I’ve been buying epoxymastic for more than 20y. I’ve still bits that were painted back then that are still good that have been outside all this time. Brushing is more effective than spraying I’ve found. I’ve also used phos Kleen and rust buster fe-123 all have worked well.

I use the 123 rust converter on a model engine which was left in a garden for 20 years. Scrapped off the worst rust and applied a coat - within 24 hours all rust was converted. Made painting so easy. Tried another product previously that did nothing. By far the best I have found.

£1700 spent on rust proofing (EM121 Epoxy) on 10/07/2020.
Needed welding for mot this year.

Wow. What a complete bullying bellwhack you are. You have harassed me via phone calls and email to remove this review. And now you are accusing me of lying.

So here are some facts:

I am in the possession of a receipt for £1700 dated 10/07/20 for so called "rust proofing " treatment from rustbuster. The receipt has your address, your logo, your telephone number, your email address, your VAT reg number and your Company registration number.

This year's MOT (3 years after "treatment") stated "Offside Front Lower Suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded...."

Your asinine attempts at intimidation will not change FACTS.

Being a 'first time' car restorer it was vitally important to me that I had technical support and advice readily available. Chris at Rust Buster was my saviour and adviser on numerous occasions. Whether by phone or email I had a quick response which was both detailed and informative. Thanks Chris.

Didn't think this would work but it works so much better and instant than vinegar. Had some very rusted weights (see photo) and sprayed it on and it DISSOLVED the rust and converted it. THe science is unbelievable.

The following is a response from Rustbuster who are registered as ISO9001 after a Hot Fog rust proofing process was carried out on my Motorhome.
“Firstly please accept my apologies for these missed areas.”(missed by technician and quality control).
“Whilst ever care is taken to make sure we don’t miss anything it can happen and this is why we supply a Rustproofing Maintenance Kit FOC.” (Contract states free touch up kit is for “This will allow you to touch any repairs to the rust proofing disturbed or scrapped when replacing tyres exhaust etc.”)
“The area of Underbody can be touched up using the Techshield Underbody Wax, the Cavity that you are showing will have cavity wax inside,this only needs to be a nano layer as per our method of heating the wax.”(even if the presumption was correct I am still expected to carry out work which I have paid Rustbuster Ltd to do!).
“We will or course re-coat these areas and cavities during the annual inspection”. (The annual inspection is charged at £50 +vat which is a charge I have already paid for in the Rustproofing process).

Did not find FE 123 rust converter worked. Definitely followed instructions despite them saying after many emails that I did not.
It might work under ideal conditions but I don't think it's suitable for DIY as application restrictions are too excessive. eg can't use on bright steel, only fuly rusted areas after degreasing and cleaning with powered wire brush It's difficult to tell when working under wing if car isn't on a lift what can or can't be coated so then you have to treat the good areas with something else.
Upshot was I had to remove all previous work, use Built Hamber Hyrate 80, its cheaper and entire panel can be coated regardless of rust level.
