Flight cancelled, delayed
My London–Karachi flight in July was cancelled/changed, resulting in a 19.5-hour delay. Under UK261, we are entitled to compensation, but despite submitting multiple complaint forms and emails, I’ve had no case number or proper response for over 40 days.
I contacted Saudia via email, but they replied saying they can’t do much.
Has anyone faced a similar issue with Saudia? How did you get your claim resolved? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I wish I can give them negative stars.
I wish I can give them negative stars.
Absolutely careless staff at Jeddah Airport.
Keep us waiting at checkin counter and blame us of noshow after issuing boarding pass.
We complain but nobody listen.
We had to buy 4 ticket again.
Avoid these criminal jokers.
Horrendous customer service.
Horrendous customer service.
My baggage got lost on this airline in Apr 25, been trying to get in touch since but no cooperation from Saudi airline at all.
AVOID at all costs.
I travelled from London Heathrow to…
I travelled from London Heathrow to Riyadh with Saudi airlines. I have to say it was probably one of the best flight experiences I have ever had. I am a nervous flier, so I was as always very anxious prior to this flight, I was attending my daughter’s wedding so I had to go. There was a lot of leg space and there was a blanket and a pillow on the seat waiting for me. A tv screen on the back of every seat, with a charging port for my phone. There was a great selection of films to choose from. The captain was very communicative which I found very reassuring and the cabin crew were very attentive. I have a gluten free diet, which was provided for and was very tasty. The flight was very smooth, with little turbulence, always a plus for me and both take off and landing were smooth as well. I really can’t praise this airline enough, they made a very anxious flier reassured and happy.
The worst airline EVER. YouTube video to follow!
Our flights were cancelled without explanation. After we returned, we found out we could claim compensation.
After weeks of emailing, I was given 3 vouchers as compensation for my refund. I have emailed their back office for an update to the vouchers being refunded to my account. It has now been 3 weeks and still no refund.
My friends were on the same flight as me and they have already had their refunds and compensation.
I have chased this over 3 times now and thier back office tell me they are waiting to hear back from their finance department. How can 2 departments not communicate within a company? It makes no sense
My friend has over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and we will be posting a full video of the experience on YouTube. Including the rude staff at the airport, the lack of communication and the experience after.
I urge everyone to watch the video before booking flights with SAUDIA to Ummrah as I'm sure it will SHOCK you.
Good service and on time, give or take
Manila to London via Jedah. A few minutes delay at Manila, but not many / much. Very good check in staff. Great flight staff. Jedah nice modern airport. Inexpensive and very fast (stop over just over 2 hours, total just over 20 hours total flight / stopover which beats Qatar). Perfect!
BTW all the one star reviews on Trustpilot do not reflect those on tripadvisor or the industry report on timeliness and fewer cancellations; Saudia came 4th which is very very very good.
Avoid Saudi Airlines at all costs
Avoid Saudi Airlines at all costs – Worst airline experience of my life
I booked an expensive direct flight from Jeddah to Munich for my wife and two kids (9 years old and a 3-month-old baby). We purchased the tickets 8 months in advance. At check-in, the staff coldly told my wife the flight was overbooked and her seats were given away – simply because she didn’t do online check-in. This is outrageous. A mother with a newborn and child left stranded because of poor management and zero sympathy.
Instead of the direct 5-hour flight we paid for, she was forced on a 10-hour nightmare through Rome with layovers, carrying a newborn. No apology, no empathy, no compensation – just arrogance and excuses.
This is not just bad service – it is disrespect for passengers, negligence, and a total failure in airline management.
For anyone considering flying Saudia: don’t. Choose a professional airline like Qatar Airways, Emirates, or Etihad – airlines that actually care about families and honor the tickets you purchase.
Saudia has proven itself unreliable, unsympathetic, and unprofessional. Never again.
Terrible experience! They are Liars!
Their flights are almost always delayed. Got to the gate and the plane and staff were there but they did not let me board saying the gate is closed and my luggage is taken off. They tried selling me a business class ticket for the next flight, but I refused and purchased with Emirates. When I reached my destination the airport staff informed that Saudi left my luggage there a day before from the flight I missed. They clearly lied to me! Then they cancelled my return flight and refunded me peanuts back. My same tickets were being sold for almost triple the price. There customer service skills are zero, they don’t care about customers, just want to make money!
Please STRICTLY AVOID this Airline
Please avoid this airline. They keep changing flights and will never reply, will never help you to give you alternative flights.
Please STRICTLY AVOID booking their flight otherwise you will be stuck in a different country without any return flight with Saudi airlines rode behaviour.
AIRLINE changed our flight and now they aren't providing alternative tickets to my children. We are stuck. My daughter is closed to loose her A level admission deadline and she will be wasted a whole year. We requested the airline many times but the representative are very rude, unhelpful. They don't bother.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE.
PEOPLE WITH BABIES AVOID SAUDI AIRLINES
Avoid traveling with Saudi Airlines if you are with kids, babies, or have a disability. The flight itself is fine, but we paid extra for seats with extra legroom and a bassinet. Unfortunately, the seats we were given didn’t have the hooks to attach a bassinet, even though the seats next to us did. The flight attendants refused to help, despite the fact that our booking specifically stated a bassinet would be provided. They also don’t offer assistance if you need to prepare baby formula, nor do they allow families with children to board first.
On top of that, Saudi regulations are so strict that you can’t really complain you risk getting into trouble, so you’re forced to just accept your fate and move on. The airport staff are also extremely rude, with an attitude that makes you feel unwelcome, almost as if you’re inconveniencing them by flying Saudi.
However, if you’re traveling alone or only with adults, it’s manageable, since the tickets are cheap.

Our experience with Saudia Airlines was…
Our experience with Saudia Airlines was very disappointing.
For our return journey, our flight was delayed more than 6 hours from , and we were only informed a few hours before departure. This delay made it impossible to catch our connecting flight . As a result, we had to rebook with another airline and ended up arriving in Barcelona one full day later, incurring additional costs and a great deal of stress.
Unfortunately, this was not the only issue. On our outbound flights, we also experienced significant problems, which made the overall travel experience with Saudia very unsatisfactory.
We expected more reliability and better communication from a national airline.
Deeply Disappointed by Service on Saudia Airlines
I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience on Saudia Airlines on 26/08/2025, Jeddah to Heathrow.
When meal service began, a male attendant only offered omelette or vegetarian. I clearly explained that I do not eat eggs, not just out of preference but because I react to them. Instead of listening, he insisted that I “had to eat the eggs.” I asked why I wasn’t being given the same choices as other passengers, but he ignored my concern and walked away, wasn't bothered to check if other crew had other meals options.
As a result, I was left without a meal, despite paying for a full ticket. My children also struggled: one chose the vegetarian option, but it was so spicy they couldn’t eat it. Watching the attendant dismiss me so rudely left them confused and shaken — no parent should have to see their children upset because of staff behavior.
To his credit, a female attendant later noticed what had happened and kindly offered me a croissant, yogurt, and a drink. Her professionalism was appreciated, but it does not erase the fact that the earlier treatment was unacceptable.
Adding to the disappointment, there was no entertainment on the flight, which made the whole journey even more unpleasant.
I expect an airline to provide respectful service, basic meal accommodation, and a professional attitude toward paying passengers. Unfortunately, this experience with Saudia Airlines fell far short of that standard. Based on this, I would not recommend flying with Saudia Airlines.
Flight delayed to oblivion
Flight delayed to oblivion. Racist behavior towards Bangladeshis.
Just because we'd be late to our connecting flight they didn't take us to jeddha. Yet they assured us that the connecting flight will be delayed if not they'll manage connecting flights. They have failed in every ways.
Fraud airline and doesn't refund even…
Fraud airline and doesn't refund even in case of flight cancellations which is hours before the flight and don't provide alternative arrangement and had to buy expensive last minute tickets for my family . Their customer helpdesk says that they can't help with refund and they can't take it forward either so better leave the issue . Most pathetic airline and even if they give free ticket , best to avoid this airline . Never again will travel with them and insist people to avoid the airline to stay away from last minute hassles
Blood in my seat belt - Worst experience and customer support ever
I found my seatbelt full of BLOOD. They tried to clean it at the beginning and only when it got ever messier and disgusting they changed my whole seat with a new seatbelt. I sent them a detailed complaint to the support along with photos showing the blood and it took them 1 month to reply back with a TEMPLATE and they closed the case. Horrible dangerous experience with a horrible customer support showing zero care, respect and empathy for their customer. It's my first ever time to leave a review here but after their 1 month delay template reply that was it for me.
Saudi airlines back trip flight was…
Saudi airlines back trip flight was full they refused use to give us refund or give us next flight available no accommodation no compensation nothing so we have to buy new tickets me and my children I call them no help I email them no reply
At first I was a bit reluctant to book
At first I was a bit reluctant to book, but over the past 10 years I've made several flights with Saudia, and now I'm a fan. The seats are comfortable, the food is good, staff is friendly. Generous baggage allowance. And never drunk passengers!
