I was a bit concerned after ordering from Rush Market and then seeing the negative reviews, but I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by the product that I received. I ordered a headboard for my daughter's sorority house and received exactly what I ordered in a brand new/never opened box. This headboard had been previously listed on Tar-jay for $95, and I got it for $54 on Rush Market. I will buy from again if I see a deal that looks good to me.

They are getting one star only because I can't give less. I have spent over $2000 and loved them when they were in West Des Moines but I will never order from them again now that I can't see what I'm getting. They advertise items as "open box - new condition" but that's not what you get. I got an outdoor umbrella that had clearly been used - paint scraped off, rusted, and stained fabric. Google what you get because you will often times find it cheaper somewhere else, and new. Does NOT fit their description of "open box - new condition" right on their website. I purchased it at the end of the season so I put it away and was shocked the condition it was in when I got it out this spring. I emailed them and CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS THE WORST AND VERY RUDE! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Directly from their website: "First of all, do not confuse the term “open-box'' with “used”. Open-box items are likely a returned product for reasons like, size, color or simply because the customer changed their mind. Our team inspects every item we receive in an effort to create the best shopping experience for you. Also, in an effort to cut down on waste, we reuse packaging when able. Open box shopping is not only good for your wallet, it’s good for the environment too!"

Buyers beware, items are listed as open box and final sale. Items are listed with out damage. I spent $500 on a coffee table, it arrived dented on two sides and paint was bubbled-it will open up soon. The company refused to accept a return , they said I needed to spend $100 to send it back. If items were listed with some damage and the price was reflected, I would accept this, but this is not how the item was presented. Now I understand why there are so many bad reviews.

I was super skeptical because I had read reviews AFTER placing an order. They got me with the whole “Only one left in stock, order within 18 minutes” thing 🤣 But my order arrived today and it was fantastic! There was a little minor damage on it, but it was an open box deal so I expected it. Very transparent and I like that. All I know is they saved me $50 dollars on the item and the picture looks amazing in my living room. Will be ordering from them again!

My First Time Ordering From This Company And When I Finally Received it. It Looked Like the whole Table Has Been Dropped On The Floor. also A lot Of Scratches on it just Old looking Like They Got It from The trash Can. Take My advice Don.t Waste Your Money And Time.

I was leary to order based upon reviews but gave it a shot. I ordered 2 light fixtures. One has a scratch but you can't see it when installed. I didn't receive the other and when I inquired, they said that they couldn't fulfill my order and issued a refund. Seems like thay have inventory control issues. A 50% success rate on my first purchase guarantees that I won't be a return customer.

Do not order from this company. The photos they advertise are not the same as the product they send you. Ridiculous return policy even if your bedding comes damaged. CHEAP products and poor customer service. Buyer beware.

If I could give them a lower score I would have!!! I ordered a chair from them- small recliner. I ordered a grey chair and the chair was sold as grey. When it arrived it was BLUE! They agreed and said you ordered BLUE! I have nothing blue in my home! Why would I order blue??? Checked and rechecked the order. I am a Registered Nurse and I’m not illiterate. Customer service or the lack thereof was non-existent. There is little help for the consumer any longer. I cried. I should have sued in small claims but… more money out in these hard times! I cannot remember the exact date but was in Nov, 2023 I believe. It appeared to me that they never had the chair I ordered, so they sent what they had! Nauseating company to deal with. They said they would take it back but I had to pay for shipping both return and redelivery which I thought to be grossly unfair. I try to steer people from these businesses.

Just going on record here… got really excited about this credenza I found on The Rush Market’s site for $436.99 that they *claimed* was worth $622. Then I did a little digging and found the EXACT PIECE at The Home Depot for $449.81 BRAND NEW.

So they’re marking up the “compare at” prices so that they can charge close to the brand new price for opened (and sometimes damaged) items they’re probably receiving for pennies from the warehouses themselves ????

Aka, lying and stealing. Things my 3-year-old knows are wrong.

Shady, shady, shady. So unethical and gross.

Just honestly makes me sad, as someone who believes wholeheartedly in the sustainability of second-hand.

I have been searching for a ceiling light in a discontinued color (the Ingalls Medium schoolhouse light in gold) to match one I found a couple years ago on Wayfair, and The Rush Market had one in stock. I worried based on the reviews on this site, but since it was just one light and their Facebook page seemed legit (appears to be one of those companies that buys pallets of Wayfair/overstock/amazon/target returns and resells them— which could mean some items aren’t in perfect condition), I took a risk and ordered it. Success! Helpful email communication and it arrived on time via FedEx 4 days later, wrapped in original styrofoam, perfect condition as described. And now I have two matching lights <3

This company is not at all trustworthy.

We ordered a couch through Rush Market, and only 5 out of the 6 expected boxes were delivered. Over a week later, we finally received the other box. However, none of these boxes contained the back cushions for our couch. Customer service was very unhelpful and unapologetic. The only thing they could offer was a partial refund. So we were left with a couch with no cushions. Do not order through them.

Took my money and never sent me the furniture I ordered. Finally emailed me and told me I was out of stock. I am still waiting for my money back. Ridiculous company do not give them your business.

Beaware of this company. they are the looters and thugs. they show one quality item and send other incomplete garbage. be careful while buying from this site.

I discovered this site a few months ago when I saw they were selling a lamp I wanted at a deep discount because it was an open box item. Delivery was quick and the quality of the item was perfect. I have since ordered several more items and have been impressed by this company. Returns are easy: Last month I ordered an area rug which turned out to not be a good fit for my decor. I immediately received a label and the return shipping was very reasonable, even for an oversized item. Customer service is prompt and courteous: My last order for a lamp arrived damaged in shipping. Again, I received a fast reply and an immediate refund. I'm so glad I took a chance on rushmarket.com!
