Safe hands- not safe at all

Safe hands - disgusting. I am a single parent with an autistic son. I paid IN FULL over years for a funeral plan. I thought it would take the worry and stress from my son. Money is VERY limited, so this was a big decision. While you are giving payments to your shareholders from the money I had paid in good faith, most of whom are wealthy in their own right, what happens to us who cannot afford to pay this sort of money again. Next time you get in your racing car for a jolly remember the price of fuel you put in your car would pay for the funeral (the cheapest I could afford) and am now not going to receive. No doubt you are all hiding in your very up market homes trying to be invisible. Thankyou for your consideration to your customers.

I was completely gobsmacked when I found out that Safe Hands had gone bump!, I brought my husbands funeral plan and paid in full 7 years ago, just before he had his stroke( that should of told me I was tempting fate), we had a either or plan which ment whoever passed first was buried, but now because of the greedy, useless, scrupulous, lowlife scrum that are the directors etc of this so called company we both face a paupers funeral and our children will have to sort out, I hope these scum enjoyed spending peoples hard earned cash and it chokes them and god willing they get what they deserve punishment by the law, but somehow i doubt it, They are lowlife scum who deserve to rot in hell

People with no morals.

Same names keep popping up for family trusts, philips trust, deedbank. These people need to be stopped creating new companies just to keep conning people out of their money. Absolute scum of the earth with no care for customer service. Law needs changing to have these people jailed.

We too have been scammed by the directors of Safehands. Told money was protected and ring fenced which was a lie. These directors have taken chunks of cash from this business and walked away. They need to be held to account for this fraud. I’ve tried to find the petition to sign to get the government to take action but can’t find it, does anyone have a link or any information from any actions the government may take?
We lost almost £7000 and now can’t afford to start again so we will only have a pauper’s funeral. Who are the directors and where are they now? We need to come together and fight these scum!!!!

I have just found an article saying Richard Phillip Wells, Tom Gormanly and Amber Gormanly were all directors of Safehands. Amber is a director of Deedbank Ltd and her father Tom Gormanly is a director of Mydigisafe Ltd.
Shame on them!!!

Disgusting treatment

Not only did my parents who are both now in care pay fir funeral plans, due to dementia they didn't cancel their standing order so overpaid an additional amount of nearly £8000. We were discussing the return of this a month before they went into administration so to say we are angry is an understatement.

Please sign Parliament Petition against Safe Hands

My husband and I paid just over £3,000.00 each for a funeral plan. We have been robbed. To loose over £6,000.00 for retired people is diabolical.

Having read in the newspapers over the last few months what happened to money that should have been in a ring fenced investment, well it’s just unbelievable.

There is a Petition that can be signed and I implore all those who bought policy’s and their families (as family is the reason we bought the policy’s) to go online and sign the petition. We need as many signatures as possible to stand any chance of any sort of recompense.

Go to Petition.parliament.uk and the petition number is 614579. The petition title is:
“Create an emergency fund for victims of failed funeral plan companies”

Please act now.

Angry at begin ripped off!

Like everyone else I feel angry that a company I trusted and put my faith in to to assist my family & loved ones with my funeral has clearly been mis-managing funds and has now gone into liquidation. This is the second time I have been screwed over, I lost my Pension in similar circumstances and have nada for when I finally retire. At 55 I no longer have faith in any financial type organization - I am left without a pension and now will have to start all over again with a funeral plan! I am utterly fuming over this! I doubt I will ever see a penny of my money again!

How can a Company that handles funerals go into liquidation???? There are two certainties in life and that is birth and death! There will never be a shortage of people passing away! I know some companies hit trouble during Covid, however I would not have believed this happening with companies handling funerals or funeral plans - quite the opposite in fact. No the failure of this company is the mis-management of the Company Directors. Utterly disgraceful actions with zero thought for the around 46,000 plan holders you lured to take out plans!

It seems very fishy to me that the Company go into liquidation before Funeral Plan companies are then protected by the FCA - very convenient!!

If anyone from Safe Hands reads this - I hope you are happy, I have no doubt the Directors of the Company are sitting pretty already planning their next Company if this hasn't already been set up!!! Scum and crooks that is what you are!!!

Unreliable and seems to have been unregulated

My father had a plan with “Safe Hands” he passed away 24th March the day after said company went into administration. I rang the company unknowingly as to what had happened only to be given the news, at the end of the conversation I was told by the bright speaking female to “have a nice day” …. Really, I had just lost my father and been told his funeral plan wasn’t worth the paper it was written on.
No company should be allowed to trade like this ripping off mostly older people, the sales people could obviously talk the talk but unfortunately those behind the scenes couldn’t organise anything.
Imagine how much more stress and time this has added to be able to lay our loved one to rest!

i am a robbed and really sad about the way
a lot of people have been robbed and used by
these people.Being a single male i want to make
provision for the time, These people took money
from a lot of people, stolen and left without, to
make real problems for willing people. You, the
directors of the company, must pay and make
good the wrongs you all have done.
The excuse of covid, you would of been busy
at this time. Even more monies for you people
to take.
To the receivers, do your jobs, and make
sure justice is done. Please answer to my
3rd entry I would like to be informed of
your progress, as every person effected
would to know also.

Shows why FCA regulation is essential

Took out a funeral plan with Safe Hands several years ago, which I paid for in full.
Looks like the company were sailing very "close to the wind" with their management of customers' money and got caught out with a huge surge in claims caused by the Covid pandemic.
Shows us why funeral plan providers must be regulated by the FCA.
As for me, I'd settle for a dividend and avoid funeral plans from now on, preferring life insurance for funeral and other executry costs. Surely I can trust Prudential?

Cheating ppl out of their funeral is…

Cheating ppl out of their funeral is the lowest act one could commit. Reckless behaviour and poor management leave 1000s in a terrible position. Beyond vile behaviour I hope they sleep well at night. I wonder how the company directors would feel if this was done to their family?

If anyone wants to join the dots

If anyone wants to join the dots, these are the same people that were involved with the Will Writing Co, deedbank, the Family Trust Corporation and the Philips Trust - amongst many other companies. It’s worth doing the research as they continue to be directors and create new companies.

These people,lowest of the low

So three new directors appointed beginning of March,by the 23rd March the company was in administration. Yep,blame the old chestnut Covid 19,but how much of approximately £140 mill collected from 45,000 policy holders have these greedy conniving scumbags put into their own pockets before being regulated by the FCA. If this had happened after the 29th July,we would all have been ring fenced with our plans(and we were told we were ring fenced, and our money was safe)and consequently our policies would have remained active. Just throw the book at these people for FRAUD.

"SCUM BAG DIRECTORS"!

My wife and I paid in £2215 each for our funeral plans so we wouldn`t be a burden to our kids etc.
We have just received the administration letter which looks like our MONIES in "SAFE HANDS" was an ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!

I hope the law will throw the book at these "SCUM BAG DIRECTORS"!
But probably not, the directors will probably open up another business and we will "ALL" be whistling DIXXIE! for our monies!
CAN YOU TELL I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!
I asked the very question about how safe our monies were and I was assured everything was safe guarded!

OMG!
I have allowed us to be SCAMMED by these SHARKS!
