Absolute P*** take. This is billed as a family festival, we went along and upon entry they refused us to take a small picnic blanket in, no reason given just that they’re not allowed! But it seems if... See more

Absolute bloody joke! Clearly Oasis have cancelled at Worcester because they couldn’t get ticket sales and it’s dead here. We were only aware stereophonic had cancelled because we saw the bands TikTok... See more

Expensive for what you got

I was quite excited about hearing that there was a sausage and cider festival at The Kings Hall in Stoke on Trent. I love cider and I love sausages. I thought £13.75 was a bit steep but going off other beer and cider festivals I have been to I thought it would include a comparative glass or ‘free’ pint. It didn’t!!!!!

It did however provide you with the opportunity to purchase cider at £6 a pint yes £6 a pint and a sausage in a cheap roll for £6 yes another £6 for a sausage

I can not recommend as it was way too expensive for what and how the organisers supplied and presented the cider and sausages to me

The music was ok but then it would be after few pints of cider

What surprised was that it was card only, they did not accept cash at all

There was a serious lack of seating probably it was to allow the organisers the opportunity to cram in any many folk as they did. It was heaving!!

I enjoyed the session as I went with a friend

Never again....total rip off!

I booked months and months ago early bird tickets for the Sausage and Cider festival at £10.00 per person , party of 6- 1 of which could not attend but still £60 spent.
We were excited to be attending , looking forward as we thought to sampling quite a few ciders and different types of sausages.
On walking in we found that there were no samples available , a sausage in a roll that was too small was £6 each and the ciders were averaging £3.00 a half pint and £6.00 a pint!! I asked at the front door as to what was I actually for £10.00 a head ?
Was advised that it covered the band and eating competitions...
The band were not good and after 2 songs ,
and £30 on hotdogs and £17.00 on drinks , 2 of these being soft drinks. Total of £107.00 spent for 5 people and we left after an hour.
We feel like this event was mis-sold and that to not be able to sample the sausages and drink prior to choosing which ones to pay for was very poor considering the huge mark up being charged for every purchase made.
Never attending again - once stung n all that

Avoid

Avoid. Went with friends but left shortly after arriving. Overpriced cider (£6 a pint) and a burnt sausage (also £6). The music was awful, the equaliser or something must have been off and it kept going from very quiet to very loud. There was also not enough chairs. Tried contacting the event three different ways but they haven’t replied.

Had a really great time with my family…

Had a really great time with my family when we went! Big selection of ciders available and the sausage was hard to beat! Some really fun entertainment throughout the day, including the chilli eating competition. Would definitely go again the next time it’s in town!

Where do all these 1 star reviews come from?

I had already bought tickets to this when I decided to look at the reviews and then started to worry because of the amount of single star reviews about.....All I can say is, I'm not sure what else they expected? Have they ever been to a festival? Did they expect luxury?

I went to the Blackpool event in a party of 4 and we had an absolute blast. Plenty of different ciders (around 17 different ones) and sausages (at least 12), plus some other drinks. The room was full of tables and chairs, however we got there about 45 minutes late so these were all taken. Didn't matter because the entertainment (Parklife) were awesome and we didn't want to sit down at all!

Drinks work out at just under £5 and sausages at about 40p more, but people need to have realistic expectations of these events and understand that these prices are not excessive for an event with a monopoly on your custom - I remember paying £30 for 2 beers and a pizza at Wembley!

If you're sitting on the fence on whether or not to go.....just go. Have an ace time and get merry and fat! Don't be a miserable little sausage like the 1 star reviewers...

ps. I also see people moaning about the 2 and a half token for the sausage price and moaning that they had to buy 2 at a time.....The tokens actually snap in half - of course you'd know this if you asked any one of the staff instead of just hating life!

Brilliant evening with great bands

Brilliant evening with great bands, great food and great drinks. Would certainly go again.

Only downside was getting in the venue. Not enough people scanning tickets and poor queuing system. Apart from that it was a brilliant event.

Brill

Could barely walk after 6 pints of delicious rhubarb cider. Had a nice curry bratwurst hot dog to like the stomach that was lovely. Roll on next time.

Terrible

Terrible , left after one cider and one sausage . Paid £6 for 1 can of brothers cider that you can get in tesco . We got there an hour after opening and one of 3 stalls had sold out of their cider !! Blackpool 2022 . Forced hype over a eating contest that was really underwhelming. No one could genuinely come out and have a smile on their face after having their pants down for entry fee + 30 quid for 2 sausages on too small of a bun and 2 generic ciders

Bad paying system and not enough seating

The token system is a bad idea - it is so the owners of the company can make as much money off of us as possible. We just wanted one more pint each but had no token left out, so instead of being able to buy one pint we would've had to buy 10 more tokens for £30. It works out about £5 a pint and £6 for a sausage - which is a bit exoesnive to spend the whole time there. We ended up leaving after 1 and a half/2 hrs as there was not enough seating and wanted to go and sit down somewhere. I probabaly wouldn't return unless you can just pay in cash for the things you wanted on the day.
