It depends on the life style of the beneficiary, what they usually use and your budget, of course.
1. Only talk and texts? Then Digicel Prepaid is the answer. $5 is the minim order. How the beneficiary can use the top up amount, that's something only the local operator can tell you. So, basically you need to ask the local operator by using the contact info in your online account with SalutHaiti.com, the Activity tab, invoice section (check down the invoice).
2. If the beneficiary would also use some internet data or unlimited international minutes to US, Canada or UK, then a plan would be a good mix . The 4 GB plan (all the above included besides unlimited minutes to Digicel) is $5, while the 16 GB plan is $25. It depends how much the beneficiary uses on a regular base. Or, does he/she ever run out of internet?
