Excellent engineer; poor customer comms before he arrived

Poor customer comms. Excellent engineer.

Excellent installation engineer - knowledgeable, competent and helpful. Also flexible - recognises that it's your home he's drilling holes into!

The scheduling of the appointment was frustrating. They require you to be in for twelve whole hours - 8am to 8pm - and won't tell you when within that time the guy will arrive. For me it was after 6pm - which would be fine, but not so much as I'd had to stay in since 0800 in case he turned up earlier!

Even when I called in the afternoon to ask an ETA and was told the guy was a couple of jobs away and would contact me to let me know, I got no info.

Then 6pm came and the office phones closed, and you couldn't ask the office if the guy was even still coming.

Eventually, he did. The guy was great - and the installation is very satisfactory - but a shame about the booking experience. Customer expectations could be managed a lot better.

National Broadband installation

The engineer who installed the national broadband equipment was very helpful and efficient. Having said that I was told he would arrive between 9 and 11am, but he didn't arrive until 1pm

I am very happy with the installation the technician was very professional and competent at his job and was done and dusted in no time.
Done some speed tests 100 mbps
Download and 10 mbps upload consistently with a good strong signal very happy customer.

The technician was friendly and…

The technician was friendly and obliging. We are in a very isolated location in North Wales which is difficult to get to and the weather was very poor. He worked his way through the problem with a cheerful attitude and got our internet sorted. We were very please.

Cheerful, impressive service

Very pleased with SatWorks experience, both for the installation of the outdoor antenna and interior route over a year ago, and recently, when installer returned to fix our sudden loss of speed. Turned out EE had reconfigured the mast and I had erroneously done a reset on the router, so Satworks settings had to be put back again. All very cheerful, and impressive service. (And speeds back up in the 50s-60s).

Technician brilliant, customer service rubbish

Technician (Tristan) was brilliant for the 4G antenna install - patient, knowledgeable, helped make sure all devices were connected.
Administration beforehand however was appalling. Specifically asked if a morning appointment was possible. Was told we would be called the day before to confirm time - didn't happen. Tried calling them at 9am on the day - no answer. Tried calling again at 9.30am - answerphone. Finally 10am got to speak to someone. Engineer then called us to say he had been specifically told that we wanted an afternoon appointment!! What rubbish customer service.

Thanks to Howard our Engineer, we've now got service at our rural property where other providers have simply forgotten us. Howard took time to try all options before settling on the right 4G supplier for our location...a real hero! Thanks to National Broadband for a prompt, professional service.... really appreciated.

Installer arrived a day early

Installer arrived a day early, but apart from the surprise everything went very smoothly.
The installer provided a very professional installation.
Found a local mast to connect through very quickly, as a result our download speed has doubled and our upload speed has increased 100-200 times (yes it was that bad). Would definitely recommend.

It could have gone better

They gave me an appointment for April 23, 2024, I was at home waiting all day and no one showed up, at 4 I tried to call and they told me they would arrive around 5/6pm, but they didn't arrive Nobody. I had to call them the next day and they moved the installation to Sunday. Unfortunately I couldn't accept the appointment on Sunday as my daughter is hospitalized in Edinburgh hospital and I had to go to her. I called back at least 10 times and no one answered me again. I only received an email today saying they will come to install broadband for me in 20 days. After this review they contacted me earlier and they solve the problems.

I am so thankful to BRDY for providing…

I am so thankful to BRDY for providing me with satellite broadband. I have a very poor mobile signal (usually zero inside the house) and have no other means of getting internet!

The engineer came today from the other end of the country and worked very hard in horrible weather to replace the old satellite dish and ALL equipment. He did an excellent job and we are thrilled to have even faster speeds now. Thank you so much!

Installation was performed within a couple of days of booking the kit. Satworks kept me well informed of what was going on in advance.

Installer himself was very competent and helpful, prepared to do whatever was necessary to get us the best result.

On the 15/04/24 Satwork installer for…

On the 15/04/24 Satwork installer for Starlink very professionally and Jo satisfactorily install my new starlink. I felt greatly impressed. As James the installer, he was very respectful, tidy, he kept the area clean after work. Yes, he was also chattu and friendly but very very work orient. I would say, his attitude in General is thus, a good image of his company.. my comment iwould be incomplete as I do award him 10/10 and his company of Starwork a 5 star award. So, goodluck Starworks

Had nothing but problems with this Brdy…

Had nothing but problems with this Brdy so called super fast satellite broadband service not working properly not getting the promised service call to rectify the issue that I took advantage of the 14 day cooling off period and cancelled the contract.
Your installation engineer came to the house, he agreed there was a problem but could not sort the problem, say he would contact a person and get them to call me on the Monday or Tuesday, I did not receive the call and therefore terminated my contract as my cooling off period was ending. Two weeks of broken promises and I had had enough.
