American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR, and First-Aid Certification Courses: A Comprehensive Overview Safety Training Seminars is a nationally recognized leader in providing high-quality training in life-saving skills. Their certification courses in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First-aid are designed to equip both healthcare professionals and lay responders with the tools they need to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Whether you're a medical provider, childcare worker, teacher, or concerned citizen, AHA training offers valuable education that can make the difference between life and death. Basic Life Support (BLS) The AHA’s BLS certification course is essential for healthcare professionals including nurses, doctors, EMTs, and dental workers. This course focuses on high-quality CPR, the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and team-based resuscitation scenarios. Participants learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, provide effective chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and use an AED promptly. BLS certification is often required for employment in hospitals and clinics and is a foundational course for more advanced training. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ACLS builds on the basic skills taught in BLS and is intended for advanced healthcare providers such as physicians, paramedics, and critical care nurses. The course emphasizes the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. ACLS training includes advanced airway management, ECG interpretation, pharmacology, and effective communication within a code team. AHA ACLS courses require prior knowledge of BLS and often include pre-course self-assessments to ensure participants are prepared. Certification is valid for two years and is vital for those working in emergency departments and intensive care units. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) The PALS course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies involving infants and children. It is particularly important for pediatricians, emergency personnel, and nurses who work in pediatric or neonatal care units. The training covers pediatric assessment, effective respiratory support, shock management, and cardiac arrest in children. Like ACLS, the course involves hands-on practice, team simulations, and cognitive testing. PALS certification helps ensure that medical personnel are prepared to handle life-threatening pediatric emergencies confidently and competently. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CPR certification is not limited to medical professionals—it’s a valuable skill for anyone. The AHA offers CPR courses for both healthcare providers and the general public. These courses teach participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, perform chest compressions, give rescue breaths, and use an AED. CPR certification is commonly required for teachers, coaches, lifeguards, and childcare providers. The skills learned can be applied to adult, child, and infant emergencies and empower individuals to act swiftly in life-threatening situations. First-Aid First-aid certification courses teach non-medical responders how to manage a wide range of emergencies until professional help arrives. Topics include bleeding control, burns, fractures, allergic reactions, seizures, and more. The course is ideal for workplaces, schools, and community groups. First-aid training helps individuals stay calm and act efficiently during crises, potentially preventing conditions from worsening. Many employers require First-aid certification to meet workplace safety standards. Training Format and Certification AHA courses are offered in various formats to accommodate different learning styles and schedules. Options include traditional classroom instruction, blended learning (a combination of online coursework and in-person skills testing), and the innovative RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) program, which emphasizes mastery learning and regular hands-on practice. All certifications are typically valid for two years and require renewal through a refresher course or skills check. Conclusion Safety Training Seminars certification courses in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR, and First-aid provide comprehensive and standardized training that meets the needs of professionals and the public alike. These courses emphasize the importance of early recognition, high-quality intervention, and teamwork in emergency situations. By becoming certified, individuals gain the knowledge and confidence to save lives and make their communities safer. Whether you're renewing your credentials or learning for the first time, AHA training is a critical step in emergency preparedness.

Super simple!
First off, plenty of parking at this location. There are no instructors, just computers connected to a set of manikins -- one adult and one infant. All you have to do is log in and follow the guides on the computer. The computer will provide feedback and tips on how to improve your skills. You can try as many times as needed. Would come back here again.
Pretty simple and self explanatory. Can’t complain
Excellent program - you learn the necessary information step by step at your own pace. The compression portion of the skills was particularly difficult for me. I didn't manage to complete it on the first day but with encouragement and tips from the instructors, I succeeded on the following day. As their motto says, "Saving lives requires hard work."
I am a retired probation officer, and I wanted to stay on top of my certification. The online portion is FANTASTIC!!!! I love it because the training allows opportunities to jump ahead, if you have experience, which I did.
The in person portion, again FANTASTIC! O actually learned more in this training than I did in the 18.5 years I worked at probation.
Now, GEORGIA!!!!!! She is the BEST instructor. She was patient, in her direction, clear on the process, and the training was ONLY AN HOUR!!!!!!
Nothin like women doin right!
I had a good experience and my in-person session matched the material I used to train online. The only critique would be that it might be more effective for the majority of learners if their instructors were in-person. Also, I had to spend half the session in the dark because no one turned the lights on in anticipation of a learner visit.
The child manikin kept disconnecting. The process ended up taking a lot longer than I would have liked, but when I called in for assistance, the person was respectful and willing to help. Overall everything else was good.

Great review class but I suggest there should 2 or 3 keys for the main door , only one key was available but there was somebody inside already and the other box wont open so I called the phone number by the door, I took it in Hayward Ca.

I appreciate the fact that the course exists and there is available on line. The final exam could be better by having one instructor per person. My exam has 2 other remote do 3 remotes for 1 instructor. An was somewhat chaotic.

I really appreciated the voice-guided prompts—they made such a difference. And whenever I ran into trouble, the staff were so kind and helpful. Couldn't have gotten through the course without them!

I was about to give up when I decided to call for help. The person on the phone was very supportive and explained that module to me. And then it all made sense. Hadn't it been for her, I would have given up. A thousand thanks to that person, and the company that didn't give up on me.

This class was very thorough and covered all the basics very well. I liked that you were quizzed periodically through out the course instead of a long quiz at the end. Also it was very easy to access the hands on training area.
