For the most part, everything went well with the rv rental. The only issue was the height measurement of the toy-hauler loading door. The website description/measurement was actually one inch higher... See more

Kyle really represented your company extremely well. They showed concern were not in a rush, very helpful, and I was very anxious as an rv. Rental, I had since June and the trip was in about a month. Canceled on me when I told them the truth that there would be two people staying instead of one.
Kyle show concern and walked me through everything. You are very lucky to have somebody like that representing your company
I rented a van through RVshare (DeVan Rentals) for a long-planned camping trip near Beaver, Utah—an area close to 10,000 feet in elevation. What I wasn’t told until after picking up the van was that it was a retired Amazon delivery van, which absolutely matters when you’re headed into high mountain terrain.
The van didn’t even start when I went to pick it up. The owner was out of town and never met me in person. Instead, he filled out the check-in form on my behalf before I even arrived, and had to call roadside assistance just to get the van running. That should have been the first red flag.
I drove the van home and, less than 30 minutes later, it stalled again at my community gate. When I contacted the owner, he told me that was "normal" behavior for Amazon vans. That was the first time he ever mentioned what kind of van I had rented. I was shocked—and immediately concerned for my safety.
I was a 54-year-old woman traveling alone with my 11-year-old dog. If that van had stalled in the mountains, I could have been stranded at 10,000 feet or in 100+ degree temperatures going to and from. After thinking it through for about 20 minutes, I returned the van to where I picked it up from, placed the keys back in the lockbox, and informed the owner. He agreed to refund me, minus one day over text right after that.
Despite returning it immediately and explaining the serious safety concerns, the owner denied that he had agreed to the refund, and RVshare backed him up.
UPDATE PON 09/23/2025: I had to dispute this with my bank. They took all of the information from me and RVshare along with the owner of the van denied, denied and denied. Finally it went to a 3rd party to make a decision and they decided in my favor. Don't give up. Fight for what is right and hopefully justice will prevail.
Very disappointed - found a rental trailer to use for guests for a week - rental about $700 - BUT THEY ADDED ON insurance I don't need to $674
Travel trailer that the host is delivering, parking in my driveway and leaving it for a week? Outrageous - DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
This is a 3rd party site with a high insurance price tag even when the RV is delivered. Their refund policy is terrible, no contract was ever sent however when we declined to use the site we were only partially refunded. GO DIRECTLY to owners/companies instead and skip this entire site.
The rv owner was a total pleasure to work with. Very responsive. Unit was exactly as advertised. BUT, RV Share itself lacks any transparency. A, $125 a nite, 6 nite rental quickly became $1,662.46 on the credit card. As soon as you push the button agreeing to rent, you are also automatically agreeing to all ridiculous and exorbitant costs. There is no "choice". RV Share, in a separate email, was "unable to provide" a breakdown of "protection" costs. Several other hard -to -decipher and confusing texts and emails were generated. Never, ever again. Do yourself a favor: read all the many negative reviews before choosing this company.
On two separate occasions we rented an RV through RVShare. Both times, and on very short notice, we received notification that our reservation was cancelled. No explanation was given until I was finally able to get up with the owners.
Since renting RVs requires reservations at campsites, our entire vacation was in jeopardy. We were lucky to find a gracious host the first time that had found themselves in that same position at one time. They were lovely, but RVShare was of no assistance in finding a replacement RV.
The second and most recent time the host knew of mechanical issues a week before we received the cancellation and did not reach out.
The other issue I have with RVShare is that since I am the one that plans vacations, and the RVShare account was already in my name, I was automatically the verified driver. Nowhere did I see that the account holder was the primary driver.
My husband was planning on doing all of the driving and when I called RVShare to find out why I had to pay an extra $13/day to have him verified as a driver the customer service representative, reluctantly waived this policy this one time.
Within minutes, my husband was denied as a verified driver. And while he didn't have any traffic or criminal violations he wasn't allowed to drive the RV. I called RVShare and was told that they couldn't tell me over the phone or by email why he was denied, which makes no sense whatsoever. They did say I would receive a notification from the company explaining the denial, which never came. The customer service representative was anything but cordial and friendly.
Needless to say, we didn't even bother trying to find another RV through RVShare. I found out about Outdoorsy and they have been a pleasure to work with.
I highly recommend avoiding RVShare. There was no apology, on their part, and no offer to assist in finding another RV. I noticed that Outdoorsy requires a vehicle maintenance check within 90 days of any rental. And on top of that, their prices are MUCH less than RVShare.
It's not a company I would use again or recommend to anyone else.
Do not protect owners! Rv Share allowed a renter to keep our unit for an unapproved extra night and then not collect on the funds that was owed to us. They also did not collect on any overage charges and or damages that were done as agreed upon they do not help the owners in any way shape or form They do not take any liability. They need to gather bank account information rather than credit card information that can be easily canceled before charges happen.
Every time i called for help, everyone went above and beyond assistance. Especially Morgan
Horrible experience — RVshare insurance is a scam.
We rented an RV for Burning Man, paid $500 for cleaning and $1,200 for RVshare insurance, and returned it clean. The next day the owners accused us of ridicules petty “damages” a missing pan we never used, a tiny chip and cushion scuff, even blaming an air freshener leaking that they had installed. We had photos and video proof, and the only issue we acknowledged upon return was a small scrape from tape used to keep the fridge shut (since it wasn’t working on pickup).
The real problem came from RVshare. A week later they hit us with $2,500 in charges without explanations for what were the damages. When we finally got through to the adjuster (who never contacted us first), we discovered the insurance is a total trap: the deductible is $1,000 for every rental, but for Burning Man it secretly doubles (which is not mentioned anywhere). We were charged in total a shocking $4,500 on top of 3900$ reservation. In practice, this means RVshare avoids paying anything and renters are expected to pay the entire bill ignoring the insurance completely.
So between dishonest owners and RVshare’s hidden policies, we paid thousands on top of cleaning and insurance that gave us zero protection.
Bottom line: RVshare enables shady owners, hides critical insurance details, and profits by leaving renters exposed. Don’t rent through them it’s not worth the risk.
DO NOT RENT YOUR CAMPER OUT HERE
Things were going great, I had responsible customers who took care of my RV. But then the nightmare happened. A guy brought it back in an absolute wreck. There was minor damages, but the cleaning was insane. There are optional fees on my RV (like cleaning the black and grey water tank out - the renter can do this themselves if they wish to avoid the fee) but the Renters can disregard overages!!! I did not know this until it happened to me and RVshare has no protection for these things like insane cleaning and other overages. They pretend they do, they even let you list overages (like excessive cleaning, generator time) on your listing, but there is no guarantee that you will be paid. The renter can do these overages and then just disregard them.
How can you possibly trust a company that won’t let you unsubscribe from their incessant advertising? Obviously you cannot.
First, we rented a RV that they let them bail on us the day before the trip with zero compensation
Second after we scrambled with no help from RV share to find a second one. It was a complete piece of trash. I won’t even talk about the inside of the RV versus what the pictures look like because they had a battery in it that was completely unsafe and died on us multiple times including while driving. After showing them pictures that proved that this RV was completely unsafe for anyone to use. They refunded us no money and we have a Mechanic that will be testifying in court that this thing was completely unsafe to rent. Don’t put your family and loved ones at risk. There are a bunch of other companies that rent RVs do not go through these people
Jesse helped me she did great job. Incredible work like no other. I’ve been struggling with other persons from Customer Service. They couldn’t help me yesterday but today Jessy was remarkable. She done the job and completed with great success. I’m telling you Jessy is the best for the entire RV share company God bless.
The RV was in very bad condition and did not reflect the description at all. Old tires, broken ceiling window, full & clogged black water tank, lots of personal clutter, every surface was sticky... just to name a few. What was most disappointing - RV Share did not even honour us with an answer to our complaint - so they obviously do not care about customer satisfaction at all. I would definitely not rent again with RV Share.
While the RV owner was a pleasure to deal with, RVshare chose to rip me off with additional charges for insurance I did not ask for specifically. Literally rejected the coverage, got a confirmation email, and they charged me more anyway. They refuse to refund the overcharge.
I had rented an RV from RV Share for a week in June of 2025 and paid my money. They contact me two weeks before my rental date and state the RV was double booked, so my reservation had to be changed. I changed it to a date in September that I wasn't sure would work and I had a conflict so had to cancel the reservation. They charged me $166.08 for a service fee that is non-refundable. I don't remember reading about a non-refundable service fee. Very disappointed. DO NOT rent from these people.
I paid extra for RVshare’s cancellation protection insurance to cover us if anything went wrong. Despite this, RVshare canceled our RV rental at the last minute—after we had taken time off work and planned our entire family vacation. By the time they notified us, it was impossible to find another RV rental.
RVshare claimed the owner canceled the trip. I asked for compensation as promised in the cancellation coverage policy. Instead, I spent hours on hold with their overseas customer service, was bounced around, hung up on, and called back—only to be offered a pathetic $25 promo code for my next trip.
RVshare customer service is a nightmare: an endless phone tree loop, nearly impossible to reach a real person. This feels like an online company with almost no real staff. If you’re looking for a reliable RV rental, avoid RVshare—your trip, time, and money are too important to risk on a company that doesn’t honor its own cancellation policy.
Used them for a third time in 2025. One time each year for a week. There are offers for delivery, pickup and dump service if you dry camp for a week like us with 3 grandkids. The trailer we rented this year was horrible. The owner had there original new rv photos on the site. The unit was a filthy mess. Had no choice but to put up with it as we traveled from Oregon to California. RVShare does not monitor or control the shape of rv is in. Will not use them again.
I've rented my camper for 2 years on RV Share but I'm done. Most renters were great, left great reviews, never had problems. However, I recently had a renter book 2 months in advance of Sturgis..which is typically booked out a year in advance but we had our camper unlisted for a while and out it back up. He (Friday night) reported the a/c didn't work and I told him I'd have someone come out but it would probably be Monday. Sunday evening he texts me thst the camper is absolutely filthy, theres dust on a shelf, the stove had grease on it, and the blinds are bent. Blinds get bent, I'm not replacing them because 1 little blind is bent. He's had it for 3 days after I cleaned it and suddenly it's filthy and it's my fault? He demands I fix it or retrieve it so, seeing that this guy is going to be a nightmare, I opt for the latter and refund his unused days. I called RVSHARE and that was their suggestion. For a rental that should be non-refundable. Now he's disputing having to pay at all. For the 3 days he slept in it and got it dirty and for the (2) 4hr trips we had to make to deliver and pick it up. I'm done. RV Share already take most if what I'd make, I'm basically cleaning and delivering it for free and now this. Don't rent on RV Share. It's not worth the trouble or the money you lose.
What a joke! The customer service and communication are terrible. Don't expect anyone at this company to help you with an rv rental. The process of reserving an RV is a joke. You pay and then sit there for 24 hours waiting for a response. After 24 hours the request just expires without any communication. I am surprised a crap company like this can stay in business. Don't waste your time to money. They also falsely advertise unlimited miles. Then tell you it is unlimited with a daily limit! lol! WTF?
