i never have used the insurance (gladly) but the price compared to what you get is great plus its valid everywhere. because i never used the service i give it 4 stars out of 5.

Customer support is great. I am a really thorough person who likes everything to be in order. They provided me with detail explanation and answered my questions properly each time when I opened a chat. I am in customer experience role myself and know how important is to actually read the question from the customer rather than just send a macro.

I would not trust SafetyWing at all. I was with them for 18 months. I submitted a claim for basic medical care (a doctor's appointment and blood tests), and they rejected my appeal, hiding behind “pre-existing conditions”, which absolutely was not the case, to avoid paying. The whole process felt dismissive and unfair.
On top of that, their coverage is very misleading. They slyly changed their terms and never informed their customers. Example - initially, you would be covered on a motorbike as long as you wore appropriate headgear and held an international licence. They then updated this without notice to be only insured on a bike of 50CC (pretty much a mobility scooter). I saw this amendment after reviewing my policy and would have had to pay extra for 'adventure sports' just to be properly covered. What if someone had a terrible accident on a motorbike and needed care, thinking they had already paid for this based on the terms they signed up for? I cancelled instead, after realising they won't even pay out for basic medical treatment.
Overall, this feels like a company that will take your money but do everything possible not to pay out when you actually need them. I haven't heard of one real-life successful claim, just influencers being paid to sell their promo codes!

Mako made all the difference for me. After Texting through the online portal, I asked for a phone number to speak with a representative. To my utter shock, Mako was the person who answered the phone. Delightfully, she was already prepared and knowledgeable of the process of my particular contract I was looking to complete. Very Polite, with very excellent spoken english. Extremely concise with her ability to explain the options and features of SafetyWing and assisted me all the way through the purchase of a plan taylored for my needs. The agent was able to resolve my issue and give me peace of mind via chat very quickly. She communicated clearly and with a nice speed, as well as allowed me to take my time logging in while assuring me she would assist me and not rush me. Within a little over 24 hours, I had my refund. (They mentioned it could take up to 7 business days.) I will continue to get my travel insurance with them and I recommend SafetyWing.

After contracting dengue fever in Sri Lanka back in December, I ended up in hospital for 1 week and immediately got in touch with safety wing who were so easy to deal with and handled everything so efficiently. I was put at ease and didn't have to worry about a huge hospital bill at the end. Even when I put a claim in, the process was so easy to do online and was settled in a matter if days. I have been using them for years and this was the first time I needed help and I was so happy I choose safetwing after having trouble in the past with other insurance companies, this was honestly a lifesaver.

terrible. I was in a horrible accident, hit by a drunk driver, broke my foot, needed surgery. They would not pay. Tried to deny over 1 technicality, didnt work, then denied over another technicality. Worthless. A waste of my money.

The claims staff always available and gently with me, they answer all my emails. Safety wings are extremely precise with the claims, ask you all necessary documents like medical report, invoice, card and receive payments ...etc. More information you give better is. They won't reimburse you if you don't have all these document. Important they don't accept screenshot just files or photos.Take a little bit to be reimbursed ( more or less 7 days)Was my first time deal with a insurance... Good experience, for sure I will recommend and contract again if I come back to Bali.
