I’m quite a new runner and i developed tendinitis. I attended weekly classes which really suited me. Nigel explains everything and shares his wealth of knowledge. I’ve learned about the significance of moving symmetrically to improve my gait. How to build strength, as well as the importance of mobilising our joints to improve form and efficiency. I feel more confident in my running and I’d highly recommend this run true course to others.

I have struggled with running injuries, especially with my knees, and thought I would try the Run True course; I could not be happier. Three months after completing the online course I am still running pain free and flying again. Every exercise is clearly explained and, combined with improvements to running gait, will help keep you injury free and enjoying your runs again

I loved this course! Nigel is very knowledgeable and passionate about this system. If you put in the homework, you will get the results 😁 Excellent value for money with all the online content too.

I’d heard a lot of positive feedback from Nigel’s run true course so thought I’d give it a go. Having been plagued by a pain in the buttocks for nearly 5 years, trying various failed physio sessions, endless you tube tutorials, I knew something was wrong with the way I was running. Nigel’s course was like a breath of fresh air. We started at the beginning with simple movement and drills to moving like a baboon at the end. The movements seemed somewhat alien at first but with repetition everything started to feel like how it should feel. The weekly sessions were brilliant, especially with the on line tutorials on hand for reference. I’m already feeling the difference. My running seems lighter yet stronger with more propulsion than ever. My buttock pain is reducing and I know this will be my blueprint for running true until I’m 100+ years old.

If you are looking for a system of movements that will improve your running, no matter what level of runner you are, then you should sign up to Nigel Crompton’s Run True System.
I used to run 10Ks & Half Marathons, but I never set the world alight. I then had an extended break from running which lasted several years. Once I became inspired to run again (also check out the book – Race Against Time by Richard Askwith which is also where I first heard of Nigel), I decided that I needed to improve my movement and technique rather that just bash out the miles without any noticeable gain.
Having completed the relatively short 6-week course, I have already seen improvement in my pace over distance and I honestly believe that there is more to come if I continue with the learned system of movements that cover warmups, strength and mobility.
I feel that the course with its running specific movement patterns is transforming me from a jogger into a runner, so my new goal is to achieve a 10K PB at an age where my best years should be behind me. I will update this review in late Spring 2024 to let you know how I get on…

This is an excellent progressive course to reawaken the running muscles your brain had forgotten you had. I’ve just completed the face to face course and found the on-line course a perfect companion to check I was correctly doing the exercises.
Nigel understands how not getting injured while staying active is key to maintaining your healthspan (the number of years you remain healthy and active). I’m late 60’s and planning running London Marathon in 2024, but just being able to enjoy walking fast for 40 minutes is such a delight. I am a retired GP and would have recommended this course be available on prescription. Use it or we lose it

I have been dealing with posture-related running issues that have worsened in the last 2 years. Not happy with the orthotics route suggested by physios, I chose Run True seeking to improve my form from a more fundamental level. I felt that correcting my movement patterns was the answer rather than relying on something I had to then wear in all my shoes going forward.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. I participated in-person and found the sessions engaging and useful with all learned movements being running specific. Additional available online content has really helped me to remember moves and keep me practising at home. I like Nigel's friendly but succinct teaching as it helped me to focus and to know exactly where I was going wrong.
My running form has already improved in 6 short weeks and while I still have a way to go till what I have learnt becomes second nature, I now have a fantastic toolbox at my disposal to keep me on an upward (or should I say forward) trajectory.
I highly recommend this course to any runner. Even if you aren't plagued by injury this is a fantastic way to build good running form.

I completed the Run true course and found it massively helpful after struggling with running injuries. It's easy to follow, clear and I have been able to run completely pain free. I've noticed great improvement in my foot mobility and it's allowed me to increase my mileage without picking up niggles like before. Couldn't recommend it enough!

The Run True course is amazing, it has given me an understanding of how to use all of my body effectively. No more knee pain when running, my gait has improved. The course gives a greater awareness of what to do when running, all the way up the body from using my feet to the position of my head, Nigel tells us what to do with everything to be more efficient. The course I completed was delivered face 2 face in a small group which allowed for discussion.
A set of different techniques are demonstrated and then we practice each one. Each session is 1 hour a week. My running has definitely improved, I have increased speed because of my technique, I'm not suffering with knee pain.

Over the 6 face to face sessions the course built as did our flexibility and new way of thinking about running and the warming up for it. The real test will be in the 7th session were we are filmed. But already feel better in my own sessions. Would thoroughly recommend to people who might even be thinking about it

I’ve done the 6-week face-to-face course, the online video courses and a consultation regarding a long term hip injury. Nigel really knows his stuff! The exercises are well presented and Nigel explains why the movements work for runners. Following the course has certainly improved my running. I’m faster and injury free for the first time in a long time. And Nigel’s advice and exercises for the old hip injury has resulted in no pain for the best part of 6 months.
Whether you’re a serious runner or just enjoy taking part, I’d recommend the Run True course to improve and, most of all, stay injury-free.
I’d also recommend The Runner’s Hub store in Heswall (Wirral, UK) for brilliant buying advice for running shoes. Gait analysis; lots of shoes to try on, including running on the treadmill, and great advice about the right shoe for the running you do.
I can’t recommend highly enough!

I'm 58 ,recently retired to the Lake district and taken up fell running in the last year.
I noticed in photos that I was hunched over and looked like I was shuffling rather than running ,so when I saw Run True it seemed it would address my requirement to improve my running form and efficiency.
I have just completed the 7 weeks online course which I would recommend to every runner .
Educational ,motivational ,well presented with videos and downloads of exemplary quality and clarity.
It will explain how to run Injury free and become a stronger, faster runner.
Without question the best running investment you could make .

The six week on-line RunTrue course put vitality back into my running that I thought had gone for good. I'm in my early sixties and recently returned to running after several decades not running. I had been a keen runner as a junior and into my early twenties, I remembered what it felt like to run quickly and freely, but to begin I was just shuffling or jogging along, the old running mechanics were simply not there. Through the course I worked on improving posture to re-enable an efficient running action and, with strength and mobility work in the course all focussed explicitly on running, the spring in my step is back!

I'm a 62 male who's been running 3-4 times per week for 40 years. My running mojo was waning as I slowed down after a stress fracture. Obviously I was going to slow with age but the age grade calculator indicated I was slowing down more than I wanted. Was I heading towards life as a non runner? Hoping for inspiration I read Richard Askwith's "Race against Time" and he alluded to the help of Nigel and his RunTrue process. I signed up for the online course. Five months later I'm enjoying running again and embracing a new running mode, even at this late stage. I've ditched stretching after 30 years of diligently performing it after runs, ( it never seemed to help with injuries anyway), and I seem to have rediscovered some spring in my old legs. I'm still a work in progress and have to think of my head, feet, hips, arms when I run in an attempt to get the correct form. However, it's fun and I have some running goals again. Sign up to the course. You won't regret it.

Last year I replaced a lifelong stretching routine with the balance, strength and mobility exercises practiced at run true.
Since then I've been able to run far more efficiently and with significantly less of the usual niggles that come with distance running.
For most of my earlier running life I was constantly battling the same injuries or being put out of the game altogether, sometimes for even years on end.
Being competitive and determined often meant I would carry on running through these injuries, thinking they would magically disappear and that they were part and parcel of the sport.
I've been able to wave goodbye to all that through the routines I've learned during the run true workshops.
I would highly recommend this to any runner who finds themselves hitting the injury wall regularly.

By watching the course ‘Forgotten Feet’ last night
I learned a great amount regarding my feet, and how to do foot exercises to help a couple of problems I have had for many years. The course was very well explained and easy to follow, with a useful pdf also. At 74 I’m looking forward to the full Run True course, and to running to my full potential regarding mobility, avoiding injury and good form before moving up an age group next year and being competitive.

The Run True course is a fantastic course for runners of all abilities. I completed the course almost 18 months ago and I can honestly say what I learned on the course has transformed my running. My strength and mobility have improved markedly and so far I have been injury free. Whether you're a sprinter or a longer distance endurance runner, this is the course for you.

I completed the run true programme about 18months ago when I was just starting to get into running properly and I’m so glad I did . It gave me an understanding to not only prevent injury but to improve my running ability. I always recommend this course to any runner whether they are new to ruining or someone who has been running for years .

Course is very informative and well paced (no pun intended). Suitable for all runners of any levels. I have gained so much strength and mobility from this course and applying the techniques taught.

I did the Run True 6 week course shortly after retirement from the NHS about 12 months ago. My aim was to continue being able to run despite advancing years. The movements from the course really helped my strength, motivation and form and I was inspired to enter a challenging trail marathon.
In the past I have competed at this distance but have found that cramp in my hamstrings has blighted each event. This time I used movements from the course to strengthen myself and for the first time did not suffer with cramp (despite a really hot day) and was pleased to come first in my age category. Thank you Run True
