Shambolic

WITHOUT PREJUDICE
I wish I had read the review left by Mrs Rose, my experience was not too dissimilar. Until the point you sign their contract of engagement, very proactive, but thereafter you are at god's mercy if Mr Muir or indeed any of the other people in that firm ever return your calls or emails. Bottom line is, my opinion, is if you value your sanity or money go to more reputable firms and stay away from cowboy outfits.

Dreadful Experience

Instructed Valerie Lyal in January 2017 to conduct conveyance of property to daughter and son-in-law. Explained son in law had cancer and wanted date of entry to be 30/5/2017. On 29 May, as I had no communication from Mrs Lyall, I visited the office. Mrs Lyall was off on holiday’ without finalising the sale. Wrote to Michael Ford, Senior Partner, outlining my concerns. Received short letter advising he had passed my letter to Stephen Muir. The next date of entry was 14 July, the conveyance now being undertaken by Stephen Muir. This date of entry was also breeched. Advised Sol son-in-Law was deteriorating and matter was now urgent. Next date of entry for August was also breached. I have all emails and letters from this Co - including the one from Stephen Muir advising he was ‘off to his son’s prize giving and party.....Transferred business to another Sol who completed the conveyance in 6 weeks even though Ross Strachan would not forward Title Deeds till we signed to pay Ross Strachan fees. Fees were charged at £1300! Son in law died on 25 October 2017. I instructed this firm as Valerie Lyall had conducted my previous conveyance satisfactory.............
