Do I really have to leave one star

Do I really have to leave one star? I have had a claim for ‘review’ since the beginning of January. I submitted all the documents requested and each week have been asked for extra documents, some of which I have already submitted. Each time a further evidence is requested I am told it will be an extra 5 working days, then my portal is updated with a date further ahead, often 10 plus working days. It seems reading reviews this is the norm! I have no idea how this company can legally be in operation. If only I realised that the insurer I booked with, who had good reviews, handed claims to these cowboys!

Delay and procrastination. If they could have a negative score that would be -1. Would never use them again, a total waste of my insurance premium.

DO NOT use Right Path claims!!!!

DO NOT use Right Path claims, they make it impossible to carry out a simple, straightforward claim. So far I’m on about the tenth attempt at uploading the “correct” “clear” documents, a process that is so utterly painful and time consuming. For what effectively is a tiny claim! I missed a flight due to being admitted to hospital, I’ve submitted my flight/travel receipts, proof of no show from the airline and hospital admission/discharge letter. But no, still not enough, I’m having to download further forms and upload yet another bank statement. All for a minuscule amount of money. This company is a JOKE. Out of principle I am persevering as they clearly use this infuriating tactic to deter people so they eventually give up. Spare yourself and go elsewhere for travel insurance.

Lack of Communicationand Online Only

My friend became ill and we had to cancel our holiday. I would give them O stars if I could. It took a whole afternoon to fill in the form and a second form arrived online as if I were the person who was ill. Since I paid 2K for yearly travel insurance, to include the USA and was only to be in Europe, through,'Insure For Travel'I'll be ditching them all at the end of the year. Questions, such as times stated within a 15 minute slot had to be filled in. My friend was in agony and couldn't begin to stipulate exact times of the day when various thiings occurred.

Unfair Claim Refusal – Escalated to Ombudsman

I submitted a valid claim with all the medical paperwork I was given by the doctor while abroad. Despite this, the insurer has refused to process my claim, demanding a medical report that I was never issued and therefore cannot provide.

It is unreasonable to expect customers to supply documents that do not exist, especially when full medical evidence has already been provided. This feels like an unfair way to avoid paying out on a genuine claim.

I have now escalated my complaint to the Ombudsman due to the way this has been handled.

Dreadful! Avoid!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE COVER!
I have been waiting for compensation now for 15 months for hospital fees I had to pay in Cyprus.
We contacted Rightpath and sent all the documents and evidence that they asked for...twice! I kept having to chase them up for a decision and constantly being told the claim is being assessed. Then they'd ask for all my documents again, which I provided again!
Called them numerous times with them saying I'd be hearing back in next 2/3 days. Again nothing.
To top it all, I received an email today asking for a form to be filled in and signed by my GP and asking me another 20 questions they'd never asked before?
In all the 15 months I've been waiting, they are using stalling tactics to pee off not just me but their other clients; its quite evident that this is their tactic , read it in other experiences on here!
So if you want to be insured , dont use Rightpath - You are paying for nothing as theyre obviously trying to avoid paying anything out.
I've just informed them that I shall be taking this up with the Financial Ombudsman...lets see what happens next!

I had to cancel my holiday because of…

I had to cancel my holiday because of family bereavement - covered in the policy. I contacted them and they sent me an email with a " portal " to input all the relevant information. Didn't work ...... So I rang them, - don't work at weekends. Rang on the Monday and conversation occurred, positive, I was able to send documents via post. A week later and an email asking for more documents ( some I'd already sent,) plus a copy of the death certificate. Duly sent. Since then I've not had any communication, nothing, nada. 3 emails I've sent and no acknowledgement. Getting rather fed up now. I lost someone who was like a sister to me. She'd been in my life all my life, and I don't need this stress on top of grieving. I've since read reviews and sadly it doesn't look like I'm alone in my experience. Update ... I get an email from them. This time they want a medical certificate. I can understand to a point that they want to know if my relative was diagnosed as terminally ill - she wasn't. They sent me a link to download the forms. First paragraph is ... Asking for her to sign consent...... She's dead, and cremated, could be a problem fulfilling that bit !! So I've forwarded the link to her rather bemused Gp. Await further updates !!
Update - Gp contacted me, as I thought, they do NOT complete medical certificates for deceased persons ... So I rang the insurance underwriters again, to give them word for word what the Gp told me. That under no circumstances do they write a medical certificate for a deceased person. That after a death, the notes are sent to a central storage place, and unless needed by coroner, police etc, they are not available to a travel insurance underwriters !! I was also told that a death certificate is ample information. The woman at the underwriters didn't know what to say to that. I'm sure they'll come up with something else. More updates to come I'm sure.

Do NOT TAKE OUT a POLICY

I was part of a group of 18 who went to the States for an American Sports tour in Nov 2024. Great trip, great company. We do it every year. Coming back the fun happens. Flying from Cincinnati to JFK to catch our homeward flight to LHR, our flight was delayed due to a late passenger and then the aircraft had to be de-iced as a precaution. That meant we
were late getting into JFK causing us to miss the LHR flight. I am the only person out of the 18 whom the insurance company would not compensate. The excuse? If it had been due to a taxi or a bus delay they would pay out! What a shower of gangsters and thieves! I'm disgusted by their decision and subsequent dealings with them. I would not recommend them even to my biggest and worst enemy. I've told them that I will recommend all my friends and acquaintances to boycot them and I will do the same on social media as well. Shower of THIEVES!

Utterly ridiculous service and company

Fell on holiday in our hotel room and spent two nights in hospital. I had a beer with my meal 6.5/7 hours prior to the incident. They claimed any alcohol drunk in 24 hours cancelled my claim. A beer having an effect hours before? Took them 5 weeks to respond to my email and after chasing with 4 further emails and multiple phone calls they just said we are sorry of the outcome. I could have left the beer out when they asked and it would have had better chance of being paid.

Terrible company

Terrible company . Cancelled my holiday as had a anxiety attack at the airport. I had put down anxiety as a pre existing medical condition . My GP has confirmed to them that it was medically necessary for me to cancel. They have received my cancellation email from easyjet. All other documents they have asked for, they have received . But still asking for impossible evidence as they said in their opinion if you have a medical emergency you would see your GP the same time, I don't see my GP everything I have an anxiety attack but they don't seem to believe me. I first made my claim on the 12th September and still they are trying to find ways to not pay me . Absolutely disgusting company. I never use again
