Sadly disappointing experience.
After lots of research i found a beautiful chain and pendant i requested extra pictures which were sent and got a discount a little over the 10% offered online which was appreciated.
When i received the item i knew it was not the 29.75g weight as advertised so i weighed it and it was 17g.
That’s a massive difference given the price of 18carat gold.
I immediately called and explained what happened and was told 3 times in the conversation that i can return the item but returned items are weighed. This instantly worried me because of the obvious mistake and i was made to feel like i was in the wrong. I had to point out in the conversation that the lady had said that three times before she changed her tone towards me. She said she would contact her back office and see if it was an error there end which to me should have been the first thing that was suggested to an upset customer.
I said if the item was valued based on the weight of it was wrong would i be entitled to a partial refund. The lady said it doesn’t work like that but she would find out if a partial discount could be offered for the discrepancy.
When the lady called me back she said the weight listing was an error there end and that no discount will be offered due to this but i can still return the item.
The lady sent me a prepaid package to return the item and i will be sure to record it to save any more confusion.
Although in my feedback email response i was told “sorry if explaining our standard returns policy made you feel uncomfortable” Id just like to say it was the fact it was said three times that made me feel uncomfortable and that was before your team said it could of been an error your end which infact it was. Naturally that would make anyone feel uncomfortable when they have spent substantial money on an item that is massively different to the description.
I was also told i could have asked more questions but i never would have thought i need to question it the weight listed was correct.
The initial error was not so much my issue but more the way it was handled so in future maybe you can be more willing to realise the error may have been your end which it was.

I was just passing by this place, and I saw a watch i liked showing from their window. I went in and I was welcomed, briefed about the watch. It felt nice and warm talking about the watch, thanks to Roth.

Beautiful jewellery and excellent service - particularly from Jeanette who went over and above to help me get the piece I wanted. Anything I buy from them comes beautifully packaged and is delivered next day via the "before 1pm" service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Spotted a nice ring "on sale" on the S&R website. A quick call confirmed that - even on sale at a highly discounted price - the piece was fully returnable. Order placed, ring delivered the next day in a nice box and appropriate packaging. Very accurate description and excellent photos - the ring was the right size (as per S&R's measurement), and has become one of my wife's favourite pieces.

A very honest and straightforward company to deal with. We were offered a fair price for our necklace based on my description and photos. We were sent a secure bag to send it to them and immediately on receipt of the necklace they honoured the price offered. A BACS was done within about one working day.
