I’ve now ordered 3 lamps from…

I’ve now ordered 3 lamps from Salaterra, and will be ordering more! Their products are high quality, come well packaged and quickly. Their customer service is also superb, and I had contact from the company directly when a shipment was due for delivery but missed by me (my own fault!) to reschedule delivery. Love this company so much!

Great service, beautfiul glassware

The customer service was fantastic and we absolutely love our new glasses, they look great on our shelves and are lovely to use. We will definitely be shopping here again once we move house... can't wait to fill our home with more beautiful items!

Rug with wrong pattern and CHINESE INSCRIPTIONS in it

We have ordered a rug for our living room for almost 600€.
First, we were astonished when received the product. It had been shipped directly from China and was within a wooden case, which could only be opened with a crowbar. This for sure protected the rug, but maybe if you'd produce in Europe or Mediterranean region you'd not need such sturdy packaging.
After having bought a crowbar, we finally managed to open the box just to realise that the pattern of the rug was not the one advertised in the website. Their customer service tried to convince us that since it is an 'artisanal' product, the pattern changes with each product. One could almost believe in that if it were not for the inscription in Chinese characters in one of the corners of the rug. So much for the Mediterranean serenity inspiration!
Finally, during a web search we found similar (equal!) rugs for sale in Chinese-like platforms, so the artisan might look like more of a big Chinese factory.
Because we were over the 1 month period (in part because we had to buy the crowbar to open the wooden box), they did not accept to exchange/refund us, but this is not what motivated this review. It is rather the feeling of being defrauded of your expectations from one company/brand that sells himself as a Mediterranean brand with expensive products, but that produces and ships products from China even with Chinese inscriptions in it.
If you SELL Mediterranean inspired products, please have the dignity to either PRODUCE in the Mediterranean region or the bare minimum to DISCLOSE the production origin in each product's page.
For sure we'll never buy anything else from this Mediterranean-washing company!!

At Salaterra Deco, we are a European design brand inspired by Mediterranean aesthetics, and we work with a network of artisans and specialized workshops around the world, selected for their craftsmanship and quality. Each piece is designed and curated under our supervision to meet our aesthetic and quality standards.

Regarding the wooden crate packaging, this is not related to the origin of production but rather to ensure that the product arrives in perfect condition. Regardless of where an item is shipped from, this level of packaging is an extra measure of care and safety we provide to protect our clients’ orders from any transport damage.

We would also like to clarify that this purchase was made in March, and the first contact from the client regarding a complaint was in May. Our team replied promptly and made several attempts to reach out to assist and find the best solution, but unfortunately, we received no further response. The next communication we received was this review, posted in August, several months later.

Additionally, we would like to note that at no point were we informed about the presence of inscriptions or letters on the rug, and had we been made aware of that detail, we would have acted immediately. In fact, our team offered the option to return the item so that we could resolve the situation appropriately; however, this solution was not accepted at the time.

We take every concern seriously and always aim to resolve any issue directly and professionally. Our goal has always been to provide honest, high-quality products and an attentive, trustworthy service to every customer.

Worst customer service

I purchased an expensive dinning room from them received the ordered damaged they promised me they will fix it I have been trying to contact them for months all they have been doing is ignoring me stay away from this company specially that their products are very expensive

€1,500 for a Cheap Lamp from China

STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE!!! Cheap product, misconduct and attempts to silence customers!

I paid €1,500 for what was advertised as a premium European-made lamp but what I received was a low-quality, defective product. I found a product that looked the same listed on a known chinese website for $120. The lamp arrived damaged and visibly poor in quality.

When I asked for a refund, they:
• Refused a return at first and only acknowledged it after I cited EU consumer laws.
• Later revealed returns must go back to China at my expense, something not disclosed clearly on their website (they changed this after I pointed it out. I have proof in my emails).
• Demanded the lamp be shipped in unrealistic packaging (a wooden crate) or else no refund!!
• Changed their position multiple times first admitting the product was defective, then claiming it was fine.
• Sent a replacement that was even worse with visible scratches, missing brass detailing, only one light setting instead of 3 and a visibly patched wooden base.
• Shipped the replacement with a customs declaration valuing it at only $50, further confirming the lamp’s actual worth!!

Worst of all, they offered a return to Spain only if I signed an NDA promising never to leave a negative review online. That alone should raise serious red flags and it’s likely the reason others haven’t spoken out.

The only resolution I proposed was to keep both lamps unless they refund the full amount and arrange pickup at their expense. Nobody even answered me.

From the very beginning, our company has made every effort to offer a satisfactory solution to this customer.

Initially, the customer reported minor imperfections in the wood and an issue with the lampshade fitting. Our team promptly contacted her directly by phone to provide personalized assistance. During the call, Giorgia confirmed that the lampshade was now properly adjusted. However, she still felt that the lamp did not meet her expectations of quality and requested a return and refund.

Following our clearly stated return policy, available on our website, we provided the return instructions, which require returns to be sent to our international warehouse. The customer expressed dissatisfaction with the process and requested to return the product to Spain. To accommodate her, we exceptionally agreed to arrange a return within Spain, even though this is not our standard procedure.

Subsequently, the customer decided she also did not wish to return the item within Spain and requested a replacement instead. We sent a second lamp at our own cost, even though we were not obligated to do so. After receiving the replacement, the customer indicates the new lamp is neither up to her standards and decided by her own criteria to keep both lamps. We asked her to pick them up and issue a refund and we didn´t got a reply. So the current situation is: Giorgia has 2 lamps for the price of one and we have a such a wrong and non-realist review that damage our business integrity.

It is important to note that we were never offered to collect both lamps and issue a full refund, this was customer message "We’ll keep both lamps and call it a day," we didn´t agree and we woudl like to pick up the lamps and issue a refund to close this issue once for all but the customer has not responded to this proposal.

We would also like to address another important point: in her review, the customer claims that our product is sourced from Alibaba, based solely on the fact that it is manufactured in China. This claim is entirely unfounded and lacks any evidence. Manufacturing in China — the world’s leading production hub — does not imply that a product is of low quality or purchased through platforms like Alibaba. We work with carefully selected suppliers who adhere to strict quality standards, and all design and material selection processes are managed by our European team. Therefore, such accusations are not only incorrect but also demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of the industry and an evident intention to harm our reputation without basis.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the same customer has left multiple one-star reviews on other businesses, which raises questions about her review behavior. Furthermore, allegations that we intimidate customers to prevent negative reviews are completely false and damage our reputation. For this reason, our legal advisors have been informed and will take appropriate action.

We are a serious company, composed of a dedicated team that works hard to offer high-quality products and exceptional service. Anyone who reviews our communication and actions will see that we have acted with complete transparency and professionalism throughout this situation.

We truly regret that, despite all our efforts, we were unable to meet Giorgia´s expectations even if she kept both lamps.

Beautiful items purchased!

I purchased some beautiful, what looks like handmade ceramic plates and mugs from here and they are absolutely stunning. Very unique and different than purchasing these items at big retailers. Purchasing was easy on their site and the items came quickly and well packaged to avoid breakage. Will definitely be purchasing from them again!

Ordered some Christmas decoration…

Ordered some Christmas decoration mid-november. Here we are, few days before Christmas ... I still haven't received anything and they have emailed me to say that part of my order won't arrive anyway because they are out of stock and that I will get a refund, which I haven't. Unable to reach anyone from customer service. It looks like stuffs are coming from China so I'm not expecting great quality, if I ever receive the items that I ordered that is !

tuent sofa delivery

The furniture material is very good, and perfectly fits to our apartment.
However the delivery method was quite difficult because of FedEx and we didnt know that we had to bring the sofa up to our apartment. Also the customer service was very helpful so overall i give 5 stars.
