I was not happy in the beginning where the potential tenants introduced to me were entirely out of my interest, request and information about my apartment. Then new tenants were introduced who were fit my request. Once it worked well I felt happy with the procedures.

What I like about Samtrygg is that you always find a friendly person to help. They put together a great combination of technology and personal service. In the two instances when I needed help during contract signing and paying the invoice, Oliver and Ackim were fantastic and solved issues quickly. They make renting a pleasant experience.

Every time you book an appointment to see an apartment, the owner is always abroad and tells you that a friend will show it to you. But no one shows up.

My experience with samtrygg has been a complete nightmare and I warmly recommend anyone refrain from using this company.
Generally speaking, as a landlord, during the selection of potential tenants the priorities are that 1) your tenants would be able to pay the rent; 2) and keep the house in good conditions.
During the first step, unfortunately I got notified from samtrygg on the interest of some people who did not have an occupation, hence would offer poor guarantees, and unfortunately I had to run this background check myself.
Regarding the second point, my experience with samtrygg was a total nightmare that sent me to the psychologist.
As a landlord before renting my house, I asked what guarantees they would offer in case of damages. Their answer was that they don’t take a deposit but if there is any damage, they will pay for it though an insurance company and the process will be very fast.
When I got my house back it was in indecent conditions: it was extremely dirty that I could not even use my forks; my windows glasses were damaged; the sink was damaged; peed mattresses; destroyed bed; my walls were stained with coffee; some kitchen supplies were robbed; it looked like a tornado has passed through there.
I called Samtrygg and Cecilia replied that I (not them) should call the cleaning company and book a time to schedule the cleaning of my house, which obviously happened after 5 days I got my house back. Samtrygg was expecting me to live in a pig place for 5 days… In addition, I reported the damages to Cecilia and the first questions was if I could prove them. Obviously, I took pics before the lease and after, so I could easily do it. Shockingly, Samtrygg replied that it’s not their responsibility how the tenants left the house, they could only mediate. I called them and asked: “have you taken a deposit in this respect?”. Cecilia answered (in a very settle discriminatory tone): “In Sweden, we do Not take deposit!”. In the USA, you would be reported for these kinds of statements. I replied: “dear, this is a lie, I am Swedish too [although I do not have blue eyes] and in Sweden, we do generally take deposit to cover eventual damages, that is the purpose of the deposit”. This set the tone of our future conversations unfortunately. To sum up, she said that I would need to agree with the tenants if they are keen to repay it and how, Samtrygg can only mediate, and you and the tenants must contact the insurance company. Basically, as a tenant, I relied on Samtrygg and once I got the house back I was at the complete mercy of my tenants who destroyed my house…. I called Samtrygg and another operator replied who could hardly speak English. And this person completely misunderstood the entire situation and reported that I did not have an insurance company (which was obviously incorrect, in Sweden you are obliged to have a hemförsäkring). Before signing the contract, I (myself) demanded that we, both tenants and landlord (me), would prove that we had a hemförsaring. I was literally on the point of crying as at a certain point it was like talking to a wall. My phone calls were not answered and to get in touch with them was very hard. That’s why do not trust samtrygg as they are incapable of offering any guarantees according to my experience. I can show you pictures of how my house was left before and after the lease. Obviously, it was a battle to get any kind of PARTIAL (NOT COMPLETE) refund from the tenants and now I am in therapy because of this and I am obviously paying for it. Importantly, I got the partial refunds only after 4 months I got my house back and I had to paint the walls myself as the tenants refused to pay for it, they hardly paid for the materials, they even denied the damage of the window, trying to blame the cleaning company (which was obviously false). I had to contact IKEA myself to get my spare parts to fix a brand-new bed that the tenants nearly destroyed.
Importantly the tenants did not show up at the check-out visit (hence by law they are automatically wrong). Regarding the kitchen supplies that were robbed, I was asked to polis anmäla, … sure the police is running after shooting in Stockholm and of course they have time to think about my robbed stuff, right? 😉 My brand new blandare is still lying in the kitchen, destroyed, I renovated my kitchen 3 years ago. In the end, I was so exhausted and I burned out that I dropped it and I decided to leave it, I needed to protect my mental health.
To sum up: Run away from this company, they make false promises and they will wave at you once in need. Important note: I signed the contract with Hans and then my referent became Cecilia. It looks like there is a big turnover of people in the company, which looks bad, and you, as a customer, are unable to build any trustful relationship.

As an incoming masters student with family, Samtrygg AB has help me find my accommodation just right in time before I arrived in Sweden. I did a virtual viewing which is very convenient. After the viewing, I fill in the portal that I was interested in the property. Thereafter, Leo of Samtrygg AB called me and he briefed me about the property and answers all my queries and even worries. He is very knowledgeable. It was a smooth process, their portal is user friendly and you can register even without personnummer.
Also, payments were through online - bank transfer and through Riverty which is reliable and safe.
