My 1st time of doing business with…
My 1st time of doing business with Sabre pet foods, was a straight forward easy to order at great value prices, so much so I subscribed to regular orders without hesitation, ( which is very unusual as I normally "sit on " items in my basket for a few days, trying to find a better deal, which instantly I knew I would not). Once I had placed and paid, which again was very straight forward, I was informed by email of the process of when and how it would be delivered which was very reassuring (as one never knows when dealing with a new company/ supplier how they treat their customers once they have received the money, yet I could not fail to be impressed by the service.

I like a free sample and it was a good size to try. I use it as training treats, which works well as the food I got was a great size for my dog plus chicken free!

Darf cold compressed puppy food
We ordered a sample of Darf cold compressed puppy food after our pup decided he didn’t like the food he was previously eating. The sample was great and we only paid for shipping. Our dog loved the sample so we set up a subscription of the 14kg bag. It was really easy to do. You can even amend your delivery date. The food calculator on the website is very helpful. Overall a fantastic company. I will say we experienced a couple of delays with delivery but that is down to royal mail.

So nice to actually have a person on the end of the line. Due to problems with delivery had to call customer service they were very polite professional and helpful. They dispatched my order and it was delivered the next day.

Terrible customer service when things go wrong
I have been ordering from here for years. My last order was never delivered by parcel force. This was placed on the 22nd of September I emailed them on the 28th of September which I received an email from Emma to say she will investigate. Since then no one has contacted me and no refund. I contacted Alyssia twice on there website chat and both times told they will check again no refund. It’s got to the paint after two years I’ve cancelled my subscription with them as they clearly do not value their customers.

When you first contacted us, we investigated the missing delivery with Parcel Force and raised a complaint after they advised that the parcel was mistakenly being returned to us. At the time, we confirmed that a full refund would be issued as soon as the parcel was returned to our warehouse.
However, we completely appreciate that you shouldn't have had to chase us for an update. We should have followed this up and dealt with it more swiftly, and we're very sorry that we didn't.
We can confirm that your full refund was issued via PayPal yesterday, and our customer service team also confirmed this with you via live chat.
Our management would really like the opportunity to speak with you personally and put things right. Unfortunately, we don't have a contact telephone number for you, so we're unable to call you directly. If you're happy to do so, please contact us with the best number to reach you on and a member of our team will give you a call.
We're genuinely disappointed that this last experience has resulted in you cancelling your subscription after being with us for so long. Your custom absolutely is valued, and we're very sorry that on this occasion our service didn't demonstrate that.

Fantastic Semi Moist Dog Food
I bought a sample pack firstly of the fish semi moist dog food. A miracle occurred to the fact BOTH my dogs woofed it up. They loved it, so I bought the biggest size I could get. It comes in lots of sec contained portions. Perfect for travelling because you can take a portion for each day your away.
My younger dog seems to be intolerant of many other brands hence I went with the this companies fish option. My older dog usually turns her head away with fish but we have a winner and two happy dogs and happy owner.
Also you can use the food as reward treats. Perfect.

Great customer service but product is regularly incorrect
Ordered a 19kg bag of dog food, when it arrived it was only 18kg. This error has occurred several times. However, customer services were quick to respond and rectify the issue. We would really like to continue purchasing dog food from this supplier, but if the product we receive is regularly incorrect it is additional unnecessary hassle to alway sort out and it reduces the trust we have in the supplier.

We take concerns like this extremely seriously, and following your feedback, we have carried out additional checks today and individually weighed approximately 50 of our 19kg bags. All of those checked were over the stated 19kg weight, and we have not received any other reports of underweight bags. However, we appreciate that this does not take away from your own experience, and we're pleased our customer service team was able to resolve the issue quickly for you.
Should you ever experience this again, please contact us straight away and do not use any of the contents of the bag. We will arrange for the product to be collected so that we can inspect it and raise the matter directly with the manufacturer for further investigation.
We really appreciate that you'd like to continue purchasing from us at Sabre Pet Food, and we hope the additional checks we've carried out provide some reassurance that your concerns have been taken seriously.
