These strings have a really warm and precise sound, and suit very well my cello. I already had a D string from Rostanvo for years (good match with an A from Evah Pirazzi Gold, btw), so I wanted to try the Rostanvo combo A+D.

I am responding to a second reminder to review my Rostanvo experience although it is now a calendar month since I ordered my strings and I have received nothing. The payment (that added up to a significant increase in $ on my last order) left my credit card one month ago but still no strings. This delay happened last time too. I really like these strings but will likely have to reconsider my options for the future. I mean really - there's a lot of options out there these days...

Rostanvo are exceptional strings. I had a great setup on my cello but decided to take the plunge. The power has lifted the cello from a nice, polite, old English lady into an instrument that could easily sing out over a full orchestra. I initially judged one or two of the strings as too strident and harsh, but my opinion has quickly changed. I am absolutely delighted with them! Definitely worth purchasing!

Thanks to everyone at Rostanvo. After getting extensive feedback from a worker at Rostanvo about how these strings might work on a carbon fiber cello, I bought all four strings. The rosin came as a gift. I like the rosin so far and the strings may have reduced a wolf tone that has been bothering me. Maybe the tone is warmer? A 5 star experience.

Well, this is strange. I ordered an A string, it arrived quickly enough, and it's really good - after playing for a couple of weeks I am actually delighted with it.

Then I went back to their site to place another order, and it had gone! The site has been totally unresponsive for a fortnight now. Email to them is also bouncing.

I'm giving them a good review because if this is a temporary glitch and they come back again, I will almost certainly be ordering again. And if not, it makes no difference what I write because nobody else will be ordering from them either. I wish them the best, either way.

No strings, no information. I'm sorry for writing for this company. I'm disappointed. It has been a mount already but no replies so far. Sorry rostanvo.

I have not reviewed the product yet. I emailed the Rostanvo and so far I have not received any response. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to deliver and I am on 4th week waiting.
I can’t rate the product.

It’s been a rainy few days, both in UK as well as in Belgium. But it’s wintertime, so to be expected. The package arrived completely soaked. And as there was no plastic or bubblewrap inside, so did the strings. This can’t be good for them, even though they are metal.

The A and D string work well on my cello.

No strings, no customer service. I ordered strings on August 24th. I’m out 172 eu, and as of September 21st, have not received them. I’ve written to them four times, and they have never responded. I would not order from this site.

I know the strings are fantastic because I’ve ordered them before, and I really don’t want to give a negative review, but it is coming up on a year of unreturned emails and still no strings. Again, the strings are great and I’ve had a great experience with the company for years prior, but my last order was never fulfilled.

I ordered the strings a month ago, I still haven't received them, they don't tell me when my strings will arrive, they don't answer my messages, I paid for some strings and I don't know if I'm going to receive them. They are not a reliable company.

Ordered a set of Rostanvo strings on the Friday 10th March and they came the following Tuesday. That are a revelation. I have a 1932 E H Roth German cello which had a Larsen/Spirocore combination which produced a really good sound, but the Rostanvos have brought out a bigger and much more colourful sound. I cannot recommend these strings enough and, given that they come with a money back guarantee, I can see no reason not to try them and see if you get the same result.
