Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 43 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with recent software updates, finding them to be detrimental to their phone's functionality and user experience. People reported numerous issues, including rapid battery drain, apps not working correctly, and difficulties with basic phone operations like transferring photos or restarting the device. The updates were often described as making the phones nearly useless, with some even considering switching brands despite being long-time users. Reviewers also highlighted frustrating changes to the user interface, such as altered layouts, smaller icons, and awkward navigation for settings and notifications. Some people mentioned issues with specific features like the camera not working properly, problems with predictive text, and the forced integration of unwanted applications. The overall sentiment was that the updates complicated usage rather than improving it, leading to a less intuitive and more frustrating experience for many.

Samsung are BREACHING PRIVACY

Samsung are breaching privacy. They do not have the authority to auto restart my phone ... especially when it is in use. They have cost me money by loss of income and damage to professional reputation. Exploring bringing a class action law suit. What else do they have access to without my consent? Think about it!!! When I buy a phone outright, I do not consent to being at the will of the company I purchased from. I should not be forced to endure forced updates, by being held to ransom by auto restarts, and not without a warning as a minimum. Their customer service lied and said they don't do this when contacted. It is up to my discretion to choose which updates I want to participate in and when this will happen.

Phone is ruined due to the March and April updates.

I HAVE BOUGHT
SAMSUNG PHONES FOR APPX 25 YEARS AND HIGHLY RECCOMMED SAMSUNG PHONES TO FRIENDS. THE LAST TWO UPDATES HAVE RUINED MY PHONE. MY ICONS WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE, EVERY SCREEN HAS A BROWN HUE INCLUDING MY PHOTOS, THE ICONS NO LONGER HAS THEIR NAME UNDER THEM MY PHOTOS ARE BLURRY. I CAN NOT GET INTO MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT! I HAVE ENJOYED MY SAMSUNG PHONES AND HAVE ALWAYS TRUSTED AND FELT SECURE WITH THEM. IT SADDENS ME THAT I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY, BUT THIS LEAVES ME WITH NO OTHER OPTION. I THANK YOU FOR THE YEARS OF DEPENDABILITY.

Thos last update screwed up my phone

Thos last update screwed up my phone. I have been a loyal Samsung customer having purchased TVs, laptops, tablets, and multiple phones. I'm beginning to think Samsung intentionally ruins the phone with the update to make you buy another one. You are Losing me as a customer Samsung

I hate the latest update to my Z flip…

I hate the latest update to my Z flip phone. When texting, it groups words together and if I am trying to override autocorrect, both words are deleted. It skips to the end of the message for no reason. The grammar or spelling prompts with blue or green underlying words is unnecessary. My grammar is far superior to a phone, I don't need my phone to make those decisions for me. I need it to trust what I have written and run with it. Not be constantly over-riding my typing. It's annoying AF.

Hate the most recent update

Only giving this one star because I have to. I hate the new update. Everything moved to the home screen. And you swip up for notifications. Defeats the purpose of there being a home screen. I'd much rather there being a menu.

They changed the heart emoji again :/…

They changed the heart emoji again :/ previously this emoji -> ♡ was wider and looked more like a heart in text messages and social media apps, then we had an update awhile ago that changed it to be narrow and elongated. Recently it changed back to look more like a heart but this most recent update changed it back to being weirdly long and thin, does not look like a heart and it makes me sad. The way it appears in this text looks fine/normal but in all other apps/text messaging screens, it just looks funky.

The worst Phone ever

The worst Phone ever, especially after an update it is a trap, a serious trap. My phone was so good before my last two Updates, now it's just a mobile casket, worse than the worst pain ever. Samsung you have really let me down and dropped the ball even further this time.

Did the update this morning

Did the update this morning. Phone is freezing up, battery was nearly dead in just a few hours after a full charge. My main screen now seems to be the "aw snap" screen. Aggravating, since I depend on my phone and it had been dependable until this morning.

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst phone ever!

From the minute i received the Samsung Galaxy i was not happy with rhe various limitations, especially in rehards to not being able to choose different notifications for different apps. The Feb 2023 Samsung Galaxy software completely ruined my ability to use speak to text. I have to hit the button twice for it to activate, then stops after 2 seconds, even if I'm still talking! Plus, most of the words are horribly wrong! I thought Samsung was supposed to be a better phone? For the price I expected much better. Guess I have to go back to Moto! BYE SAMSUNG!!! YOU SUCK!

No confidence in updates

My last update wrecked my phone and it took me forever to get it working properly again. Another update is showing as due so before installing I thought I'd checkout /research any issues. As a result I'm too frightened to install it!! Zero confidence in Samsung to get it right :(

This update is horrible

This update is horrible. I can only use apps on wifi (I did call my provider and they tried to fix it) the constant text fails, but some of the fails go through, some don't. Apps are very laggy. I'm about to do a factory reset.

Completely messed my Android

Completely messed my Android. NONE of my apps popup or alert anymore when I get new messages, which is UNACCEPTABLE considering I run a small business. I am so done with Android and Samsung it ain't funny. Joining the ranks of my fellow iphone users.

Worst experience with a mobile

I just updated my Samsung A52 and after the update, most applications where not working properly, or were set up to default, even Google Gmail couldn't pair with my phone anymore. I will never buy Samsung phone again in my life, the worst experience with a mobile phone so far.

and I had to update the bad words bcs yall are as soy soft sad as the rest of the world. actually vile.

No hold to remove icons. You should be able to tap &hol but nothing happens. I used to but not now. No moving icons or folders around. Can't copy, cut & paste. This update is the worse yet.
