No PC. Definitely not direct.
Despite the bad reviews here I decided to order a PC as it was out of stock almost everywhere else and they offered Amazon Pay so I felt somewhat protected.
Purchase was made on 26th January. They claim it takes 4 working days for processing + 24h shipping. You should receive a tracking number once it is sent.
- On 28th I asked whether sending the PC with an EU plug was an option. No answer.
- 1st Februrary (4th working day after the order). I asked for an update given I had not received a tracking number yet. No answer.
- 2nd February. Still no feedback. I call them on the phone. Representative says there "may be an issue" and tells me he'll call me later. I insist - "Is there no stock? What's the issue?". Answer: "We may have to give you another product. A better one. Can I call you in 15?".
30 minutes later my order was cancelled because they said there was no stock. I complained about this and said I would be writing a review about it. As a result, they asked me not to do so and claimed that they had no stock for an EU power cord but did have stock for an UK one (even though I only ever asked whether it would be available, not as a requirement and never even got a reply).
Then the conversation over email went along these lines (summarized):
Me- "OK. I will not write a review, could you send me the PC with a UK plug?"
Them- "Because of the confusion now we need more time to ship the PC". Then they to use COVID as an excuse.
Me- "OK. It will be delayed. When can you ship it? Are you 100% sure you have stock of the PC with the UK plug?"
Them- Evasive answer: "[..]the concerned department needs some time to dispatch with UK plug also as we are facing a shipment delay this time. "
Me- "Understood. What is the new shipping date then. I don't want to wait another week just to get another excuse".
Them- "[...] the shipment is delayed we can not give any expected date for the dispatch of your order. The department will process your refund as their first priority."
Overall, the entire process was dodgy. I really tried to make it work as the product is out of stock everywhere else, but it was hopeless. I very much doubt they had any stock in the first place and the EU power cord sounded like a good excuse to stick to after screwing up. Even if they had good intentions, they have no real stock management and no capacity to commit to anything. Very unprofessional. Get your act together guys.
Hoping my refund goes OK as I used Amazon Pay.
Massive waste of time and cost of opportunity. Avoid.
UPDATE 03/02/2022: Got refunded quickly. Rating adjusted from 1 star to 2 stars.

Dodgy. Avoid like the plague.
From beginning to end, this company has been hopeless. I initially ordered a Lenovo x280 which it turned out they never had in stock. They then offered me an alternative to which they agreed. They then sent a completely different laptop that, while it had a wonky hinge and creaked a bit, at least worked for a while. After a few months the screen started failing so I returned the the laptop under warranty to SafePCDirect. They then refused to fix the laptop because, wait for it, it had a wonky hinge. I objected to this and... silence. Avoid these guys, really flaky business model and their warranty is worth nothing. I'm over £300 poorer with no laptop.
Recently bought a Acer Nitro 5
Recently bought a laptop from them.
Had a member of staff tell me when it was available, guide me through the process and even warn me when an upgraded version of that model had arrived during as well as update me on the delivery progression.
Great service, could be little smoother but they do good work.
Absolutely terrible- Stay away!
Absolutely terrible- Stay away!
Made an order, a week later I ring to ask where it was and found after 6 days they had emailed (I missed it as it was in Junk folder) to say a "Part was faulty" and then tried to have me PAY MORE for a far worse laptop. They told me that I had to pay another £75 so casually as if I were the one acting strangely for not paying more for a far worse laptop.
This seems to be their scam as from what I've read from others it seems to be the normal routine. I don't believe a part was faulty, I don't believe they ever had the laptop I ordered. After much hassle (Luckily I paid through AmazonPay!) I got a refund after another week.
Don't waste your time- all the positive reviews seem to be fake and paid for as they follow the usual terrible template.
Avoid at all costs
Purchased a thinkpad t470 from safepcdirect on the day it was supposed to be shipped got a message that the laptop had a faulty processor and could they send a t460 instead as this was a downgrade I declined ( they still had the original laptop advertised as in stock on the website) said I needed the t470 or above as I needed a thunderbolt connection several emails later and they promised me a thinkpad X1 carbon with the same specs as I originally ordered was told it would be dispatched in a couple of days I later got a tracking number that the laptop was coming from United Arab Emirates asked if this was correct and was it a UK laptop and was told it was. On receipt what I got was a T470 and not the X1 as promised which would have been fine if I had been told also this is USA laptop with the wrong keyboard layout and a missing internal battery. E mailed them and was told this correct and a us keyboard is shown on the website which it is if you zoom in on the photo but not mentioned anywhere on the website was also informed that this is a refurbished laptop and not new which I knew it was but still expect it to be to uk specs
So as well as purchasing the laptop I now have to buy a uk keyboard and internal battery
I have bought several refurbished pc’s and laptops from tier1online without problem only tried safepcdirect as they had the T470 at a better price I now know why

I bought a laptop but misread the specs, received a full refund a day later. Excellent service.
Good service!
Ali was very good at communicating with me, when my laptop was broken. The staff at the warehouse was unable to sort out the problem. But Ali was able to sort me a new laptop to replace it and was able to but all my data onto the new system. Which was great!
I would definitely recommend them if you have issues with your laptop. but be prepared that that it can take up to 2 weeks to sort your problem or issue.
10/ 10 would recommend
I recently ordered a MacBook, spoke to Ali and he told me that routine checks of the laptop would take up to 10 days but gave me options for a next day delivery for similar MacBooks. Decided to wait for the one I initially ordered and he said he will be able to send it out for delivery next week Thursday. Happy for this to be done, also good prices on MacBooks; would recommend.
Sale of PC to Safepcdirect
Good enough experience with these guys. Purchased my sons PC & paid us a reasonable sum for it. Impressed with their speed of response to emails, online chat & phone calls.
