Company won't stand by faulty Paragon 6 heated gloves

Because my previous RST gloves were so good (wiring went after a lot of years, but I still use them in spring and autumn) I bought the Paragon 6. During my second winter the lights flashed and they stopped heating. Replaced under warranty. Replacements did exactly the same thing after 4 months. That took them out of the original warranty period so RST WILL NOT REPLACE even though it is clearly a manufacturing fault or quality issue and the product is not of merchantable quality.

Rubbish Paragon 6 heated gloves.

Paragon 6 heated gloves are absolutely rubbish! I bought a pair that failed after 6 months. They just stopped working, not the battery but the wiring system. They just wouldn't switch on. I bought another thinking I may have just been unlucky with a faulty pair, but after 4 months the second pair also failed, same thing. Do not buy them, do not trust RST products.

RST INeMOTION airbag kit is a…

RST INeMOTION airbag kit is a nightmare, why do RST associate with a company with shockingly poor customer service, I bought an RST jacket in good faith, just to find that the airbag system within is not supported from a customer service perspective, with punitive costs just to resolve matters, disgraceful product and shame on RST for supporting their product

Poor locking mechanism

I bought a pair of Adventure X CE boots 5 months ago. They’ve had little use. The fastening straps are very poor. The serated strap on one boot is loose when the boot is undone. Such that it’s fallen out. Lost. I’ve emailed RST but they haven’t replied. Bad form. All I’m after is a couple of spare straps.

RST Tracktech evo5 textile jacket

Overall I am impressed with this jacket it fits well but be warned it is NOT 100% waterproof. I got caught in a 4 hour rainstorm whilst riding on a motorway and for the first 2 1/2 everything was dry but then the arms eventually started leaking water (but my torso did remain dry). I know if you ride in the rain for long enough water will eventually get through but when RST advertise this jacket as waterproof you expect it to be waterproof, especially as it was brand-new. So, if you plan to go touring wearing this jacket, take some waterproofs.

Extremely poor product and experience from management

I purchased a pair of boots 24th November 2023 and has had the zip fail April 2024. Supposedly melted the nylon zip on the exhaust.
When I phoned to discuss the claim the manager became aggressive, obstructive and plain right rude.
Eventually put me through to a colleague, who helped, but not understanding in the situation.
I stated this was a design fault, as you should never have a nylon zip open next to the engine, which they couldn’t understand.
I have been riding bikes for some 40+ years, had issues from time to time with other manufacturers who have dealt with the issue, unlike RST.
My personal experience is that I’d never recommend a manufacturer who one can’t deal with customers correctly, secondly who don’t recognise poor design in the product.

Can't work out if RST stands for Really…

Can't work out if RST stands for Really Soggy Torso or Really Soggy Toes....both unfortunately.

Really wanted to support this brand....home grown...family business....but can't.

Bought a full kit boots suit and gloves....the heated gloves are superb. Other than that the boots and suit are very poor. The quality amd function of the zips are absolutely appalling....the lower zip on the trousers has got stuck unzipping them about 80% of the time leaving me stuck in them.....on one occasion for over an hour until the wife got home. Must use smaller tooth less chunky zips. All the zips on my Dainese suit that this was supposed to replace work with one hand every time without an issue. SORT IT OUT RST !!!!!!

Bought a pair of RST Adventure X boots…

Bought a pair of RST Adventure X boots at J&S, Aberdeen, in the autumn of 2023, ready for winter riding. Every time I head out in wet weather, the boots leak badly, leaving the soles, inside, soaking. These are advertised as being waterproof on their website, what ever the conditions. I now have to wear waterproof sealskin socks with them to keep my feet warm and dry. Given their price and what they are advertised as, this is a very poor product and not worth the money at all and has put me right off RST as a manufacturer I can trust.

RST Adventure-X Boots

I bought some RST Adventure-X Boots, they where really comfortable, offered good protection and came in at a reasonable price. After about a month of wear, the material on top where the toes bend starting splitting on both boots, it was clearly a manufacturing fault, this should not happen under general wear, especially not in such a short time frame. They were sent back to RST who refused to accept fault and refused to do anything about it.
