They stole my $1000 security deposit…

They stole my $1000 security deposit for a rental RV.

Trying to get my money for more then a month already. All they are saying it was a hold. Sending them all the official bank statements, contacted my bank, money was charged and never got back. They keep saying they never had my money.

I put my RV on their website for rent

I put my RV on their website for rent. It took two weeks for my trailer to be active on their website. There is no way to contact them other than email. I emailed them to see what the holdup was and they never emailed me back. BIG RED FLAG! It finally went active and I got a potential renter who wanted it on a certain date. I modified the request noting the dates it was available. I heard nothing until yesterday morning with a text saying the request had expired. I went on the website to update information and the person trying to rent had sent a message stating he still wanted to rent my trailer. I hit the decline button think that was the end of it. That evening the guy showed up at my door!!! I explained to him that I had not received anything except the notice that the request had expired and his message from earlier today. He still thought he could rent it and I said I don't have a contract with you through rvrentals.com. I apologized for the lack of communication and that there was nothing I could do because there is no rental agreement. He was actually not that angry or upset. Another red flag, as I would have been very angry if I were him. I don't know whether rvrentals.com is to blame or this guy was attempting to steal my trailer. The lack of being able to contact a live person at rvrentals.com is a major problem. Furthermore, this guy had my full name and show up at my address without a rental agreement. How could he get my address? Rvrentals.com gave him my address without having any rental agreement. This company is run by Camping World, another red flag. I will not rent to anybody through rvrentals.com in the future. They need to have a better support structure, better communication and they should NOT be giving out addresses until the renter has been fully vetted, approved, and a rental contract has been approved by BOTH the renter and the RV owner. My advice. STAY AWAY from rvrentals.com. They are very unprofessional and they could potentially put you, your family, and your RV at risk. I will not rent through them! Goodbye and good riddance rvrentals.com.

Predatory Company

Predatory Company. Beware!

RVRentals.com makes you request a rental for an RV before knowing whether it is available or whether the seller is willing to rent it. They also make you provide your financial information and credit card before making an inquiry, so you can’t just inquire into a rental or reserve without giving your credit card. I found one RV that a seller accepted the request for the weekend and the full amount of $1,250 was automatically deducted which included the delivery and pick up. I cancelled four hours later because I no longer needed it and the seller refused to issue a refund. This was crazy because it was only four hours after the initial request.

Due to their predatory policy which allows sellers and the company to keep 100% of all fees including delivery and pickup unless you cancel within TWO HOURS of making the request, not when the seller accepts or denies. The seller refused to respond to any communication afterward and the company said that they were not responsible per their two hour cancellation policy.

While this is not illegal, their cancellation policy is EXTREMELY complicated and there are several policies that will apply depending on the days and even hours you request a rental. Their cancellation policy is highly predatory and unreasonable and this seller who is a realtor in Reno, NV was able to keep the entire amount including the pickup and delivery fees for a total of $1250 despite me cancelling only four hours after making the request, NOT four hours from him even accepting. He immediately opted to take out the whole amount from my account, and I never heard from him again despite my several attempts to reach him.

Therefore, BEWARE if you are thinking of renting an RV from here, and read ALL of the fine print, especially the cancellation policy, because they will take the money out of your account or charge your card when you make a request and it is extremely difficult to get your money back or cancel in a way that you will get a refund.

I would highly recommend using another company that is reputable and not an online third party leasing website.

The RV itself was nice

The RV itself was nice. There was a plate on the side of the RV that did not latch well and fell off - I was charged for it. I even took a picture but was still charged. I rented for about 10 days and brought the RV back very clean. Even the lip where the cover went on was damaged. The RV itself was good. Be real careful with these guys - they dinged me and don't seem to care - I was charged.

As an owner of an RV - STAY AWAY

As an owner, I highly recommend you DO NOT use this company. I rented an RV through it, the RV was damaged a month ago. The renter admitted to the damage (broke the awning). RVrentals.com (Good Sam) the took the deductible from the renter but have not even assigned me a claim number or an adjuster. AFTER ONE month of pestering them, they say this is normal. They said "since there are multiple persons involved" it take a while for an adjuster to be assigned to the claim. They want me to process my RV repairs through Camping World. Last time I called Camping World, they wanted 4 months for an appointment so who knows when they will ever call to fix it. I was excited about RvRentals.com (Good Sam's) low fees of 5% for owners, but it's not worth it if they don't provide owners with the protections from damages or repair our RV when an accident happens. In my opinion, if you don't take care of your owners, we won't rent using your platform again.
