send me a replacement bag free of charge. Great service I thought.
By now the 2 x additional bags I purchased on-line had arrived (two different batch numbers, one of which was the same as the original bag), so I re-seeded the repair area and over- seeded the whole lawn again, (and planted a sample of each new bag in pots) watering daily as necessary and waited....and waited another 14 days, NOTHING! not a single seed had visibly germinated anywhere, not on the lawn, not in the sample pots. and nothing since.
So I have spent a lot of time and money on seeds, soil and sand topdressing and got absolutely nothing in return.
I have subsequently checked the ph (7.5) and all is well there...
I also took some seeds from the latest bag sent as a replacement, and planted in a pot. Same result non have germinated.
So, To say that I am extremely disappointed in this grass seed would be an understatement.
I have sewn lawns in the past (even without such meticulous preparation) and never had an issue.
The person I spoke to at Plantworks was helpful, although I was surprised that he commented "you haven't covered the seeds have you?" which conflicts with the sewing instructions and normal practice. I told him that I had lightly raked in the repair area, so there was a mix of both covered and uncovered seeds.
So in conclusion I have used (and partly used) 4 bags of their "Supreme" seed, with 3 different batch codes, and none germinated at all. Brilliant!!
Absolute garbage product. Selling 100% dead seeds at a premium price. Well done Plantworks.
